"The customer called and booked an appointment. When our tech showed up, the customer would only open the front door a crack to speak with the tech (not sure why, our techs are in uniform and our trucks are clearly lettered so our customers know exactly who they are dealing with). It turned out that the customer was experiencing a partial outage through part of the house. He was told that we would need to check the main electrical panel and other parts of the house and he said he did not want us in the panel or certain rooms. Long story short, we never made it into the house and he was never quoted $700. He was very insistent that we check only a switch but when he turned the switch on, several exterior lights came on, so the switch was not the problem. We really wish he would have just let us do our job, we have over 100 years of combined experience in the company and we definitely know what we are doing. We just need the opportunity to do it."

"To start, we would just like to say this review is based on a 30 second phone call. He had sent us an inquiry through the Angi website stating the he wanted an upgrade and price was the main factor. To be completely transparent, if someone is looking for he cheapest price it will most likely not be us. We have some of the best techs in the county and they are paid accordingly. We also use the best materials and give LIFETIME warranties on all new work (best in the county). We show up in uniform and lettered trucks so you know exactly who you are dealing with. We do charge a $59 fee to send a tech out to a house in order to partially cover our time and travel. Once there, we offer a FREE 10 point electrical safety inspection (at no additional charge) and the customer is left with a completed form educating them on any possible issues with their electrical system. I think this customer was under the impression that the previous reviewer who mentioned the free 10 electrical inspection did not pay the $59 (he in fact did pay it). Most contractors charge $125-$150 for the first half hour and then $175-$200 per hour after that. We charge flat rates based on the task and not the hour. With us, you know the exact price before any work begins instead of getting an unknown bill at the end of the job (a lot less stressful). This customer called and when he was told there was a $59 fee he became a bit rude. We give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was just having a bad day. Happens to everyone. Funny thing is, both of our 1 star reviews and 2 of our 3-3 stars reviews are people we never did any work for. These people felt compelled to leave a bad review over a phone call or price (speaks volumes). We wish this customer the best and hope his day gets better."

We do the free safety inspection because most people who call us have not had an electrician in their house in 10 or more years. We check all the electrical devices (outlets and switches) and always remove the panel cover to look inside the panel. There are times when we find that water has been leaking into the panel, this can be very dangerous but can also go unnoticed for a long period of time. We give the homeowner a copy of what we find so they can address problem items at the time or in the future. Have a great day!"

"We attempted to contact this customer several times after this review was posted but to no avail. When we researched this call, we found that the appointment had been made but was cancelled on the day of the appointment. Looking at our records for that day, it was a very busy time and we had a new person helping on the phones who had just finished training. It is entirely possible a mistake was made and the cancellation was actually another customer and not this one (we did have someone who was not home when we showed up that day). We always like to give our customers the benefit of the doubt so we have sent the customer a $250 coupon that is good for 1 year to make up for any inconvenience. We are always committed to the absolute best customer service we can possibly provide and as much as we try to accomplish this, from time to time we fall short of our goal. We hope this customer will use the coupon so she can see how good we can be and we apologize for any inconvenience."

"Just to explain the job a little bit: When we arrived at the house, we removed the existing ceiling fans and found that the fixture boxes that were holding them up were very old and outdated. When we discover this, we informed the customer that they would need to be changed to bring them up to code so they could handle the weight and vibration of the new fans.
