We had an emergency with our furance last winter. I spoke with Bill, and he advised if we could wait until the next day it would save us a lot of money. They ended up being late to the appointment and even took off $50. They did a great job repairing the furnace. When it came time to replace the furnace and a/c, he came again on 6/18, he wrote a proposal for a new a/c unit for $2000 and suggested I speak to my husband about buying both the a/c and furnace to save money. I called Bill back and let him know we would be going forward with replacing both. He informed me since it would be a rush installation, they could call over the phone for the permit. I let him know I wanted to hold money until I received the inspection and permit. They came two days later to install my new units. I have in writing that the last $100 will be paid after the inspection. The only way to get the inspection is to have a permit with the inspector?s name. The next day, I realized my basement was filled with condensation and dripping down my brand new furnace, which is already rusting. I called Demonia?s about every three days, leaving messages every time, he wasn?t returning my calls. Finally his technician called me back about 3 and a half weeks later and told me Bill was on vacation and had told the tech to call me and asked when he could come inspect the unit. The tech came out and said I need larger duct work and need my plenum insulated. I told him I didn?t want it insulated until I knew why there was so much condensation. He told me I would have to pay out of pocket, which I told him it should have been assessed when Bill was here. I told him I needed Bill to come back to look at this too. I tried calling Bill multiple times after this. I then called him from my son?s phone and he answered right away. I explained to him what was going on and asked why he hadn?t called me back. He said he doesn?t answer private or restricted numbers and deletes the messages without listening to them. He said he could come back in about 2 weeks ago. When he finally came, he told me I didn?t need new duct work and the plenum just needed insulation. He blamed the condensation in the basement on a tiny drip from a pipe, then he tried to blame it on the hot water tank exhaust. I asked him about the cold air returns not being connected to my furnace, which he said they don?t need to be. I explained I did my homework and Cleveland requires they be tied into the furnace. He told me to do this, it would cost me an additional $450 and he ?doesn?t do sh** for free.? He told me he had a job at St. Rocco?s Church and would contact me or I could contact him and he could swing by our home. He said I could turn the unit on two hours before his arrival so he could see the condensation. It has been at least two and a half weeks since I spoke with him. I got tired of waiting and called the City of Cleveland and have finally had an inspection and have numerous violations. The primary party responsible is listed as Bill Demonia and secondary is my husband and I. The inspector said he had called Demonia and left a message and he still hasn?t called him back within the last week. Violation number 1 is failure to acquire a permit because the City of Cleveland does not allow phone calls for permits. Number 2 is for filing for a permit after the work was already started.
I just spoke with Midwest Housing Partnership on September 12, and they let me know that Demonia?s has still not pulled the permits, which means they have not accepted the certified mail from the City of Cleveland. My lawyer is going to be sending a letter to Demonia?s demanding he remove both units he installed and put in new units that are compatible and meet city code. I left two messages for the city inspector, but have not heard back from him yet. I want to find out if the violation letter was accepted or if it was returned to the city. The inspector had given him 3 days to pull the permit, but if it was over it would be a $200 fine, and that was about August 31st. The lawyer will be giving him 30 days to comply with our demand, and at that time if he fails to respond, I will have to file a lawsuit.
"We never installed a job for this guy at this address in June 2012 ,we did do a job for a couple who had rental property in rocky river that had the same last name the job was installed in 2011 and it was for 2 furnaces and 2 air conditioners we took care of them every time they called 2 times for dirty filer 1 time for dirty A/C condenser was blocked 1 time they said the compressor in the one outside unit was loud so we replaced it, all without charging them, after the second time for dirty filter I told them if we come back out on a dirty filter or dirty unit we would have to charge them,a lady called a couple of weeks ago about an A/C unit that we didn't install she wanted a circuit board for it wanted to know the price so I put her on hold for maby 30 seconds at most when I went to take her info down she was no longer there I'm not sure if it was the same lady or not it sounded like her very foreign broken English, also we went to the rental property to take care of the units no one was home 3 times all the problems were due to neglect not changing filters ,cleaning furnace after remodeling painting rentals also not cleaning or having A/C unit cleaned off after the cotton woods bloomed.we took care of every problem listed plus 3 calls with no one there all free of charge."
"We do heating and cooling only the salesman that sold the job sold a bathroom remodel and windows on the side after we fired him the (member name removed) called us and told us about the jobs and asked if he still worked for us I told them no,the (member name removed) said they can't get ahold of the salesman and he promised to fix the window wrap and give them $500,they also said the only reason they used the salesman is because we did a great job on the furnace and A/C unit.this job had nothing to do with us except the salesman who became their friend when we did the job going over there house for dinner and drinks.I stopped by the house and looked at the job and asked to see the invoice they said they didn't have one,the bathroom remodel job looked great the windows looked good too but who ever installed them used the existing bottom aluminum wrap it still looked fine but she wanted new so I paid a company to fix the bottom wrap even though I had nothing to do with. This job but I would not give her the $500 so she's taking it out on us with a bad review."
