Since my last review Lowes corporate office has worked with me and resolved the issue to our satisfaction (after filing BBB complaint). We were able to compromise on the price and they were able to come within $100 of the advertised price for the newer model which we accepted as resolution. On Friday, November 6, 2015 I went online to Lowes website in search of a wash and dryer. I found an incredible buy on a washer and dryer listed for $299, originally $899. I found the washer in stock at Lowes in Canton and the dryer in stock at Lowes in Alliance Ohio. I immediately put both items into my cart. The ad stated the items were available until 1/2/16. I did not complete the purchase at the time because the items were for my son and daughter in law and I wanted to email them a picture of the items for approval first. This email was sent at 10:30 pm. The next morning (11/7) I went back to the site to purchase the items and neither were available. I started with the chat site to try to resolve this matter and was told there were none available and their solution was offering a washer that was regular $329 for $299 (Joke). I then contacted the number listed on the site to call if there are issues getting items listed and was told that this was a closeout and there were none in the entire state and they were "sorry" but would offer us 5% off the new model (which was priced at $809. I have never been so insulted with an organizations attempt to rectify a situation. I ask to speak to her supervisor who also stated there were none available in the state of Ohio. At this point I became very irate stating that no where on the sale page for either item was there any mention of closeout, clearance, limited availability, quantity limited or anything else. I explained that had any of those words been included in the sale page I would have completed the purchase the night before and would have been a fool not to! They said they were sorry again at which point I stated that apologies were empty, that this was false advertising and that if they could not resolve the issue that I would be reporting them to BBB, Angie's list, and any other consumer review page I could, along with spreading the word never to shop at Lowes to anyone I deal with. I then ask who I could speak to above the supervisor and was transferred to corporate. I once again explained that had the anywhere on the page listed these items as closeouts that I would have finalized the purchase as soon as it went in my cart. I told them that the only resolution acceptable to me was to offer a comparable item for the same price. Corporate stated that they would speak to the stores on Monday and get back with me. I received a call today from corporate stating the best they could do was offer the current model of the items I tried to purchase for $599, $300 more than the advertised price. I declined the offer as I was very clear that the only resolution I would accept was a comparable item for the sale price of $299. I know I am a little person fighting a big corporation, however this was blatant false advertising and I want to report this to every consumer site I can find. Do not shop at Lowes!

Description of Work: The quote they gave me was outrageous. They didn't arrive on time, didn't call to let me know.
