Description of Work: I bought a house that was waterproofed with this company two years prior. The basement was also finished at the time of purchase. That, plus, the the fact that it was waterproofed from the exterior, was a huge selling point. In my first year of owning the house, the paneling started buckling due to moisture and the tiles starting popping off near the walls. I removed the panelling (goodbye finished basement) only to find that the walls were leaking, as evidenced by mold and efflorescence. I called the company around October, as I had the original receipt and the owner came out to inspect. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY by a company owner. He tried to tell both my husband and I that there was no problem and that they did an appropriate job. According to him "No water = no problem". He stated that unless there was standing water in my basement, he would not do anything. All the mold on the walls and all the loss of my finished basement did not matter to him. Why bother spending thousands of dollars to company that cannot and will not guarantee a basement that is waterproofed enough to finish on the interior. BUYER BEWARE. They do not stand by their work!

I Called for an estimate because of water in basement of addition to house. He said the basement walls had to be waterproofed and gave a verbal estimate of $3,000. He dug a trench around the addition, then continued the trench along the entire wall that butted against the driveway, cutting up the driveway. He then prepared to go the rest of the way around the house when I stopped him. He did something to the walls and filled the trench with gravel. I told him I did not want the driveway patched up and wanted the blocks that were cut up replaced. He said that would be another $10,000. I agreed. He then said replacing he concrete would have to wait for warmer weather, but he wanted to be paid in full. I gave him a check for $13,000. The next day he gave me an invoice stating the work done and that it did not cover replacing cement damaged by their operations. This was done at 13028 Willard Ave. Garfield Heights, OH 44125 owned by Karen Styler. I am submitting this because she does not have a computer.

THEY ARRIVED WITH AN EMPTY WATER TANK, HOOKED UP TO OUR WATER, AND SPENT 1 1/2 HOURS FILLING THEIR WATER TANK WITH OUR WATER, AND CHARGED US THEIR FULL HOURLY RATE FOR FILLING UP THEIR TANK. AFTER ATTEMPTING TO UNCLOG THE WINDOW WELL DRAIN IN QUESTION, THEY TOLD US THAT THEY HAD TO DIG OUT ALL THE FOUNDATION. THEY STARTED TO DO SO, AND DUG DOWN ABOUT 8 FEET ALONG A 116 FOOT SECTION OF THE FOUNDATION, BUT WERE SO UNPROFESSIONAL THAT WE STOPPED THEM. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US $1700 FOR THE WORK THAT THEY HAD DONE. WE CALLED IN THE SHAKER HOUSING INSPECTOR, WHO TOLD US THAT THE WORK ALPHONSO AND SON HAD DONE WAS UNNECESSARY. ANOTHER COMPANY LATER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND FIXED IT FOR $600. WE FEEL ALPHONSE AND SON IS A DISHONEST OPERATION.
Description of Work: THEY WERE TO HAVE CLEANED OUT A PARTICULAR STOPPED-UP WINDOW WELL DRAIN.
