The guys showed up when they were supposed to, they were quick and clean, the installation looks like good quality and included a new shutoff valve, and one of the technicians showed me the work and the features of the tank. I'd recommend them.
Description of Work: My hot water tank ruptured New Year's Eve. I called several plumbers the next morning and Killeen was one of two that got back to me quickly. Their price was comparable to the other place, they offered a good brand tank (Bradford-White) and they're local to me. So, they got the business.

They are on Angie’s List and that’s where I learnt about them. They did an A-job. I called three different places and I liked Killeen Plumbing and their price the best. I thought that the plumber was well informed. He talked me through some of the considerations I had in terms of venting and replacing the plumbing parts coming into the hot water heater. He made it convenient for me and I guess there were three pieces. It cost me about $700 for their services.
Description of Work: Killeen Plumbing replaced a hot water heater for me in September of 2011.

They came out two different times. The sink was $180 and the sump pump was $225. Everything was positive. They knew what they were doing and they fixed it. They were right about the leak. I thought it was totally something different. They were fast. Their prices were very fair. They came right out; they were really quick. I would absolutely use them again and I would recommend them to anybody.
Description of Work: I used Killeen Plumbing to put in a new sump pump. They fixed a leak in a sink and put in a new faucet.

Terrible. A plumber named John came to our house. The city engineer's assistant was also present due to the basement flooding we've been having and he wanted to be here for the camera work to see what this plumber found. We wanted to be sure before the front sanitary line was re-excavated that the problem was not in the inside lines, and to pinpoint exactly where the water intrusion was in the sanitary line. While this plumber was using his camera on the lines I asked him and he said he was successful in getting inside my basement 33' (this was amazing to us as the County Sanitary Engineering Dept & 2 other companies were unsuccessful & could not get past app 4 feet). He also told us he believed he had found the cross connection. The assistant to the City engineer asked him at that point if he could give him a copy of this camera work and he said no, that his camera did not have that capability. The assistant engineer then asked if he could at least have the measurements and he told him yes. He did not put any measurements on the invoice he filled out but said all the information needed would be on the estimate I would receive in two weeks. This plumber said we needed another area excavated in front of the picture window but before having it done wanted to use another detector on it to confirm it was the correct spot. I also asked him for a separate estimate just in case the company that originally did the excavation on the outside sanitary line would not be doing this work and he said okay. I have never heard back from this company (it's been over a month and I've left 3 messages). They keep telling me Quinn, the owner, is not available and he's the one I need to talk to. In the meantime, based on the fact this plumber said the inside sanitary line was fine, we recently had the sanitary line re-excavated from the house out 10' . To my horror after this work was completed and a garden hose was run at ground level on the sanitary line near the house I had the same heavy water intrusion into the sanitary line. Obviously this plumber was wrong! The same assistant engineer witnessed this water intrusion too. This plumber even wrote on the invoice "water from footer draining to sanitary". My footer tile was disconnected from my sanitary line in 2009 and he was told that! It is now confirmed the problem is, in fact, somewhere in the basement sanitary line. Then to rub salt in the wound our standup pipe under the utility sink had to be reinstalled as it was just set back on the floor without being properly connected after he took it out to camera. Save yourself a lot of time and money and stay away from this company. This plumber does not know what he's doing or he tried to rip us off and the owner, Quinn does not seem to care.
Description of Work: Requested a plumber to camera where water was coming in due to basement flooding before having further excavation done on the outside sanitary line which the County had confirmed there was water intrusion into. He said he had to camera all lines, not just my sanitary line which had been our main concern. He said we could have a cross connection under our house. That these were very common in a house this age. I gave approval for this work to be done.

Hello, sorry you could not wait for me to come out and solve your problem. I spoke with you originally when you called in to the office and I told you how we handle these problems and how much the camera work would cost. You then set up an appointment. On our first visit which can all be verified by GPS, you tried to get my guy to do the work on the side for less money and sent us away. You then called us back a week later and scheduled again to do the work. We then went and video inspected the lines and found out during that visit, you previously had contracted other people who were not liscensed to do work, without a permit, that did not solve your problem. John is a good plumber and said he was not comfortable coming up with the solution to your problem as you have had a number of companies before us also try to solve it. That is why I was supposed to go back so we could come up with a game plan. I do not understand why you did not schedule for me to come back out before you had more work done to properly diagnose what was going on. I am happy to fully refund your money. As for your allegations we don't know what we are doing or are trying to rip you off, you are way off base. We did not even try to charge you anything because we did not locate and identify the problem and your proposal was waiting on me returning to diagnose. I am usually available between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning but the best way to get a hold of me is through my E-mail at qkilleen@gmail.com. I still work in the field with the guys and am I seldom in the office. Have a good day.

