When new part arrived, repairman returned and replaced faulty part. Repair man was informative, polite and professional. Very satisfied with this company and if needed in the future , will utilize their services again.

+ 3 moreOur basement has been as dry as a desert since Killeen did his work. I cannot recommend this group highly enough. From the office staff, to the amazing guys he has doing the work, this job was done well. Killeen's laborers worked extremely hard 10 to 12 hour days in order to complete the job on time. They were knowledgeable, polite, informative and extremely competent. We would definitely use Killeen again. I would recommend them to family or friends without reservation. One of the absolute best home repair service provisions I have ever experienced!
Description of Work: Our basement has had problems for a long time. At least once or twice a year, after a very heavy rainfall or a major snow melt, our basement floor would become extremely wet. The carpeting would be soaked in the rec area and there would be puddles in front of the washer and dryer. With the intense rainfall of 2011 - 2012, our basement was wet most of the time and was no longer tolerable. We tried a few water proofing techniques on our own i.e. grading, more powerful sump pump and other approaches. None worked. Finally we called a number of plumbers for estimates. We met with Quinn Killeen and really liked what he had to say. He didn't pull punches, but instead gave us a number of plans as well as the reasoning as to why they would be worth pursuing in a certain order. Plans A and B were to trace the line to the storm sewer and make sure it was clean. Plan B was to run a snake through the drainage tile around the house to determine that water was draining as it needed to be. If either of these situations turned out to be the primary problem, we could avoid more expensive alternatives. We appreciated that Quinn was taking the cheaper approaches before jumping straight ahead into the bigger money remedies. It turned out that there were problems and complications in both of those areas. Ultimately we needed to have a major excavation on two walls of our home and to expose the walls all the way down to the footers. Killeen completely restructured our storm sewer system (at no cost to us other than materials). New footer pipes were installed and all the other steps that needed to finish the job to the highest professional standards were performed.

+ -1 moreThe first plumbing service is a well advertised company in the Cleveland area. After spending several hours at our home, they informed us the problem was due to blockage somewhere outside our house. They provided an estimate to excavate and install a new clean out for close to $2,000. After leaving, the supervisor called my husband to say he spoke with their excavation expert and it would only be half of the cost qouted. The next day, I contacted Killeen plumbing in Bay Village for a 2nd opinion and Quinn Killeen came out the same afternoon. I explained the entire story to him. Within minutes of digging with a shovel, Quinn found the pipe that exits the kitchen and its existing clean out. Wow!! He removed tree roots after he snaked out the pipe. He then used a camera device to inspect the pipe. We found where the tree roots had created the problem and where the pipe buckled. Our overall experience with Killeen Plumbing was excellent. He was professional, cordial, informative, punctual, funny, and, most importantly, got the job done at a reasonable cost. I can't say enough good things about this business. I'm a skeptic, but would use Killeen Plumbing again because I believe he is a honest, hard-working person that cares about the quality of his work.
Description of Work: My husband & I had a plumbing service come out to our home in Strongsville due to water backing up into our kitchen sink from a sump pump. Ultimately it was due to tree roots that had created a problem in a pipe outside our house near our kitchen.

+ 0 moreThe entire experience was great. They (Randy and another guy) were professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. For about $90 (parts and labor), they replaced the gas line valve, replaced something behind the knob on my shower, and told me how to fix the sprayer and faucet on my kitchen sink. I couldn't be happier. They were running behind but I was told ahead of time. The women on the phone were very friendly and professional, too.
Description of Work: They replaced something behind the knob on my shower to fix the decrease in water pressure I was experiencing. They also replaced an on/off valve on a gas line in my basement that led to my gas grill. The gas company came out a month or so ago because I smelled gas at the valve and they tightened the valve which got rid of the gas leak. They told me to call a plumber when I wanted to get it fixed, so I did once I needed the water pressure fixed in my shower. I could have just had them re-grease the valve, but it was going to cost $6 to get a new valve, so I went that route instead. They also inspected my kitchen sink and sprayer to determine why it rattled when I had the water on low.

I was able to schedule an appointment for a 3 hour time period and they called me when they were on their way with an eta which I found very helpful When the staff arrived they did everything they could to mitigate the cost of the job and were very clean and friendly.
Description of Work: My toilet was leaking through the ceiling in the next floor. They were able to find out what the issue was and repair it very quickly.

