Had major gas leak on Monday. Called around 5:30p to make appt to have new gas line installed. Was told I'd be on "the first available" and that I'd get a call when they were on the way. Tuesday @ 3:20p, I began to think maybe they had wrote my number down wrong because I hadn't heard anything. Close to 3:25p, a van pulls in. I went out and showed the guy what the gas company had left, explaining what repairs were needed. After he did the inspection & made a list of what items were needed, he asked where the nearest Home Depot was. Since it was late, he went outside & called the office to see what they wanted him to do. He came back in, said they wanted him to do the repairs that night, and gave me a high end estimate of $550 (assuming it was going to take 5 hrs). He left to go shopping @ 3:45p. He returned @ 4:40p and began painting the pipe with Rustoleum (which was required by the gas company). It was cold, so only time will tell if it sticks. I offered to help, if needed, since he was working alone. At 7p, another guy shows up to assist. I went out to check on the progress and they were using a flashlight to see. I got my work light and plugged it in so it lit up the whole back of the house. They seemed to be wrapping things up but I noticed that the new hole into the house hadn't been filled, inside or out. They finally finish after 9p and hand me the bill. I had given the initial guy the 10% off labor coupon from here earlier in the day. After the discount, the total was over $700. He said it took longer than expected, but that I saved $56 in labor because of the coupon. I noticed that he started the labor @ 3:19p (he wasn't even in the driveway then...and so much for free estimates). Makes me think I should've waited to give him the coupon. The work done was excellent. The gas company even mentioned it when they came the next day to turn the gas back on. I wasn't expecting to pay for the shopping trip (since most repair people bring misc items with them) and I thought it should've been a two man job from the get-go. I have a pet peeve about seeing people's underwear (hence the "B" for the professionalism). The guys were polite & knowledgeable though.

We ordered a new washer and dryer from a local retailer. Upon delivery, it was discovered that the gas line servicing the dryer did not have a shut-off valve at the terminal connection with the equipment. The delivery service could not install the dryer without a line upgrade and were not certified to preform this service for us. Called Killeen plumbing on Friday, the day the equipment was delivered, and they were able to send someone out the following Monday for the first appointment of the day, The plumber arrived promptly at 8 and completed our dryer set up within an hour. Great service, prompt response!

Called in the company Satruday around noon. A technician (Nate) came at 3 pm and finished the job in an hour. He successfully lighted the pilot flame of the first gas-powered water heater with a torch and ignited the main burner immediately. Then he took out the burner assembly of the second water heater (with a piezo igniter), blow out water from tubing, dry the burner with a dryer, replace the assembly back, lighted the pilot flame after many spark trials, and ignited the main burner eventually. He knew a trick not to seal the combustion chamber completely until the pilot flame ignited and the main burner flame heated up the combustion chamber.

We had a light out in front of the house that we wanted disconnected for removal. He was on time, courteous, worked quickly. Very professional.

Randall came early and spent over an hour snaking out the drains so that the sink water did not flow into the bathtub. He was professional and respectful of our property. Before entering the kitchen, he put on booties to protect our hardwood floor and carpeting. After he finished, he cleaned up and left the work site clearner than it was when he started. We were very pleased and would use this company again. Our daughter is also a member of Angie's List and told us about Killeen Plumbing.

The Killeen guys snaked the lines, identified and fixed the problem, and cleaned up after themselves. The were professional and friendly from beginning to end.

Killeen offered a free estimate but I was going to have the work done regardless. Person who came over was very courteous and helpful - he did the job and was done within 30 minutes. Everything was cleaned up and done and paid for quickly. A+ and most likely one of the best prices in town.

"We live in a historic home and the water lines have been around for over 100 years. We were having more and more problems with water pressure. We couldn't take a shower and flush the toilet or wash dishes at the same time. Good luck if we ran water upstairs when someone ran it on the first floor, let alone wash clothes. We had heard about companies that had equipment to push through water lines without disturbing the lawn and garden. We started on an extensive search. We spoke with contractors and subcontractors that either didn't have a clue or insisted on trenching up the yard. We even spoke with contractors that didn't want to bother to give us a quote. When pressed for a quote one said, "$10,000 dollars" on the phone. What a waste. Then a miracle happened! It came to us through Killeen Plumbing. We didn't want to start the project until fall, just in case they were unable to push the line through. We didn't need to worry. Everything went off without a hitch! The project lasted only two days, utilizing two workers. They were polite, on time and very knowledgeable. They ran into a large metal object underground the first day, forcing them to place the line from a different point. They asked permission and then proceeded to push the water line through in a different location. They needed to use fifteen more feet of water line and did not charge additionally. The workers communicated with us every step of the way. While they used large trenching equipment, a little lump of dirt on the tree lawn was all that remained after the project. We were thrilled that we did not have the labor and financial issues of replacing grass, plants and flowers. We have great water pressure and now run everything at the same time without problems! We would recommend Killeen Plumbing for any project related to the challenges of owning a historic home.

