A & N Plumbing

Called Aand N to get a rough estimate on replacement of a shower pressure valve. They patiently walked me through the fact that it would be a bigger job than I thought and suggested I would be better off paying up for a tough to find replacement part. Even referred me to a nearby part store that would likely be able to help me. I was impressed that he took the time to talk to me and explain the situation even after it was clear that I did not have any business for him. Very classy.

Excellent all-around work – would definitely hire again!

I called Anthony and he sent Steve to my home. Steve saw my boiler was flooded and stood with me for over 2 hours while it drained out. He stated it must be and electrical problem and suggested I call an electricial. Low and behold, there was an electrcal problem with my switch. Although Steve was not able to fix my boiler he knew what the problem was. Also, I must mention, while he stood with me for over two hours to empty my flooded boiler, he did not charge me ONE RED SCENT. These guy

Fast response to initial call, scheduled quickly, very punctual and pleasant. I've used them twice before, and they always are professional and do an excellent job.

My experience with A and N Plumbing was mixed. On the good side, I called 6 different plumbers and Nick was the only one to return my calls, so kudos to him for that. In addition he was pleasant on the phone and discussed the plumbing issue I had with me so I felt like he was interested. He promised me a time when the plumber would be there and as to his word, he showed up on time. The plumber was also extremely pleasant. The service we had them work on was a small leak in a toilet in a guest bathroom. It appeared to prove challenging to the plumber although It appeared he knew what he was doing. I was little perplexed that he didn;t spend more time trying to diagnose the problem prior to fixing it. After working on it for quite some time he figured out that the problem might be a part that wasn't readily accessible so he said he would have to come back the next day, but to his credit he secured the toilet so it wouldn;t leak. At that point I asked him to take a look at the sprayer in my kitchen sink which wasn;t working. Again he worked on it for quite a bit of time and was getting frustrated with the process when all of a sudden, the sink didn;t work at all. He then told me that the only solution was to take out the nice sink fixtures I had and replace them with a piece he had in the truck. All this was done in the spirit of helping so I appreciated that and he was working really hard and doing his best to help me on something that he wasn't even supposed to be doing, but I felt that maybe the work presented a problem that may have had a different solution To be fair, he left me with a working sink, not the sprayer, and came back the next day to finish the toilet. Overall I would say the experience was inconsistent. Nick and the plumber were both nice and responsive. They were on time and I greatly appreciated their timeliness and effort. I'm just not sure the quality of work is there. The other issue I had was the cost of the service. I just don't believe that paying close to $525 for this kind of service is warranted. I don't pay doctors on 5th Avenue this much for doctor visits. This being said, I would give them another chance.

After having left 4 unreturned messages for another plumber who often works my NYC co-op, I was referred to Aand N by a contractor who spoke of them highly. I called Anthony at 8AM to request an appointment to have a new kitchen faucet installed, and by 11AM that same day a member of his crew was in my apartment on the job. Anthony called me twice to update me on the plumber's arrival time which I appreciated. The price was fair, work done professionally, workspace cleaned afterwards - I couldn't have been happier. I was amazed how responsive Anthony was compared to my experience with the other plumber, and have given his card to my super for future reference. This was a simple job but I felt I was treated as if it were a valued customer. Will definitely recommend to others and will use again in the future.

The showed up on time. They were neat and they were able to easily resolve an issue that could have been a big mess. They were also pleasant to work with. I will call them again in the future.

Four months ago, we had a leak coming from the sink in our basement. Nick and Anthony came as soon as we called, fixed the problem quickly, and charged us nothing. As for the current job, it could not have gone more smoothly. We were charged a fair price. The job was performed as quickly as possible. Anthony was courteous and professional from beginning to end. Both jobs were completed in a few hours. And the problem was fixed. I have used Angie's List a number of times and, probably because of bad luck, it has not worked out once. Not once that is until now. Nick and Anthony have restored my faith in Angie's List. No wonder they won a service award.

I got a bad first impression for a plumbing emergency

Just an FYI - these guys don't service Tarrytown or areas near this in Westchester County, they did call me back right away and I was prepared to use them if they serviced this area.

Anthony and Jason was awesome. They showed up on time, and did the work very efficiently. I would definitely hire them again, and recommend anyone. Keep up the good work, guys! Thanks.

