John was great to work with from the beginning to the end. We communicated via email (my choice) and he always responded very quickly. We agreed on a date for him to come out and provide an estimate. He took his time to talk through the options of how and where to install the new plug and which electrical box would be the best option to use. The final estimate was very reasonable and included the work to obtain the inspection.
On the day of the install, John showed up promptly at 9:00 and spent three hours installing the new outlet.  He cleaned up everything when he was done and had the inspector check out the work.

Our real estate agent in the Akron area did not have a local electrician to recommend, so we selected Jordan Electric from Angie's List for Northeast Ohio to get an estimate.  As we had a short window before the expiration of the buyer's loan agreement, Mr. Jordan promptly visited the property and performed a very detailed analysis of the problems listed in the inspection, even opening the meter box to determine that one of the problems listed in the inspection had a different cause than the inspector had assumed.  He divided all of the repairs needed into three projects of related repairs -- garage wiring, electrical box & outlet repairs/upgrades and provided a detailed estimate for each project.  The outlet upgrades included installing GFCI connections (ground plug receptacles), as the house had been built before a ground plug was required.

When we presented his proposal to buyer and both real estate agents, the buyer was concerned that Mr. Jordan wasn't going to fix the drip loop as indicated in the inspector's report, so Mr. Jordan took the time to contact the buyer and explain to him what he found and why he was going to do something different.   The agents were concerned about the price (not sure why as we, the sellers, were paying for it) and asked us to get another estimate from a company recommended by the buyer's agent. The estimate we received was about 12% less than Jordan Electric's, but it was made entirely from the inspection report without visiting the property.  After taking Jordan Electric's discount for Angie's List subscribers, though, the difference came out to only 3%, and we were concerned that the other company might increase their charge after coming to the site and discovered the need for some of the other repairs listed in Mr. Jordan's estimate.  So we chose Jordan Electric to do the work.

He came out on Monday and finished on Wednesday, sending us daily updates and photos of the results.  He also let us know of a sink backup (which allowed us to get the plumbers out in time), when the HVAC company came out to scope the A/C unit replacement, and of an unsolicited visitor to the property.  He notified us when the city would be coming out to inspect and when that inspection was complete.

We did not get a chance to visit the property ourselves after the work was done; my brother-in-law was there the day before the house was transferred on 11/20 and reported no problems.  If I receive any updates from the current owner, I will update this review, but I don't expect that to happen.

In summary, we were very pleased with Jordan Electric, LLC and would recommend them to others in northeast Ohio needing electrical work.

We have a very high, sloped ceiling in our kitchen but John had no issues using two different very high ladders to replace the old canister lights in our kitchen with new LED gimbals.  He also suggested that we get a dimmer switch - and so we had him install that too.  (The LED gimbals were his idea - I thought we would need to do a more detailed replace/repair job.)   He was friendly, prompt, professional and charged a fair price.  I will certainly call him again for any electrical needs that arise.  Thank you John!

This was not our first experience with John. He came well prepared, was very thorough and cleaned up after himself. I would not hesitate to use him again.

We had a problem with our dishwasher and needed it to be repaired quickly.  We called John and he immediately answered the phone.  Although we did not expect to get service soon, John mentioned that he did have time that day and that he would stop by.  John arrived at the exact time he promised.  He examined the dishwasher and was very thorough.  He was upfront about not being 100% certain that the problem has been fixed but said that he had high confidence that we would no longer have problems with it.  He was right (so far)!  He also did an excellent job cleaning up after.  We are actually going to contact John soon about a project that we are planning for the fall.

aJohn at all times was professional and friendly, both on the phone and in person.  He even dresses professionally.  As soon as you meet him, you feel comfortable inviting him into your home and know that he will treat it and you with respect.  He is extremely knowledgeable in his profession and knew exactly what I needed done and how it needed to be done so that my home could pass inspection.  There is no other way to say it....if you want an experienced electrician that you can trust and feel comfortable with, then John is the person you need to contact.  I would hire him again in a heartbeat and knock people out of my way to get to the front of the line.

John was very responsive and customer service was top notch. He repaired illegal wiring that was found in our electrical panel. We could not be happier with the responsiveness and work preformed. We will definitely use again for our electrical needs.

After he completed the work the painter wanted the dead wires removed from the ceiling mount.  John was willing to come back and remove the wires for free.  He did an excellent job, was very customer service oriented, and I would be happy to recommend him in the future.

Both installations went well. The bathroom outlet was a bit tricky because it required cutting a hole in ceramic tiles in a tight spot but he did it fine. The cost seems expensive for three hours of work and not a lot of materials, though. I should have gotten an estimate but my schedule made that difficult, but I'll know for next time. Also, I realized afterwards I did not get a receipt for my payment but after my initial version of this review he sent me the receipt.

Jordan arrived on time, did the work efficiently, was pleasant and professional, cleaned up effectively and charged me exactly what he quoted me. 

John responded to my email promptly. Set up a next day estimate. Showed up on on time. Professional appearance and demeanor. John told me he could do the work and would send me an estimate. The estimate arrived via email within 5 hours. Price was fair. I booked the work the job two days out which was very pleasing. John came to the restaurant to do the work. We ran in to a big hiccup as the lampshade openings were to small for the hanging cords. John improvised and drilled the brass opening slightly larger on each one. the new shades were also longer than the previous ones meaning the cord needed cut so they would be raised off the tables the same distance. I suggested John do the half hearted way with me eye balling it but he had none of that. The guy is a pro. Wouldn't do it. He found a level point to go from and he did it properly. Each one with care. When the job finished it had taken him longer than we both anticipated. Because of this I paid him 10% more. I've never done that but I felt he deserved it and I want to make sure he wants to work for me in the future. As a business owner that's the highest praise I can give.

John was very professional and easy to work with. He listened to our needs and delivered exactly what we wanted. He was always prompt and friendly and did a great job coordinating with the general contractor and inspectors. He offered excellent suggestions and we got a feeling that safety was very important to him in the way everything would be wired. It was a pleasure to watch him work; he's obviously very experienced and takes the work seriously, very neat and clean with excellent craftsmanship. He even made better sense of the box in our house and printed us out a nice circuit legend. We would definitely hire John again.

He was excellent, he did above and beyond, pleasant young man. I would definitely hire him again.

Jordan Electric was a very positive experience for us. From the moment we talked to John on the phone describing the work we needed performed, to his visit to work up his quote, we knew that John was a true professional. Our house is an older house, but that didn't seem to provide any barriers that Jordan Electric couldn't handle.
During our conversation, John explained his background in Industrial and Commercial electronics.  John knows all phase of electrical workings, and this project of ours was fast, professional and we thought very competitive. We will be remodeling our kitchen next year and I am sure that Jordan Electric will be doing the work, they rate 100% in my book.

Always scheduled appointments ahead of time and arrived when scheduled. Explained the scope of work and offered suggestions as to alternatives. When John left each day the house was as clean or cleaner than when he arrived. He was a genuine pleasure to work with.
