I had a similar experience as a few of the others who provided reviews. Had a plumbing job I wanted to have quoted at my house. Made numerous calls and emails to attempt to get a quote. I could not get one response from the person responsible for their plumbing estimates. Very unreliable, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere.

We wanted central air conditioning for our 2 story house, with no ductwork in it. We were told by a couple other Hvac installers it would be too hard to install in our house, or would take too long and they did not want the job. We called Gearhart’s. Their sales manager Andy Luidhardt, came out in a couple days, looked our house over and said ducts could be run in our attic and in closets to cool our whole house. He was very knowledgeable and great to work with. He got back to us promptly with an estimate. We hired them for the job and they were able to start the work about 6 weeks later. The crew was friendly, polite, professional, punctual, and tidy. They cleaned up, vacuumed at the end of every day, and were careful to not track in dirt. They were also, the most quiet of crews we have ever had doing work in our home. They were careful to place the duct pipes in the least obtrusive places in the closets. We were very pleased with the installers. Our air conditioning is quiet, works well and we are happy! During the installation we had an emergent plumbing problem, nothing to do with the air conditioning. We called them and they had someone out to our house within a 1/2 hour to fix our problem. They are a great company to work with!

I'm a renter, and my landlord called Gearheart to fix my air conditioner when their maintenance people couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.  They came out the next day and and added some refrigerant, which worked like a charm!  Until about 12 hours later, when the outside unit stopped working entirely.  My rental company was closed since it was a Saturday, but Gearheart was open, so I gave them a call.  Just a few hours later, the same technician was here and working on my AC.  He went and found the parts he needed, and got it working again.  I really appreciate the quick service- it gets hot in the summer!!   Would definitely recommend- very polite, punctual, and professional.  I don't know the price, since the AC unit is under my landlord's responsibility in the lease and they are the one paying for it.

Same thing as the review written on 08/12/2012 happened to me as well. When this place wants to they just simply ignore you. I needed clay tile sewer replaced with PVC due to tree roots. I called numerous times and was always screened, you know who is calling please. Forget this place, lousy customer service and apparently he has enough business like shooting fish in a barrel. No, I would never use this ever. Terrible experience!!!!! Good luck, you will need it if you hire this place.
It is one thing if you have so much work to be done that you cannot simply work in a particular new job but at least be honest with the potential customer and tell them that there is no way we can schedule until some date in the future. Is that really so hard to do?
As far as this business do not try to contact me because this time I will ignore you!!!!

They're very good. They're basically the plumber to go to in the Bowling Green area. I think they're pretty comparable to other people. I think they're good.

I called Gearhart's at 4 PM on a Friday afternoon in a panic because I realized the hot water was only tepid. I had a house full of family guests and not having hot water was a nightmare. They weren't able to guarantee that someone would come out that day, but hopefully either that day or Saturday. Within 45 minutes of my call, I received a call from Bob that he was on his way. By 5:30 PM, the water heater was fixed and we were well on our way to having hot water once again. I was so relieved and thankful for their prompt response and ability to get it fixed. We have used Gearhart's for most of our plumbing and heating needs over the last 20 years, always been quite satisfied, but this service was exceptional in my opinion.

Punctual.  They ended up performing some additional repiping screwed up by the previous plumber.  Installed new 50 gallon high efficiency natural gas hot water tank.  Main service tech was amazing in detail to all aspects of the job.  I am very picky when it comes to having the job done correctly.  And they even cleaned up after themselves!  All completed in one day.  Extremely professional.  This is the second time that we have had them do work.  If you want it done right the first time at a fair price, give them a try.

They are reliable and prompt. They are just good. The price was acceptable.They are there when they say. They put on little booties when they come into the house and they are conscious of their surroundings. I will certainly use them again.

They always have the right tools to do the work. Their price is heavty but they do quality work. They do a very good job and know what they are doing.

I think it worked out pretty well. The first initial visit worked our really well. The guys were great. They answered all my questions and everything. There was a second visit to fix the work which I wasn't happy on the timing. They said they were going to get back to me within a few day and it ended up being a few weeks. And, the way they did everything, I guess it wasn't discussed.

In my recently purchased home I needed to wanted to have the very old hot water tank replaced before it completely stopped working. Gearhart came and looked things over and agreed that the tank was very old and not very efficient and should probably be replaced. I wanted an 'on demand' tank and was told that although they could install one, because the ventilation was virtually nonexistent, they would have to install ventilation as well which would add to the cost. Because I was on a budget, I elected to not go that route. So Gearhart gave me an estimate for just replacing the current tank with a new/efficient tank. They arrived on time. While they were removing the old tank they found that the bottom had completely corroded when it separated from the tank. They had to basically scrap the tank bottom off the floor before they could begin installing the new tank. That added to the cost a little, but not much. A couple of minor problems they found with the piping was fixed at no additional cost. All in all, I was very happy with the service they provided. Although they were a tad bit more expensive (but not by that much), they were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They completely cleaned any mess made before they left. If I have any future plumbing problems, I would definitely call Gearhart Plumbing before I called anyone else

My family owns apartment rentals and we use Gearhart Plumbing for all our plumbing needs. They always respond quickly, same day if necessary, and get the job done right the first time around. Gearhart's technicians are polite, considerate and good with our tenants. We will continue to use Gearhart Plumbing in the future. Crystal

Talked to the owner, since it was the day after Thanksgiving, his staff was limited but he would get somebody out that am. Service was prompt, technician was knowledgible and very courtious. Job down well

Failure from start to finish.

Everything went great. I have worked with this company for many years and have never been disappointed. These guys are always friendly, professional and do excellent work. Bathroom fixtures are working perfectly and no more gassy odors!

They are really good and I always recommend them to other people.

I overall recommend this company. The guy who worked on the plumbing was very nice and did a great job keeping me informed of what was going on. The only downfall is when they forgot to pass on the information to complete the plumbing job on Monday the problem just got worse and I ended up having to call them 3 weeks later. That's when I discovered they never finished the job they had started because of a communication gap on their side. But again, other than that they kept me extremely informed and did a great job. They were also very honest with the problem and potential ideas of fixes. I recommend them and would use them again.