I told him I had to talk with the other apartments before I could confirm a date for them to come out. He told me just to call him to confirm when I had everything done and coordinated, I never called him and he still sent someone out when no one was there and became rude at that time because no one was home. It was just a miscommunication.

My overall experience with A and N Plumbing was good. The two guys, Anthony and Jason that came to my house were excellent. Although I was out of the house for awhile, when I came back they explained everything to me and showed me everything they put in new. I will definetly use them again and I will also recommend them.

these guys have been great so far. They were super fast and efficient. They haven't finished their work yet but so far they've been great.

They were prompt, came on time, and finished when they said they would. They cleaned up and their price was reasonable.

The Aand N representative Mike came to look at a leak remaining from work done by another plumber. The other plumber had proposed a substantial scope increase due to potential risks involved with working on the house's 'brittle' brass pipes. Mike suggested that the pipes actually looked pretty good and that a straight forward fix should be the conservative approach. They showed up on time, were very pleasant and thoughtful/respectful in terms of working within our home around our kids. They worked quickly and efficiently. An honest mistake was made in that when they reconnected the pipes from upstairs, one existing branch line between the joists below was inadvertently reset below the line of the ceiling. This was very hard to see because the ceiling had been removed. I missed it myself at first. Aand N was very responsive and communicative about promptly scheduling the fix. Shortly after refitting to make the correction, my hot water valve on our sink fed by the branch line mentioned above stopped working (something similar had happened with the other plumber previously). I called Aand N again and they came again without any fuss or delay and looked into it and fixed the problem. I was very pleased with there communication and professionalism I have recommended them to neighbors who were also pleased and I certainly plan to have them do more work for me in the near future.

Aand N was one of three plumbing companies that came to our house to assess the work we needed done. They were the most responsive and most professional of all three. They responded with a qoute via email the same day, a few days after us signing the contract we were contacted to schedule the work. The entire process, from first meeting to completion of work, took less than two weeks. The work itself took less than one day and they had to share space with a few electricians who happened to be doing work for us at the same time.

Plumbers were very responsive. They were able to provide an estimate the same day I called. Overall very professional - very punctual and completed work in a timely manner. Also, great quality work -- very neat and clean. Would use again.

Their price was reasonable and they did a good job but they left me a bit of a mess. However, i would use them again.

Called around 1pm. One of their plumbers was free after finishing his current job. I was told the plumber would arrive before 4. The plumber arrived before 3, took about 45 minutes cleared all drains. Was polite and pleasant, no mess no problems. Good experience.

Two different plumbers had come previously to fix the problem, both unsuccessfully. The gentlemen from A and N were punctual and courteous. They did what they said they would do, and did the job right. The price was fair, and I would definitely use them again.

They never called to do or refuse the job.

We hired A and N Plumbing to come to our apartment to do various repairs they did a very good job but they are a little pricey. They performed various repairs on the apartment, they were prompt and professional. I would not hire them again as they were too expensive.

I had a bathtub faucet that had been leaking for some time, and eventually noticed some water dripping through the kitchen ceiling immediately below the tub. I called Aand N based on Angie's List reviews and spoke with an assistant to whom I explained the problem. She was very courteous and explained Anthony would likely not be available until later in the day, but he would call to confirm. I went in to work and Anthony did call to confirm he would go by the house in the afternoon. He called me after arriving at the house and running a test to explain what he thought the problem was (poured dye in the tub to see if the problem was with the drain assembly or with the hot/cold valves - appeared to be the latter) . We agreed he'd come back the next day to make the fix, which involved opening up a hole around the tub faucet/valves and replacing that whole assembly. Had to sweat several joints in a pretty tight spot and as far as I can tell they did a good job - stopped the leak, no more water in kitchen. They were prompt, quick, very professional and left the worksite pretty clean. Will definitely call them again, although hopefully in a situation where I have time to compare pricing - plumbing work is pricey.

They were great to work with. Even during the holiday week, they returned ny call within 2 hours and came the nexr day. They called ahead, as promised. Anthony and John explained thoroughly what they could do, and called office for price quote. Confirmed the day before and showed up on time. Only one worker came but he was very efficient, neat, and extremely polite. John walked me through what was done and answered all questions. No surprises and no problems. I highly recommend A + N Plumbing.
