Cheryl was fantastic to work with. She made the changes easy and I felt like she was part of my "move team". The move team showed up on Nov 5th at the time scheduled and diligently packed the truck, being careful with all my belongings. They unpacked them into the storage unit and then we continued to another place where they unloaded the final pieces of our belongings. They charge by the hour for local moves (they tell you up front what to expect), and they work fast during the move. I keep re-hiring them because they never take advantage of the hourly work.
On the day of the move, we found out that we would be able to move out of state in 10 days (much earlier than anticipated). One of the movers, Doug, kept explaining how they could help with that move as well. He was extremely helpful to give Cheryl an estimate of the weight of our belongings so she could give us a quote for the long-distance move.
They gave me a great rate for the move out of state and I hired them for a 2nd move on Dec 14th. They packed up two storage units into a truck, inventoried all my items (boxes, furniture and loose items), stored my items for 3 weeks in their temperature controlled warehouse and then delivered them to my new apartment in Maryland on a Sunday. The original due date was Monday but the owner called while on the road to ask if I would like them to come a day earlier and I was grateful to be able to receive my furniture a day early.
All of my belongings (boxes, furniture, loose items) were inventoried and everything arrived in perfect condition. No scratches, furniture all in one piece, boxes in good shape.
I have hired Eyring movers for many local moves and would definitely hire them again for a long distance move. They are trustworthy and careful.

I'm very satisfied with the entire process. They were able to adapt to my schedule on short notice, were very well mannered, and quite prompt, too. All furniture was moved to and fro without a mark appearing on anything. They were very gentle on my brand new hardwood floors and followed all my instructions to the letter. A refreshing experience compared to many of the horror stories I've heard about some movers. They did cost a little bit more than some other bidders but it is money well spent to get such service. I'm recommending them to my sister who needs furniture moved. Well done!

Throughout the process the communication was very good. Cheryl handled the scheduling and worked to accommodate us. We were also very impressed with the Eyring employees that delivered our household goods (they also set up the beds and assembled tables and chairs). It was raining the day of delivery at the new location. We live on a very narrow and curvy street which was a challenge for a large tractor trailer to maneuver but Doug (the truck driver) did an OUTSTANDING job!! Both Doug and the other person ( I am sorry, I can't remember his name) went above and beyond the call of duty.
Cheryl also called the day after the delivery to see how everything went. We appreciated the follow up and we were able to let Cheryl know how well the delivery went. I have found no damage to any of our possessions.
Moving is stressful but working with Eyring Movers is a pleasure. The price quoted was the price paid--no negative surprises.I highly recommend them whether it is a move across town or across country.

The two movers were on time and very polite and timely. They worked quickly and handled all our special requests. The items they moved had a lot of glass and or were big. They handled with care. I had to ask them to make an extra stop and drop a couple items that were going to my home and I wouldn't be able to move due to size.. on the way to my mom's new location and they were willing to do so. I also asked them to move a couple items within my mom's new home and they also did this for me. They were very friendly and felt they worked well as a team. I thought the final cost was very reasonable for the work done. I do not recall amount of time they worked but was expecting the price to be much higher. I would use the company again if I had another move needed.

Unfortunately, they did not cover my furniture, so the straps that they used to hold the furniture in place in the truck made some scratches and dents in it. I had mentioned something to the owner as I saw this was happening, and he said that they would cover the furniture in the truck. I don't know whether they did or not, but several pieces of my furniture were dented or scratched.
They were very accommodating in sending out a man to refinish my furniture and repair what had been done, I would just have preferred that it not happen in the first place. They were very nice.
