It was expensive, I feel like we started down one road and ended in another. The execution was very well done. Overall, moneybwell spent

We just had our kitchen redone by Jonathan and his crew. From the cabinets, to the counttertops and flooring, everything went as scheduled. We waited a year to save, and it was worth it

The worst experience with a contractor in my 61 years. If you want quality work, Jonathan Sedely delivers anything but quality. 1. Backsplash: I picked out subway tile and texted him w/photos. He ordered 5x5 tile and not enough for the job. He wouldn’t rectify the situation saying … “I am not purchasing more tile for $500, that was shipped on a train and took 12 days to get.” I had to go to HD & pay for tile that was not at all what I wanted. He did a sloppy backsplash tile job, didn't clean up grout residue, left 1” gaps where he ended the tile below the cabinets. Didn’t cut tile to reattach faceplates on electrical outlets in backsplash. He washed the cement & grout rags in my day old stainless steel kitchen sink. Entire sink was scratched & filled with rocks & grout 2. He installed kitchen faucet that leaked within the week We fixed ourselves. 3. Flooring installation: He was hired to level floor and install wood plank flooring in kitchen, dining, living room. He measured floor at 560 SQFT He ordered over 1,400 SQFt. He said “I thought it was heavy too. I took measurements months ago and honestly, I'm making pennies off the project.” The floor was installed, he forgot to hook up dishwasher and it flooded. Came back to reinstall that section. Within 2 weeks floor is popping up and splitting in sections. My husband being an honest guy, paid him before job was completed. We made five appointments for him to come back and correct issues. Each time no show/no call. To top it off Jon Sedely didn’t supply one receipt for material nor labor. Flooring was quoted @ $3200 but we were charged $7700. I’ve got 20 boxes still sitting in my living room!
Response from Westlake Remodel and Rebuild
"Funny. I actually had a salesman from another company order,( you picked it out with the countertop and pick out the tile). Had it ordered, it took 3 weeks, your wife picked it out, then didn't like it, blamed me. Secondly, we had a contract, you had me modify it, said you wanted it to reflect what another business was doing. We did it, ordered flooring for your downstairs, your wife didn't like the idea, so you blamed me. You stole a faucet from me, didnt pay the tile setter, i paid, and then realized, everything i stated was in the contract, which you then got charged for the flooring, which you paid me for. We do are contracts, half upfront. half when finished. You paid me, stating your wife had mental issues, was a stay at home wife, and cut me a check in the garage appoligizing for your wife, I dont know what to tell you, we kept are contractual obligations, and those photos aren't from my company,"

All About That Grace took on a kitchen remodel that most other contractors would not even attempt. They converted a small, unusable space in a 1920 house into an expansive, modern kitchen while maintaining the home's character. While there were delays along the way, Jonathan was always available to address issues and we are very happy with the finished product.
