Smylie One Heating Cooling & Plumbing

Smylie One started on the day they scheduled me. It took three days and they were prompt and very professional in every way. I am very pleased. They sealed all the runs, replaced and tightened parts, and made all adjustments necessary to make the furnaces work efficiently.

Workers called and informed me that they were running behind. They were just a tad behind. The Heating/Ac crew started working on replaceing the furnance. the plumbing crew began replacing the water lines. Both crews completed the task at hand in one day--the heating/ac crew finsihed first. The plumbing crew had to work a little longer as all the water lines were removed. The water had been turned off, so the plumbing crew returned and checked for leaks, lit the hot water tank, after the water was turned on. My husband and I are very pleased with the quality of work and the price. I would definitely recommend Symlie One and I plan on using them in the spring to reconnect the AC.

As indicated above, the technician replaced the capacitor and added some freon. The A/C unit, which was installed in 1993, performed well for the rest of the summer. $400 is a lot cheaper than a new A/C unit...so hopefully this repair will last a couple years

Everything went fabulous. Our other one had broken during the cold spell, they came out and got the new unit and installed everything within days and didn't charge me a dime until the job was complete. I would definitely recommend him. He did great work.

When it happened again we called them out and they came in and told us that we had to replace our whole furnace. We had a maintenance agreement in the past. We then had a second opinion that told us it was fine and they just had to clean a contact. The price went from $6000 for a whole new furnace to the other company coming in and fixing it for less than a couple hundred. I don?t think the quality was there either. They did come once on a weekend which we appreciate.

They have been exceptionally reliable and honest people. We really appreciate them. They have been really good. I have had a lot of unhappy experience since I got here with people that I thought were shady so it was a real comfort to meet honest reliable competent people from Smiley.

They are wonderful people. They do very nice work. I would have them in my home any time. They come and they do what they say. They do perfect work.

They did a very nice job. We had them take apart our air cleaner, soak the cells and replaced the humidifier filter. He didn?t rush through and he took his time. Something from the water had blocked up the lines to our humidifier. He took the time to clean it out and opened up the lines. I would say he did an excellent job for us. He went above and beyond the call of duty. The price was fair.

Was obviously impressed by Smylie because we chose them - had work done immediately rather than postponing to end of the year because (1) our a/c needed to be replaced too (we hardly ever use it but figured we could reap the benefits this summer and (2) because of special mfgr discounts extended now. Never felt pressured by the salesperson (Marty) who spent a lot of time explaining all the options. The owner (Gary) came out to personally review the air flow requirements of our house and address concerns over the evenness of heat & a/c between floors (without having to spend huge $ on zoning). But true commendations must go to the installers (Mark & Mike). At our request, they made special trips out and around our house (up a fairly steep hill) to remove the old equipment and not track mud/dirt etc through the house, and they must have made at least 60 trips up and down over the 2 days, without complaint. They made so little noise I hardly knew they were here, and they were most kind to our aging dog who wasn't always friendly. I have already recommended Smylie to a friend (to have them check out their a/c and quote a solution for them as they were NOT happy with price quotes obtained so far). I think Smylie is a "hidden gem" and am glad I found them via Angie's list as I only recently joined. I figure the $ saved paid for my membership.

The experience was pretty good. I've used them in the past and sometimes I've had to call them a couple of times to get them to come out. When they come, they usually do good work, but getting them out sometimes has been a little bit troublesome. They do quality work and their price is good. When they do come, they are here when they say they will be.

We are very happy with them. They stuck to their quote, they came on time, they cleaned up, and they did what they said they would do. They worked within our time frame and budget.

Didn t have a chance to compare prices but they were a good price. They were very responsive. They came out and worked right away. They were very professional. They did a wonderful job. They were outstanding. They showed up when they said they would. I will keep using them, actually I have contract with them currently.

Smylie came up with the best solution and they were able to fix it quickly. They were exceptionally friendly and very concerned about their cleanliness in my house. I would highly recommend them.

Gary Rosen came to do an estimate, and explained what work would be done. He answered all our questions and recommended two furnaces that met our needs. We chose the two stage, and we have been happy with it, because most of the time it is quieter than our old furnace. Jason and Stan arrived on time for installation,and both were very polite and professional. The furnace was working when they left that day, even though they had to come back the next morning because some sheet metal had to be fabricated. The job was completed that morning, and we are very satisfied with the way it went.