Quinn came to my house on 11/22/11 for an estimate. We spoke on what I wanted done and was told I would have a estimate by the end of the day. 3 weeks later and 3 phone calls later..... nothing. I spoke with a women each time I called and she said Qiunn would call me back with the estimate by the end of the next bussiness day.

They were here in less than two hours after I called. They agreed on the problem, but did not have the necessary parts....they were gone for about 15 minutes to go to a local supply house....installed the new valves, hooked up our washer and cleaned up and were done. They were very professional and nice young men. The price was VERY fair and I will call them again in a heartbeat if I ever need a plumber again.
Description of Work: We live in a 160 year old house and nothing is ever simple!! This morning my wife told me the washer was leaking. I thought it was a hose and purchased new hoses (they were old and brittle) and replaced them. The valves coming out of the wall were actually leaking...I looked on Angies list and called Killeen Plumbing because they were highly rated.

I found Killeen on Angie's List and thought, 'why not at least call for an estimate.' I called earlier in the week and they were able to schedule me just a couple of days later. The plumber, Chad, that came was prompt, polite, friendly, and honest. I showed him the pipes in the house that needed fixing, and he estimated the time of completion and labor/part costs for each problem. After hearing the quotes, I found their pricing incredibly reasonable and decided to let them fix my pipes that day. I then discussed what was most important to fix in the time we had that day, and what didn't need to be fixed immediately should we run out of time. Well, I had to leave at a specific time that afternoon and he got everything done (both the critical and non-critical issues), with time to spare! He started at 11am and was done by 3pm, and the tasks he had to do were pretty big, as installing drains and sinks are not quick things. Chad was able to fix everything that previous men had messed up in my house and the price was only a little bit more than what the other, less skilled men had charged me - but it was actually done right! I couldn't be happier with the results and I would definitely use Killeen Plumbing again in the future.
Description of Work: It was actually $280 in labor and $135 for materials (I bought a new garbage disposal through them). I had 10% off of labor, so Angie's List saved me $31. Leaky pipes were fixed (or "snugged" as the plumber called it), utility tub drain was installed, garbage disposal was installed, some kitchen sink piping was re-installed, and a bathroom sink pipe was re-installed.

This flood happened in the evening. They arrived the next morning, on time, and were professional, efficient, and courteous. They explained everything and kept me informed as to what they needed to do. They were very quick! And they didn't leave a mess. The price was fair and reasonable. I was expecting the worse and got the best result possible. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Sanitary sewer line was plugged, resulting in a flood after a shower.. They tried snaking from the clean-out near the sidewalk but the plugged line branched off, so they pulled the toilet and sent a cutter through that way and found that tree roots had grown into the pipe. They sent the cutter through again until they were satisfied the line was clean. They put a new wax seal on the toilet (the old one was shot), fixed a leak I didn't know existed between the tank and the base (I thought it was a slow leak from the waterline), installed a shut-off valve I asked for, and made sure everything was in working order with no leaks.

Randy came out for the estimate. He was friendly, personable, and professional. He explained the options and described the pros and cons of each one. The estimate was competitive with the others, but the consistent Angies list ratings and reviews were the deciding factor. While the job was simple, it was labor intensive, and Randy's estimate turned out to be very accurate. The kitchen gas line required the pipe to be passed through several floor joists to reach the area beneath the kitchen. In addition, a hole needed to be cut in a finished basement ceiling. Randy did the minimum cutting necessary to complete the job. The other plumber who assisted Randy was also friendly and professional. The second gas line was easier to install, and Randy finished it quickly. Both men cleaned up after their work was done, and were careful not to stain the upstairs carpet when walking through the house, due to the steady rain. I was very satisfied with their work, and I will use Killeen plumbing again.
Description of Work: The plumbers installed two gas lines. One line to the kitchen for a gas range, the second line to a wall mounted gas heater.

We called Killeen Plumbing on Sunday regarding our broken garbage disposal. They set us up for a service call on Wednesday morning at 0900. They gave us an estimate over the phone regarding what the charges would likely be. Randy, the plumber showed up at 0855, he was friendly and personable. He investigated the problem and was able to show me that there was a hole in our existing disposal. He was able to replace the disposal quickly. The invoice was the same as what we were quoted. A+++!!!

