It went flawlessly--could not have gone any better. This company is professional and their staff acts professionally. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know and I will use them again in the future for any plumbing needs.

They were highly professional and knowledgeable; the plumbers pinpointed the problems just from a glance. They were also personable. While I thought the price was a little high for the shower valve, I thought the price for the other jobs was definitely fair.

I spent about $1200 on that work. They came when they were supposed to and were decent people. I would recommend them to others. I think that I got them off the list and were top rated.

First time to use Angie's List and wow am I impressed -- not just with Angie's list, but with A and N plumbing. Answered my calls right away; A and N thought ahead to ask what the building requirements were for certificate of insurance and faxed one right away; came absolutely on the dot on time; the two servicemen were polite, quick and effective. I thought their price was very fair. I would recommend them to anyone in the city and would definitely use them again. I am so pleased with Angie's List that I'm going to give memberships as Christmas presents!

They were efficient and the price was great. I am extremely happy with them! They were very courteous, fast, and professional.

What I liked about Aand N was that when the units seemed to be failing only six months later, they came back TWICE, with no argument, finally fixed the problem the third go round, and didn't try to charge me. So even though the original price for the work seemed a bit high, they stood by their work over the course of multiple visits.

I asked A and N to see why my hot water heater wasen't working. Two men came on time. They diagnosed the problem and told me they needed to replace a part in my hot water heater. I agreed to pay for the part that was over $200. Once replaced, the heater still didn't work. THey told me that I should contact a boiler repair company who might have the parts I need. They left and did not charge me for the part (over $200) or for the service call. I'm impressed that they acted so professionally.

I love Aand N! My husband and I bought a hundred year old house a few months ago, and once we took down the drop ceilings and wood paneling, we realized what bad shape some sections of the house were in. A particularly terrible first floor hallway was completely ravaged by a 30+ year old leak from the 2nd floor bathroom. It had completely rotted the floor beams and it is a miracle the bathtub didn't end up in the basement. We have contractors who are able to do some basic plumbing, but we needed to call in the big guns to fix some piping issues in the existing leaking bathroom as well as create a new bathroom on the 3rd floor. Aand N was amazing, They were responsive, were able to start the work a day after they gave us the estimate, and their crew was always on time. They even ribbed our contractors for taking long lunch breaks and coming in late. Nick is a classic Bronx guy, super amiable and funny. Not only were they able to maintain a collegial environment with our contractors but they got the work done in three days and even our contractors were impressed with the quality. We are going to run some new piping and are planning on using them again. We highly recommend them!

The experience start to finish was pleasant!!

I decided to call this company based on the reviews on here. When I initially called none of the plumbers were in and receptionist told me that someone would call me back by 3:00 pm. They did. I scheduled an appointment for 9:30 am the following Friday. At 9:30 am the door bell rang. The plumber who came (I think his name was John) was very nice. He looked at the problem and told me that it was something I could do myself. I just needed to go to plumbing supply store and buy a specific part and re-install it. He told me exactly how to install the part when I get it. Noticing my hesitation, he offered to do it for me but reassured me that it was something I could do and didn't have to pay for. I went to plumbing supply store, got what John suggested and installed it. It worked. I was so proud of my self (I am not mechanically inclined.) More incredibly, John did not charge me for the initial visit and plumbing education. Should I have other plumbing issues in the future, I will definitely call them first. I am in service industry so I know excellent service when I see it and for this experience, this company provided excellent service. I have since had this company over at my house to perform other jobs. Each time Nick and Anthony were fantastic. I will continue to use them.

Vendor arrived on time, fees were reasonable, and work was excellent.

I called Aand N to advise me on what to do about a toilet flange that had been installed too high off the floor during a previous renovation of my bathroom. As I live in a prewar building, I wasn't sure whether this would be a simple job or a nightmare involving removal of the flange and part of the soil stack. This company gets instant points for always answering the phone within a few rings and always returning calls. Anthony visited to provide an estimate of the work that would be needed and reassured me that the complicated option was not necessary. He also agreed to have his plumbers remove the 1980s Kohler toilet (ugly and barely flushed!) that I had removed and stored in my minuscule Manhattan hallway. Having coped with all the insurance requirements of my building, the plumbers returned a few days later to attend to the flange and install the new toilet. Unfortunately I discovered after they had left that the bowl had not been set level, leaving a wider gap under one side than under the other. I wasn't so much worried about leaks as about the glaze on the toilet cracking if the weight of the bowl and the person on it were not properly supported. Anthony returned without hesitation or argument and reinstalled the bowl. Aand N deserves its good reviews: responsive, considerate and competent. Not the cheapest, but well worth the money.