I have been using their services for about three years. I like that they provide good service and always do a good job. They also provide excellent advice. I cam pretty much get an appointment whenever I want to.

His price was reasonable, much less than I was expecting. He was very informative about the actual furnace. He was very easy to work with and pleasant.

Called and received an appointment within two days. The representative arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. Based on past tune ups which I have observed this was so much more throughly then any I have ever seen in the past.

Gary Rosen was a very nice sales rep/owner. I received a total of 4 quotations. Three were fairly similar, but Smylie was the least expensive. The installation contractors did a great job of getting the air conditioning unit installed quickly the 1st day. It was one of the hottest days of the year in July. The contractors were very responsive, nice, and professional. The furnace is working real well, and using much less gas than before. The air conditioner is not adequate for the 2nd floor, but Gary stated that probably would be the case.

They did a good job. As always. I've used them for about a year and a half.

I called close to 8 pm. Operator willingly and easily put me through to owner. I described problem of 1/2" of water on floor next to my furnace. He sent a tech who arrived about 8:40 pm. Cost was $75.00 because I have a "service plan" with the company. If I didn't, it would have cost $233.00.

Price was the best of three bids. One of them tried to hide a service charge, and the other neglected the cost of the water condenser pump. The service guy was excellent, clean, and neat. They got rid of the 50 year old furnace, and swept the whole area. Returned phone calls immediately-- instant response.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A LESS COSTLY PROBLEM TO FIX & TRIED UNSUCCESSFULLY TO FIND THE APPROPRIATE PARTS, WERE PATIENT IN EXPLAINING THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AVAIL PROD OPTIONS, COMING BY TWICE TO REVIEW & ANSWER QUESTIONS & ENSURING THAT WE WERE COMFORTABLE WITH PURCHASE DECISION. PRICE EXCELLENT. ONCE AGREED TO MOVE FORWARD WORK WAS EFFICIENTLY SCHEDULED & COMPLETED. INSTALLERS WERE POLITE, CONSIDERATE & INFORMATIVE. CO STRESSES SERVICE & ATTENTIVENESS, THE DIFFERENTIATORS BETWEEN THEIR COMPANY & COMPETITION; HAVING EXPERIENCED OTHER VENDORS, CERTAINLY BELIEVE THEM! WE'RE STAYING WITH THIS CO!! EXPERIENCE WAS UNIFORMLY EXCELLENT. RICK SUGGESTED AN APPROACH TO PERFORMING WORK THAT DECREASED COST SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN INITIAL EST. WORK SCHEDULED WITH TIME DEMANDS, & PERFORMED WITH GREAT CONSIDERATION FOR NEATNESS & CLEANLINESS. RICK CALLED AFTER THE WORK COMPLETED JUST TO FOLLOW UP REGARDING SATISFACTION. STEVE WAS ABLE TO COME UP WITH A DESIGN FOR THE A/C THAT DID OUR WHOLE HOUSE FOR A LITTLE OVER HALF THE PRICE OF THE OTHER CONTRACTORS. HE WAS VERY NEAT & RESPONSIVE TO OUR REQUESTS. THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE INSTALLATION WHICH RESULTED IN WATER LEAKING DOWN THROUGH THE 2ND FLOOR TO THE 1ST FLOOR. I AM NOT SURE OF THE CAUSE, BUT IT APPEARED TO BE A PROBLEM WITH A PART WHICH WAS INSTALLED. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE CREATIVENESS OF HIS THINKING THAT I ASKED HIM TO COME BACK & WORK ON SOME PROBLEMS WITH MY HEATING SYSTEM. MY WIFE WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THE IDEA, BUT THE FACT IS THAT HE HAS COME UP WITH SOME SOLUTIONS, YET TO BE IMPLEMENTED, WHICH WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD FOR OVER SIX YEARS. MORE WHEN THE JOB IS FINISHED.

IT'S A NEW HOME & THEY SPENT TIME SHOWING ME THE NEW FURNACE SYSTEM.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE. FROM THE MEETING TO GET AN ESTIMATE TO THE FINAL WALK-THROUGH. STEVE SMYLIE AND HIS ASSOCIATES WERE FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. WE WANTED TO MAXIMIZE THE SPACE IN THE ROOM AND THEY CAME UP WITH AN ARRANGEMENT FOR THE FURNACE THAT KEPT THE INTRUSION SMALL, BUT STAYED WITHIN OUR BUDGET.