I called Killeen Plumbing after review on Angie's List. They scheduled an appointment for the next day between 10:00 and noon. Ron the plumber arrived a little after 10:00 and went right to work. He explained the cost up front and replaced the supply line to the hot water. He offered to replace the cold water supply line also since he did not think the quality of the old supply line was very good. Each supply line only cost $5 each. He said I had him for the hour and wanted to know if there was anything else he could do. I mentioned the flush in my toilet would stick and he repaired that also. Cost was much less then expected. Service was outstanding. Good job Killeen Plumbing.

The plumber arrived exactly on time. He looked over several projects, discussed the time and costs for labor and materials for each one, and helped me prioritize. When the job was completed, costs were in line with what was promised. Everything works great. Work area was cleaned, new parts were described, etc. Will call this company again next time, and recommend them.

After trying to fix the basement drain on my own I discovered I needed help so called these people. They came out when expected, checked things out and gave me an estimate. I agreed and they began work. They did an excellent job which is why I called them again when the basement drain pipes leaked. They gave an estimate and fixed the pipes right away. I will be having them come back to give an estimate and replace the rest of the copper pipes that we have.
Description of Work: We have had this company out on two different occasions, one which included cutting tree roots out of the basement drain and leaky drain pipes. Two workers arrived on time. One was the lead plumber, one an apprentice. Work was completed quickly, including a trip to a local hardware store for a part that they needed. Pleasant, polite.
Description of Work: Killeen Plumbing identified a gas leak in the line leading to the post light in the front yard. They replaced a connecting nut, tested for a tight seal and relit the gas light. Also installed a new battery for the back-up sump pump. Checked a toilet that had an intermittent leak and identified two problems -- needed a new seal and found a connection in the discharge pipe that was leaking. Replaced the seal, leveled the toilet (which was not done by the original installer) and installed a new connection piece.

We returned from vacation on Saturday and immediately used the bathroom. In the process of unloading and unpacking I went into the basement bathroom and discovered water that leaked from the first floor toilet. We had to wait until Monday to call Kileen Plumbing. We have used them twice in the past and could not be more pleased with them from first call to completion. They could not respond until Tuesday due to the heavy rains and flooding that was overwhelming them. Randy responded and immediately noticed that the floor appeared to have sunk a little, and he confirmed this inspecting from the basement bathroom. He described in detail what had to be done but he would need to come back with a helper to assit in reinforcing the floor with plywood and 2x4's. He made sure we had another working toilet since it may be a few days before he could come back . Due to the heavy rains and flooding that was in the area earlier in the week, and the availability of a helper, they could not come back until the following week. We did not mind using the basement bathroom, the frequent trips up and down the stairs after a vacation was a plus. On Tuesday Randy and his helper Cory responded and began their work. They used footies to cover their work boots as they came into the house and removed them when they went out to the truck. They removed the toilet and used plywood around the toilet drain pipe, pulling the sunked floor up with several screws. This was reiforced and supported by 2x4's. We later learned that Randy supplied the lumber from leftovers he had at his home. A new wax seal was placed and the toilet reseated and was operating normally. Randy explained what was done and showed us how they reinforced the floor. We joked that if there was a tornado, we would be safe hiding in the toilet, it was not going to go anywhere. We have found every worker from Killeen Plumbing to be professional, courteous and personable. We will always use Killeen Plumbing for all our plumbing needs. Robet and Sharon Kaiser

My scheduling of both crews was fortuitous - when the sump guys were running the new sump through its paces, they ran into some drainage problems, and the camera guy was able to assist in figuring out what the problem was - basically, the line from the sump from the sewer had been broken, obviously for quite some time, which mean the water from the sump was recycling back into itself. They were able to get this repaired as well, snaked out the sewer line which has a lot of tree growth along it, and as a bonus, fixed the pressure release on our water heater. Given that our new pump is a 1/2 hp, with a 7-year warranty, and they had to install about 30 feet of piping to power the backup pump, I'm quite pleased with their work, their courtesy, and their prices - absolutely will call again, and have been referring anyone who will listen!
Description of Work: They replaced the sump pump and installed a new water-powered backup pump. In addition, I scheduled another crew the same day to come out and camera and clean the sewer lines.
