Delivery of product was supposed to be made on 12/2/2011, which did not arrive until 12/6/2011. Two consecutive work days I spent time on the phone trying to track down my delivery. Both times the operators had to take my information and contact me back because they could not track down my delivery via their system and had to make phone calls. When the product was delivered it was delivered four hours later than promised and it was damaged. The next morning I immediately proceeded to get the situation resolved and filed a claim. I had to wait for the next day because it was delivered close to the end of a work day. I filed a claim with YRC and requested that in inspector come out and take a look at the damaged crate and product that was delivered. I also offered pictures if they needed them. I filed the claim 12/12 on 12/13 the claim was denied. I received no call from the claim examiner, they did not send an inspector to the site to examine the damage, nor did anyone ask for pictures of the damage. It took them less than 24 hours to deny my claim when no investigation was done. Total loss from the damage done during shipment (approx): $2,500.00 I phoned the examiner and did not receive a call back. After all this I complained via email to the 'claims examiner' and she replied, ?At the point that a claim is declined, the claimant can rebut the declination and offer more information that the carrier may not be aware of. You can send me pictures of the damage and I will review them." Now why wouldn't they do this BEFORE settling the claim? It's just doesn't make since. The lack of respect and appreciation as a customer that I recieved from this company is the reason I'm telling everyone about them.
