I liked their professionalism, the price, the availability to get the job done, and the quality of work. They cleaned up, and the overall job was what I expected and appreciated. I am considering them for siding because they do a couple different things for home improvement.

Universal Windows Akron is an extremely professional window dealer.  Joe Pianecki is knowledgeable about his product and helpful when it came to choosing windows for our Century old home. He is personable and friendly.   The installers were skilled and knew exactly what they were doing. They cleaned up the work site and were professional.  I would buy windows from Universal Windows Akron again. 

It was free, they were fine, they were right on time, professional, but they were further away from us.  I give them high ratings and may use them in the future if needed.

They were number one!  They really did a good job, and didn't leave any mess.  The quality of the work was fantastic.  They were very professional, and I would recommend them highly.

I am quite pleased with their work. The foreman of the crew Nick was fabulous. He will do anything for us and work with us in any special things we need. The quality of their work was very good. They were responsive. We had weather problems otherwise they were here when they were needed to be and they stayed till they got the work done that day. We had weather delay them coming out in the morning when they should have been here. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They did a wonderful job. They did everything they could to make us happy.  We have a security system and they knew a couple of the windows needed to be rerouted.  They took care of that.  They had a little problem with the patio door but they also took care of that.   They were very nice.

Our windows were terrible, they were drafty and even the screens were nailed into the siding of our house by the previous owners! The estimation process was easy, he came out and explained the company background, how the windows are made and what makes the quality so great. I couldn't believe they were able to replace all 14 windows and door in just one morning.  They were so efficient!!  We love our windows!!!10,000

We got them off from Angies List and they were very very good. They did an excellent job, excellent price and excellent follow-up. We’ve got only the front side done as we had got the back side done 10 years ago. Our house is a 100 years old.

We had an amazing experience with them.  They had great customer service from start to finish (including follow-up).  They made sure that we were satisfied with the quality of the windows and the customer service that they provided.  They have an amazing staff!

No complaints. 

Arrived on time on day of installation.  Cleaned up after they were finished.  Very impressive.

The lead builder was fantastic. He really went above and beyond.

The salesperson gave an estimate in the spring  on the 4 replacement windows at $2,400 which was way more than I was willing to spend for a rental property.  When I told him I was also interested in a replacement door for my primary residence, he said he would drop the windows down to $1,200 if I order the door at the same time.  I felt that was resonable but was going to wait until the fall to have the work done and was going to get a couple more estimates. He was polite and gave me his card to contact him when I made a decision.   I contacted him late August and we drew up the paperwork.  He said it would take 6-8 wks to get the door and windows, which was accurate as they came in 8 wks to do the install.  They no longer carried the sidelites that I ordered, so I had to go with my second choice which was fine.

The install guys were very polite  and professional.  The window intall was performed perfectly.  However the glass for the replacement door and sidelites was not what I ordered.  They came with clear glass instead of the obscure glass that I ordered.  They immediately put an order in for replacement glass which they said would take 2-3 wks to get.  It took 4 wks before they came to replace them.  Once again the service person was polite, professional and did a great job.  He also fixed a problem we had with the deadbolt not latching.  He made an adjustment and it now works as it should.

The entire team of employee's  were  easy to work with and prompt on correcting any issues I had.  The windows and door are sturdy and look good.  The only thing I don't care for are the little nail holes in the fiberglass door. They look like the finish is sort of shattered around the holes.

I was impressed with the door.  They did a really nice job with it.  I was really impressed by his work.  I would recommend them.  They did a great job for me.  He came out when he said he would and called the day of the installation.

The installation went very well but shortly thereafter we had problems with the locks in the rear door. Universal replaced the locks but after a week or so we could not lock the door (lower lock). This time they were not as responsive but after talking to one of the owners, the all the locks were replaced. They are currently working fine.

They were very responsive when I called to schedule an estimate.  They gave a good presentation on their product, and obviously believe in what they sell.  I will admit, the sales was a little bit high pressure which I dislike; but it is what it is.

They came out to measure and this was done quickly and at my convenience (I had to take time off to be there, but I had several things going on that day, so I just lumped them all together).

The installation occurred while I was at work - even the plumber who was there commented on the quality and appearance of the windows.

About the only down side was after the windows were installed, they were not cleaned.  The stickers were left on, and there were smudges on the windows.  I even mentioned this in a note I left for the installers for when they came the second day to finish up.  This would have been a nice touch, and I had just assumed would be done.

Now I wait and see if the new windows work as promised.

It went wonderful. I was very pleased. I have had them come back three times for a replacement they gave me no problems when coming back out.

I would like to send a note of commendation for the work of the siding crew lead by Tracy Helman. Recently, Tracy, Matt and Rick completed work on our home in Independence OH. These gentlemen were polite, friendly, open to suggestion and most importantly did a very professional job! We are very pleased with the result and would highly recommend Tracy's crew for any installation!  Overall, our engagement with Universal Windows staff, from Chad Helman to Frank (the gutter guy) has been excellent. Chad gave us the kind of sales and service that I have come to expect from a reputable vendor: completely professional and immediately responsive to our issues and requests. Frank was not just efficient, but found ways to accomplish areas of need on the gutter system that we had not foreseen! We are happy to have discovered that our research of this company proved to be true. Universal Windows Direct provided the kind of professional workmanship and friendly staff that is often rare in this business!  It is because of Tracy and Chad Helman (as well as Matt, Rick and Frank) that we will be recommending this company to all of our friends and neighbors who might be considering a vinyl siding replacement.

The job went pretty well. They did a good job installing everything. They had a deal they were offering on installation too, but because we had a good deal already, they did not offer the deal on installation. One of our windows broke when it was shipping to them so we had to wait a little longer for that, but that was ok and we did not mind. They hauled off the old windows. They did a really nice job cleaning up after the work. The price was good for the value. They got all the windows in in one day, except for the one window which was broken.

The crew they sent out was very good. They cleaned up everything and removed the old windows. They did it all in one day.

We had our windows measured, ordered them and a few weeks later they were installed. It took only 2 days and only a few hours each day because Mark worked very fast. The doors open easily and close tightly as do the windows. I am very happy with the company. Thank you.

They did a good job. The only bad thing is there was a slight error in ordering the windows. When I mentioned this they took care of it and included an additional window at no additional cost. We ended up being very happy with them and would use them again. The windows look fantastic.

We are happy with the product. The installations performed look good. We think we got a quality product at a fair price. However, we experienced several problems with the service. The installers were about 90 minutes late showing up. Therefore we were not able to be home when they arrived, but we provided access to the house. After their arrival but before we returned home, they removed a window that was not to be replaced. They realized their mistake (since they didn't have a window that size in their truck) and reinstalled it, but never told us. We discovered it two days later due to the poor quality of the re-installation. When we confronted our sales rep, he checked and confirmed this mistake with the installers. The sales rep has offered verbally to replace that window or provide a credit to us for a future installation. We chose the credit, but have asked them to provide a written offer. We have not heard back from them in two weeks. I hope to be able to report a resolution to this claim.
