About us

Abbey Road is family owned and operated since 1982. We presently have 3 Chimney Safety Institute of America Certified Sweeps, (CSIA 1453, 4499, and 7531.) We also have 3 CSIA Certified Dryer Exhaust Technicians, (C-det 20, 52, and 555.) Abbey Road is certified to install Heatshield.We expect payment at time of service unless previous arrangements have been made. Angie's List members will receive 10% discounts on cleanings, which cannot be combined with any other discounts.

Sweep showed up right on time. Was very pleasant and very professional. We got into an extended conversation - off topic - but very enjoyable. No problem with that. He cleaned the chimney and fireplace from inside and was very clean - no dirt or mess at all. I was a little disappointed in the "inspection" part as he did not go onto the roof. He told me he didn't need to. I believe I was charged $75 for his "ground level" look, and if so, that is excessive in my opinion.

He was on time. He called to ask if it was ok to show up a little earlier. He inspected both chimneys and gave us a good description of our chimneys conditions. He was honest to confirm that our basement chimney didn't need cleaning and gave us some suggestions since we are not using it much. He cleaned the 1st level chimney and pointed were some basic caulking needed to be done. Very clean work with his large vacuum and large floor covering. I was expecting more dust. I did notice a very light-smoky-dusty smell (my husband couldn't smell anything) but I was expecting much more odors and dust from a chimney cleaning. Even the floor can go another week with no cleaning!

They are great. They are very clean. He is not done with the work but I have seen what he has done. So far so good. I will continue to use them in the future I am very happy with them.

I thought that they did a really good job and they made sure that none of the debris got all over my carpet. The price was really reasonable and fair. I like that they stuck to the price they quoted me and didn't try to up the price.