From start to finish, A and N Repair was fantastic and this is the only plumber we'll use in the future. Here's why: Reliable - Joe and John showed up on time and their work was impeccable. Responsive and straightforward - After the initial estimate, we realized that what we had initially planned (reorienting the pipes towards the back of the wall) was going to be too costly and involve some unbudgeted and unscheduled plaster reconstruction. We told Anthony we wanted it scaled back, he did a new estimate and proposal and emailed it to us within a day. He gave us no guff AND the new proposal and estimate worked perfectly for our budget and schedule. Diplomatic - Our building super is great at many things but plumbing isn't one of them. Unfortunately, he doesn't know this and he showed up to provide his inexpert supervision. Joe and John perfactly handled his unlicensed backseat driving (which could have caused a wreck) by acknowledging all his suggestions while still quietly doing what really needed to be done. They were polite and kept the super happy. Honest and respectful - As they did the work, though we aren't plumbers, Joe and John consulted with us to make us aware of what they were doing and treated our questions and preferences with respect. They explained what they were doing and why. We are confident that what they did really needed to be done to get the job done right. High quality and efficient work - The work took far less time than anticipated, the new pipes are beautiful and working without a hitch. The dishwasher is working perfectly too. They haven't needed to make a return visit and we don't anticipate one.

They were prompt and professional. The people who came out seemed to know what they were doing. They did a great job. The pipe replacement job was really expensive, though.

Aand N did jobs for us at two different locations (homes of 2 different family members). I also had numerous phone conversations with the office. Across the board, everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful. When I first called, one of the partners, Nick, patiently spent a very long time on the phone with me discussing the problem and various solutions. When we arranged the service calls, the men arrived on time or early for each visit (1 estimate, 2 work visits). The work at the coop apartment involved a lot of paperwork and phone calls to the management office, which Nick took care of cheerfully and efficiently. Prices were given to me up front and there were no changes or surprises. I will definitely go back to these folks the next time I need a plumber.

My overall experience with Aand N was excellent. I called yesterday morning and was told I could possibly be seen today. I got a call back that they could not make it today but scheduled me for the next day. I appreciate the fact that the company communicated with me and told me they would call 30 minutes prior to the appointment. The team came assessed the situation and asked if I agreed with their plan. They went back to their van, got the necessary equipment and took care of everything within an hour. I am going to ask my co-op board to add Aand N to our list of recommended local businesses.

They were really good, we were very happy with them. They were very, very nice.

I was very upset thinking that I had a gas pipe problem – corrosion, rust and decay involving the main gas line coming into our home with Bailey and Kyle. I called up the company and within 15 minutes someone called me back. Once I described the problems and explained the situation, Aand N Repair Service said they would be at my premise within one hour, they arrived in half that time. Two of the employees came out to visit my premise and placed my mind at ease. I did not need any major repair done and both man were direct and straightforward in their approach. That is the best type of professionalism for me

I've used them twice in the last 1 1/2 months. The first time I called, they were right here. They were punctual and professional. They gave us great tips on what to do and not to do. I even have them on speed dial.

Team of 2 arrived on time, assessed problem quickly and had replacement parts with them. They fixed the pipe quickly and efficiently.

I would give them my absolute top rating. They're a great service, very knowledgeable, have reasonable prices, and can do it all.

The reason I hired this company was because I thought they were licensed plumbers. The people that showed up to do the work were in the 20s and were not licensed plumbing. They opened the pipes and said to me that they couldn't do the job because the pipe was 3/4 in and the shower head is 1/2in. They were also supposed to change out my shut off valve. They then threatened to leave in the middle of the job because I wouldn't agree to get a new shower head.They wouldn't use a reducer from the 3/4in to the 1/2 in pipe. They were also threatening to leave because I was upset that the young men did not have master licenses and I was concerned that my super would shut down the job if they did not have licenses. Once they agreed to stay they had to go buy pipes. They charged me $500 to replace a shut off valve. I had to find another plumber to do the shower body. I used a reducer and my water pressure is fine.

This was a consultation,not a service performed. The diagnosis and plan to remedy the problem were worked out with the plumber who visited. But we had to agree that I would postpone actually ordering work to commence because of the looming strike by ap't staff--this large co-op will allow no work of any type except emergency if the strike takes place (due to start April 20)so we agreed to wait to put the plan into action until the strike issue was settled. But the most striking thing about the "house call" was that the plumber was ON TIME on the day we set! Given the cost of doing business in Manhattan,I did not think that the "house call" fee was out of line,just a bit pricey,but well worth the suggested remedy and the ability to do the work once building management approves it. Very satiisfied.
