Great! Nearly impossible to find anyone to repair a stove that's more than 40 years old, but these folks did it. What's more, they provided the fastest and most pleasant customer service I've ever experienced. One oven went out the week before Thanksgiving, and the Stove Lady and a helper appeared almost like magic a few hours later. Not only was Thanksgiving saved, but a few weeks later, when the other oven wouldn't light, there she was again to "have a look." That look and an hour or so later, and I had another working oven and three working valves for what had been a partially "frozen" griddle. Even got a present in the mail yesterday of a new knob to replace one of mine that was cracked. Service above and beyond, for sure. There's no way I can say enough good things about this business--their know-how is great, their service is better, and their good humor is just an added bonus. They also can completely refurbish old stoves like mine. I've seen pictures of their beautiful work and would trust them in a heartbeat if I ever wanted to give my range a new life.

Well, we have been using Carlita's services for almost 20 years. She answered our emails at 10:30pm while she was on vacation. What stove repair person does this? The repair went well. She left the work area cleaned. She answered all questions regarding the issue. She is a little like a doctor.

Truly expert on the spot diagnosis of root cause of several problems and repair with completely successful outcome. Stove now has all its capabilities again. Quick response, prompt arrival, careful but speedy work. Cannot praise highly enough.

When we bought our apartment 30+ years ago, it came with a Crown double oven/range. It was in good condition and we decided to keep it. At some point we needed a part and got on touch with Carlita (aka "Stove Lady") From that point on she has been our go-to person for all our parts/repair needs. She also did a refurbishment to make it not only perform better, but look better also. All this was done in a most timely and professional fashion. Most recently, Carlita was extremely helpful and went out of her way to help me with a small issue. I would unequivocally recommend Carlita and Belgrove Appliances.

Brilliant. Called the company within an hour of submitting online forms; they were already familiar with my query & requested photos to positively identify the cooktop manufacturer. (Had no idea myself; it came with the house.) By day’s end, set an appointment for a consultation with Carlita (The Stove Lady herself!) within 2 days, which was great as I live an hour by NJ road from their shop. Repair was completed in-home as estimated, a few days later (after separate plumbers installed necessary gas shut-off valve); technician Amir was professional, low-key & efficient. I’m so grateful for their expertise & honesty; while not necessarily a vintage buff, I’m glad to repair instead of replace. They really did a great job. And if we choose to do a like-new restoration as part of a future kitchen update, I’ll hire them to do it.

We have a Caloric 1950's wall oven and stove top. The oven especially needed some serious tic, the stove surface was cracked in a few places, and need some additional work as well to get it to work efficiently. After communicating with Carlita a bit, she visited our home with her team and got a better look at what needed to be done. She worked with us on our budget, and together we decided on the best next steps for our situation. We were committed on keeping the stove and oven, even while many others in our lives suggested we scrap it and buy new. I am so glad we stuck with our gut to restore our appliances rather than chuck them. I've baked all sorts of things so far in the oven from chicken to cookies. It is well worth the investment. Now when I have company over I am actually pretty excited to use our retro but working appliances. Especially when that company are the "buy new" people.

From my first phone call to their reception to speaking with Carlita herself, everyone was super helpful and friendly. She even helped me for free!!! (which I very much appreciate as a new homeowner to a very old (1890's) house, as there are constantly expensive projects to be done) Basically, reception told me to send photos to their info@ email and that someone would get back to me. I wasn't sure what that meant, but Carlita called me back very promptly and walked me through exactly what I needed to do to reset the gas switches. She was very patient with me and tried a few things until I got it working. So HELPFUL!!! I will certainly be calling her in the future to come service our old Wedgewood and I would recommend her services to anyone.

Carlita( oven lady) fixed it all and more. She was very professional and determined to figure out all the problems we had. At first we had some issues with the sixth burner leaking gas. Carlita would reach out at all times day and night to make sure it was working ok. Several months after Carlita did work on our oven she is still helping us over email or phone when small problems come up. Could not recommend oven lady enough!!!

The job was so well done. It simply looked like a a brand new stove. Parts were re-chromed, re-enameled, burners re-furbished, They replaced all the missing parts, new gaskets on the ovens... got all the missing springs for the broiler and oven doors...and this is a 44 year old stove. Belgrove is maybe the only company that even knew where to find the parts! Finally Carlita and her team care about what they are doing. They want to do a great job, and work incredibly hard, so that when you walk into your kitchen and see that shining beauty where that greasy workhorse used to be, it's just really hard to believe it's the same stove. Not only did Carlita get us the part (she gave us a stronger piece and provided us with instructions on how to care for the appliance to avoid something like a break happening again, so we can be better. I contacted Carlita to get a suggestion of a local American Crown range repair man since Belgrove Appliance is quite far away. She gave me a suggestion on how to fix my oven myself that sounded crazy, but when I tried it, it completely worked! So I went from having 2 broken ovens to both of them working perfectly with no visit needed. I will absolutely use them if we decide to refurbish our American Crown range when we renovate our kitchen.

In between that first meeting and the restoration, Carlita stayed in contact with me regularly, to follow up on the gas issue and offer advice as I attempted to navigate plumbers, Con Edison, etc. Once it was resolved, on the day of the overhaul, a team of very professional, courteous guys spent the better part of a day taking apart my stove, which they painstakingly cleaned and oiled. They'd brought back the various parts that, during our initial assessment, Carlita had taken with her to have rechromed and repainted. By the end of the day, it looked like I had a brand new stove. Well...a brand new vintage stove!
It is rare, in this day and age of fast-moving, technology based interaction, to find someone who still handles business the old fashioned way -- with a personal touch, good customer service, and a sense of pride in doing a job extremely well. I would hire Belgrove again in a heart beat! In fact, I've no doubt that I will in the future. Keeping a vintage appliance functioning properly requires gentle upkeep by people who are experts at what they do.

The door of my dishwasher was falling open and making a scraping noise. The repairman took it out from under the counter, determined what parts had broken, showed them to me and explained what was going on. Then he left and said he would check to see if the parts I needed were in stock and would call me back. He was in touch within an hour. The parts were in and he could come back later that day and finish the repair. He called in advance of coming and repaired the dishwasher door. I'm happy because the dishwasher works fine and now it's like new for 1/3 of the cost of a replacement. I have used Belgrove Appliance for several years. Carlita, the owner, has repaired several appliances for me and when my washing machine finally broke she helped me get a new machine, with the features I wanted, at a good price - took the old one away and brought the new one in and installed it. I recommend them to anyone who asks.

Carlita is a real pro. She is not cheap, but she tells you how much it is going to cost and when she will be there and is dependable on both counts. I could not afford to have her rebuild my stove from scratch, but she came when I needed her, and found and installed all the parts, when everyone else I contacted just waved me away or laughed. Tellingly, I was in touch with stove repair people in California and Louisiana, and they knew her and recommended her. She is in a strange business, and operates by a set of rules that work for her and that she is not going to change, which can come across as extreme rigidity, but I stuck with her and she stuck with me, and my beloved old stove is running and I love it.

The provider asked me to email them some information, which I did. When I called them back, they said they didn't have it yet. The communication process ended up taking too long, and so I hired someone else. They were very nice, and I believe this was  a technical glitch.
