The next day he never shows and never calls. I have to call the office to find out he is running late, no kidding, and he eventually shows about 4 hours late. He then tells me he can't replace the valve on one of the radiators but does replace the other one. He then reels me it is still $400 for some unknown reason, as if his labor costs $800 an hour because he was only there for around 30 minutes. Now half the radiators in my house are not working and it is getting cold, yes these are the ones he said were OK. I contacted the plumber I have been using and asked him to look at it and he tells me that the correct way to address the problem is to replace all of the valves to make sure the system has correct pressure. This makes sense to me and his price to replace 11 valves is $400. Including labor. needless to say I will not be calling Sila ever agin.

Good and bad. I purchased the Angies List Deal of $69 to do a yearly tune-up/maint of my ductless A/C. The tech arrived on schedule but when seeing the system he said "Oh, this offer only covers the main outdoor unit and ONE inside unit". Well with ductless systems you usually have more than one inside A/C unit for your house (usually one in each main room). So to do the other 3 units in the house (I had 4 indoor units) it would cost me $99 per unit! (Really????) So instead of $69 it would cost me an additional $300!?! To me this is a bit of false advertising (or at a minimum poorly worded offer!) If anything, the sales person at Sila when setting up the appointment with me should have asked what type of system i had and once they knew I had a ductless ask how many units and explain this up front. I decided to just have the one unit done which they did a thorough and timely job on. I then found another company to do the rest for HALF that price! Just to be fair though. Doing the main outdoor unit and one unit for $69 is a good deal that no other company could probably match and they did a good job. But that only took care of 1/3 of my system. Just make sure you ask for details if you have a ductless system and not get the sticker shock i did.

I gave them dates and asked whether the job could be combined with furnace tune up: no response on Angies list mail system. I called them and was put through a service agent who promised to call back: he never did I visited their website and mailed a summary of my needs and that I had purchased maitenance: no reply.

The provider basically did nothing to 'Tune Up' my AC. I was told that my system was OLD and I needed a new one. There was NO tune up involved in the service provided. I was quoted ~$300 to install a new thermostat. I was quoted ~$400 for a chemical rinse of my evaporator coil. Lowes did it last year for 1/2 that price. No pressure reading was given for the freon in my system but I was quoted another ~$400+ for freon. Save your money and skip the 'Inspection' of your A/C system from Sila. (NOT A TUNE UP AS ADVERTISED)
