"Since I don't track social media closely, [Member Name Removed] 12, 2017, is the first time I became aware of this review. Please accept the following response to Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s damaging & completely false review of my Company. Briefly. I was referred to Mr. [Member Name Removed] by a close friend and provided him with a timely estimate of three large trees on his property. I provided him with a written estimate and explained to him that his job was discounted by 30% because of our shared acquaintance. After some discussion on his written estimate, he scheduled us to perform the work. After meeting with Mr. [Member Name Removed] for his free consultation, which lasted an hour. I then spent an additional hour making special arrangements to ensure his job was completed safely by contacting the utility to sleeve the high tension wires and still other utilities to mark underground wires. Additionally, I made reservations with a large crane company to rent a specialized crane and log truck, which both were required. A week before Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s work was to be performed he contacted my Company and informed us he hired another company who could perform the work cheaper than us. While I had spent a couple hours of personal time making arrangements at this point I accepted Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s decision and cancelled my arrangements with both utility companies and the other contractor with the crane(s). I indeed scheduled other work. I had no other content with Mr. [Member Name Removed] and I never said anything derogatory regarding his decision to go with someone else. The very next week, Mr. [Member Name Removed] contacted me again explaining to me that his "cheaper" contractor bailed on him and asked if I would be willing to perform his work, which I accepted a second time because of our mutual acquaintance. I explained to Mr. [Member Name Removed] a third time, the price of his work, and asked him to sign his work order to avoid any needless confusion. I reconnected with the utilities and rescheduled the crane services for his job, which added an additional hour of unpaid time to my Company. A few days prior to his job being completed and with no signed contract it was Mr. [Member Name Removed] who sent a text message my Company asking for a discount for which I replied via text only after Mr. [Member Name Removed] would not returns his calls to our office "This is Bill Seymour; this is getting silly! If you don't want your trees done by me tell me now; I have plenty of easier jobs." I find my response to Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s indecisiveness and poor judgment as appropriate. After all, Mr.[Member Name Removed] received a half hour consultation, a free written & detailed estimate, additional non-paid time with our Company planning behind the scenes to safely execute his work not once but twice. If Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s review was even remotely accurate, he could have at least explained the fact he cancelled on us for a cheaper estimate and refused to sign his written work order despite repeated attempts to have him do so. Stating that the owner of a reputable and successful business is "insane" or "unhinged" simply because that entity does not want to be stiffed a second time by the same individual is tasteless and senseless. I didn't resort to name-calling or labeling Mr. [Member Name Removed] when he cancelled or wrote this false review; I will let the facts speak for me. Thank you. Bill Seymour"
It went wonderfully. Seymour's Tree Service removed a large tree from my yard. They arrived when they said they would, and did the work as discussed. While watching them work, they were efficient, quick and safe. The tree was very tall with many, many small branches--everything was cleaned up from my yard before they left. There was nothing left for me to do or dispose of on my own.
There were several people on the crew and they were respectful of my property and did their jobs well. They performed the services quoted and I am completely pleased . If I have additional tree needs, Seymour will be the first company I call. In addition to great work, they returned calls and answered questions promptly.
Overall, excellent experience.
These trees were over the property line and Seymour did there very best to keep material, particularly the heavy trunks, from falling on the neighbors property. They did this in record time. I have had similar work done by others for more money and much longer time.
One man climbed the frees. While he climbed he cut off the limbs, controlling they fall. Other men ground up the limbs and raked up the mess. They ground up the stumps and removed the debris in the hole. The stump grinder was used again to clean up the remaining roots in the hole.
In this day and age the price was very reasonable.
If I had any complaints it would be that a few twigs were not racked up. Most people would not noticed this.
In less than one hour, our job was complete! Two large trees were removed, branches were chipped, stumps were ground and the yard was raked and cleaned-up nicely. We obtained other quotes and Seymour was 1/2 the cost. They were on the job promptly and the trees were down in record time. The trees were not "dropped" but cut in sections and lowered to the ground to eliminate damage and ruts in the yard. The six men were professional, polite and worked at a very fast pace. We were very pleased with them and would highly recommend them.