We have used Killeen Plumbing multiple times. We have an older home. They are excellent. Each plumber has been polite, punctual, and done great work. They have fixed leaky pipes, running toilets, and bathroom drains- for a reasonable price- even for emergencies. We recommend them to all of our friends and will continue to use them in the future. I called in the morning and they were able to get to the house by 12:30. I called to have them find the source of a drip occuring in the basement ceiling near a light. They found it was from a loose shut off valve. They corrected the problem and while they were there I had them remove an unneccesary pipe and cap it off. They were professional and the work was done quickly and cleanly.

Toilet was leaking and they came the next morning after we called. They replaced the seal and stabilized the toilet which was the cause of the break in the seal. They also took care of tank mechanics which was causing the water to run extended and was noisy. A couple of weeks later we needed our water heater replaced. I called them the evening before and they made time to come early the next morning to replace it. They were on time, professional and courteous. I thought the cost was appropriate.

Randy was very professional, extremely effient & very concious of keeping every thing clean & wiped up.Always explained what & why he was doing some thing & answered all my questions.Basically told me, based on past history of my mother-in-law living in house alone, that all the problems were probably caused by low water flow. A condition caused by single elderly, wanting to save water, just don't flush, run water or take baths /showers enoughs to clear sewer pipes well enough & eventually a clog will develop.I don't know what the going rate to snake out a sewer line is, but I paid $160 (with Angie's discount) for 2 hours time & basically got 3 lines cleared. I'm very happy & will use Killeen's again.

This company is absolutely the best. I called at about 3:15 and told them I needed the main valve in my home replaced.The serviceman's name was Chad and he was excellent, friendly, and professional.He got right to work and replaced the valves in a timely manner. The ladies on the phone when I called were really great and helpful also,getting someone out to my house so quickly. I already have told two different people about my expierence with this compamy. Randy explained the rates for snaking, explained what he was going to do, and went to work. Fortunately there was a cleanout in the yard near the kitchen. He ran the snake in and about 15 feet in hit what was probably a large clog of grease we inherited from the previous owner. The water level in the cleanout immediately dropped. I ran the water in the sink as he continued to sed the snake out to 100 feet and the sink continued to drain well. While he was snaking we decided to try the slow bathroom by running the water in all the fixtures. Apparently the clog that was cleared near the kitchen was also causing the bathroom problem. Everything was draining very well. Randy was very professional and explained what he was doing. I don't like repairmen who won't talk and explain what is going on. He was also fun to talk with. While the snake was running, we shared home renovation horror stories and had a few laughs but he was still careful and attentive to what he was doing. They were at our house for just about an hour. I will definitely call Killeen again if I have plumbing problems and will recommend them to friends and family.

I had called four other plumbing companies that either did not return my phone calls or did so a day later. So to say the least -it was quite frustrating to locate a plumber that was even willing to speak to you. I called Killeen Plumbing during the evening expecting to leave a phone message on their answering machine. I was pleasantly surprised that a live person actually took my phone call as late as 8pm. After explaining the problem, the staff person seemed to know exactly what the problem was. She advised she could have someone out the following morning. They arrived with a pipe camera and were able to locate the problem which turned out to be just as the office staffperson had surmised. They even showed us all the roots they had cleaned out. I thought the price was quite reasonable and they provided prompt , professional ,and courteous service. I would not hesitate to call on them again for future jobs

We had a kitchen sink back up on a Friday night. We called them at 8am on Saturday and they came out around noon the same day. They snaked the kitchen drain to remove the clog. This is the second time we used them and they are EXCELLENT. From the time you make the phone call they take down your problem and tell you the window of time they will be at your home and who will be at your home. They call prior to the arrival to tell you the person is on their way. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!

I was very pleased with them, I'm sure I got them off of Angie's List. I'm going to use them again for more work with future bathroom remodeling. They usually don't come out this far because I'm on the East side but I called them back and they agreed to come out. I was pleased with the work. I called another company but the guy was going on vacation and he told me the amount I should be paying and the price with Killeen was exactly in that range. I told them I really needed it done so they fit me in. They talked to my significant other and they gave us their information and then they did the work.

The gentlemen arrived promply and were very courteous. They performed all work in a timely and professional manner. As this job was costed out hourly, I appreciated their efficiency and expedience. One of the best experiences that I have had with a contracted service.

I can't remember the price but for the work they did, it was really really quickly and efficiently done. I was really happy with them.

The installation wsa without issue. They installed a new water heater, removed the old, and updated old valves.

We have to have our sewer cleaned every couple of years. This was the first time we had Killeen clean it. They did a great job; they put a camera down the sewer. They answered all our questions. Also, this was the best/lowest price we paid. We will call them again definitely.
