First worker arrived at 8:30AM. They were finished and leaving at 1:30PM the same day and some of the workers took time for lunch. Their work was perfect. Not a single leak. Would recommend them vey highly for the quality of the work done and the pricing.
I received two different estimates from different companies and they were much higher for just one project. They did such a wonderful job! I really cannot say enough about them. I was recommended to them by a family friend and checked them out on Angie's list and the work is definitely as good as people say it is! They did shingle/rubber roofing and certainteed siding.
I waited a year for this review because I'm in a high wind area and wanted to really see after time how all would survive the first year. I did have one third of one single shingle shift sideways near the gutter during this 2013/14 winter. No big deal. But I called Sahlems and ask about it and the NEXT DAY getting home from work, they must have immediately dispatch a crew to take a look. All set and of course no charge!

They were prompt in setting up the job to get done. My home is an old home with 7 gables, and the garage was a 3 car size, detached @106 Two Rod Road , Marilla, NY. The crew descended on my property at @ 7:30 am, and got to work. They were respectful of myself, my property, were courteous and patient with my endless questions, even when they ran into a huge bee's nest and had to send one of their workers to the hospital, they never lost stride. They cleaned as they went along , as well as sending in a crew at the end of the job for the fine touches, such as nails and stray pieces. The whole job was completed in 1.5 days. Roofs were complete, gutters were installed and as a bonus they pressure washed my house and garage.
Our family farm had a barn that was greatly in need of a roof, you could see daylight in some spots. This was located at 1300 Indian Church Road, West Seneca, NY. Again their crew arrived promptly. It was a total tear off, down to the plywood with some repairs to the joints and rafters. The crew was excellent, courteous, polite and helpful, with a great sense of humor I may add. They even managed to hook me up with someone that wanted an old boat I had on the property! The clean up crew that followed were an excellent bunch too, the whole experience was wonderful. This job was done and over by 2pm the same day.
These were 2 different jobs but totaled what I stated above. I would call Sahlem's again if I had another roof to be replaced hands down. They are an excellent Company, and have a wonderful crew working for them both in office and out.

The person that was scheduled to complete the estimate was late and no call from the company. After about an hour, I called the office to find out the estimator was delayed at the first appointment and would arrive shortly. When he arrived it took him about a half hour to come up with an estimate, he never went on the roof, he just eyeballed the task. When he was done he handed me the estimate and said if I had any questions to call the office, because he was late for his next appointment. I had 4 other estimates at this point so I knew what the price range should have been, Sahlem's was not the cheapest nor was it the most expensive. I selected them in spite of the way the estimator conducted himself.
The quality of work performed by the crew was outstanding. They worked very well together and seamed to have very good knowledge of the roofing process. I was impressed that the site setup took about an hour so my landscape would be protected. The only issue I had was that 3 branches were broken off my trees, but this was unpreventable in my eyes. The job took two days to complete because of the additional work required to remove the siding to install the StormGuard. At the end of the day, the cleanup crew arrived and did a great job dealing with the old roofing and the large amout of plastic wrap from the new materials. Other than the fact that the grass was a little tramped down, you could not see anything distressed on our lot.