I wasn't available to be present when the work was done so I left a key and they did the work, cleaned up, and locked up when they were finished. The work they did was excellent and I have no complaints. I'd use them in the future and would refer them to friends.

+ -1 moreWorking the people at Killeen Plumbing was a great experience, starting with the person on the phone who discussed my situation and continuing with the pumbers who came to my house to do the work. I has a leak in one toilet and I was not sure whether I was the existing one repaired or replaced. The women on the phone told me she would write the order as a repair but would advise the plumber to bring a toilet also. She discussed the various types of toilets and told me the price of the one in which I was interested. I also wanted to replace the hardware in my master bath, but was not sure of the style. (I had checked the big box stores but did not see anything I could use. The jacuzzi hardware would be a problem because of the way it had been installed.) She gave me the name of several plumbing supply stores and told me that I could pick out the hardware. When the supply store notified Killeen that the items were in, Killeen would call me to set up an appoinment. Which is exactly what happened. (The supply store was also very good.) The appointment was set up and the plumbers came between the hours given. They were very pleasant and professional. The work was done within a reasonable time. It was done neatly and the plumbers answered all my questions very thoroughly. Even though I thought I had resolved the problem with the jacuzzi faucet, it was still not right. But, they offered a few alternatives and the problem resolved. I will be making a few more plumbing changes in the future and will be calling Killeen again.
Description of Work: Relaced the toilet in a secondary bathroom and replaced all the hardware for the shower, jacuzzi and sink in my master bathroom.

They have been very helpful in working with the city in trying to figure out where our water goes, which is nowhere. They are not yet done, they are going to be back to work on the job some more, but the people have been very good. It's an ongoing job. They come out and do a little bit, and then we talk about what we can do from here so it's been 6 months now that we have been working on it. They are very good in responding.

water heater repair
+ -1 morewas under the inpression that the water heater was nearing 20 years old and after I couldnt get the pilot light lit, I arranged to have a new one installed becuse of how old the oriringal heater was. Randy and Robert came and looked at the heater first and asked me a few questions and Randy also pointed out that the heater was not 20 years old and was much newer. I had completely forgotten that a newer one had been installed in 2003. Randy got the water heater lit. talked to me about some of the things that could have happened. Stated I really didnt need a new water heater. Did some major cleaning of the parts and under the hot water heater. i was so appreciative of their honesty. They could have just told me I needed a new one and installed the one in their truck. Randy and Robert were both professional and personable. I have all ready told 2 of my friends what a good experience I had with this company.

Description of Work: Killeen sent a very competent plumber. He an an apprentice put in two solid hours of work and cleared the sink drain. They replumbed the drain line with proper connections and piping. In addition they snaked the bathtub drain and the basement drain. They recommended that I look for a clean-out in the basement for future snaking of the main line.

+ -1 moreI Called at 8am this morning after selecting them from nearby plumbing contractors on Angie List. Two plumbers came. In a little over one hour they installed a new Kitchen faucet, 2 new water stops and fixed the supply line leak. Tom and Nate also installed a new supply valve and flush valve disc on a toilet that had been dripping. When finished they explained that the yellow color in the toilet was dye used to test for leaks and that it would dissipate after a few flushes.
Description of Work: Stopped supply line leak under kitchen sink. Installed new faucet and soap dispenser. Fixed Float assembly in toilet.

+ 0 moreWe got quotes from several companies, and Killeen's gave the best estimate. There was no charge to have a contractor come to the house to give us an estimate. Chad, the plumber who did the job, was professional and explained what he was doing and what problems he found with our drains. When the job was done and we got the final bill, it was even lower than the estimate! It is wonderful to find an honest company who did not overcharge us I will definitely use Killeens if other plumbing issues arise.
Description of Work: We have an underground drain system in the back yard which was clogged and had to be snaked out. We had a camera run through the lines to inspect them before they were snaked. We also had some of the drainage pipes replaced.

Quinn has done numerous jobs in our home and he and his crew are always prompt in responding to requests, on time, extremely courteous and professional, always within budget, always clean up completely, and I have never had to call them back to correct anything. It is always done right the first time. He has installed toilets, deep skinks, snaked drains and cleaned roots out of our main sewer drains.
