EVERGREEN CUSTOM CESSPOOL

Digging in the backyard to plant a tree endup finding a big black hole in the ground. Called three companies at 8:30 the next morning and only Evergreen had someone I could talk to. Ron called back that morning and scheduled to come and look at it next morning. They came out on time, fixed everything up. And cleaned out the cesspool at my request after checking it and seeing that it was almost fulll. Great work and nice people.

The job went very well.  I actually never had the please of meeting Ron or seeing the work being done.  That's how smoothly it went.  He arranged the town inspector to come and did the job while I was at work.  All I had to do was send him a check.  Working with Evergreen was a great experience.

Excellent. Ron and his employees including his office staff were polite, punctual, made return calls and his service was excellent.Ron is a person you can talk to and will listen to your concerns about the job. The excavation and the placement of his equipment was done in such a manner so that the least damage was done to the property. He worked around the flower beds, cleaned up and racked over the excavated area. I would definitely recommend him.

It went great from start to finsh, the owner was out with worker doing the job and explaining everything that they were doing. They were very professional and courteous and clean up when all was done. You would never new they were there.

Ron was upfront and honest with his costs..and the costs were competitive. This happened on a Sunday (of course!) We predug the cover up for the first pool..and said "oh s#@t needs to be pumped.(.I never had it done and ive been there 8 years) Ron showed up when he said he would- he and my husband searched tirelessly for the second. Finally found it, hubby dug it up, both pumped out and treated. No hidden costs- no BS. Ron a nice hardworking person like us!

Ron was amazing.  He made every effort to get to my house asap because everything was overflowing.  I have only been in this house for a year and did know what was going on. He kept constant phone contact and did in fact make it that day. It was a very very cold Saturday and snow covered the ground. Ron patiently tried everything in trying to make sure costs were kept to a minimum.  He spoke to us every step of the way explaining what he was doing and looking for, etc.  There was so much work he did, he found the two septic tanks (apparently one was eliminated and a new one was attached to the pipes) and thoroughly explained what the issue was.  Thankfully it was roots going into the pipe which he cleared and charged only 150.00. We gave him much more because of all of his effort and honesty.
Ron just came back again to clean the septic tank which was also full.  He was once again thorough and honest.  We would recommend him very highly to anyone.  A very honest and nice man with a great work ethic.

We experienced a clog in our main waste line which let's just say was quite the mess in the basement. I contacted Ron at approximately 10:30 am on a Saturday. He was at our house by 1:00 (even had someone call us to notify us that he would be approx. an hour later than he anticipated which never happens). He was professional, thorough, knowledgeable and quite frankly my savior that day. He taught us how to maintain our septic system so that this disaster doesn't happen again. Highly recommend!!!

I rarely write reviews, but Ron, who owns Evergreen, was such a pleasure to work with that I wanted to do something in return.  He's honest, on time, polite respectful, and very hard working.  No BS.  He was referred to me by a friend who had the same good experience.  This was my second experience with him because he also re-built my collapsed cesspool a year earlier and again was the same honest, reliable self.  He does what he says and at a very fair price.  2 other companies quoted me $7,000 to rebuild the cesspool.  Ron did mine at $5,000.  Sames as my friend too.  
I asked him questions about the low price, quality of materials, etc.   He basically said he does all the work himself instead of paying a lot of extra guys to do the work.  When he rebuilt the cesspool, he had a few guys help while he ran the backhoe, but he was there every minute of the job.  I even took took pictures of the cesspool rings and their stamped logo before they went in to the ground in case I had a problem later; that didn't seem to bother him at all.
When he fixed the broken trap pipe, he was the one tearing our the old pipe and putting in the new one, not his assistant who was with him.
I think Ron is the type of guy who is content running a small business himself, his way.  He's just a good guy making a living and I hope he's very successful doing so.

Ron responded immediately to my email and arranged a meeting with my son.  He assessed the situation, then came and did a thorough job fixing my problem.  I am so pleased, I can't begin to say.
Any question I had was answered immediately.  I found that very reassuring.  They are just about the most pleasant company I have ever had the pleasure to deal with.

The roto rooter was done in one day... The draining/unclogging of the pipes. He made an appointment with me to return to pump out the cesspool and apply the two chemicals - which he did. Overall I was very pleased with the job..he was on time, efficient and very pleasant. I would recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

As soon as I called they came right out. They finished the job quickly and the work was done well. I am very happy with the service.

They did a great job.  Fully explained the ancient system we had and the fact that we had no overflow.  They were prompt and were in and out in a couple of hours.  Would definitely use them again.

They came out and we talked and they never got back to me again. I never got a quote from them. They were pretty responsive when I spoke to them so that was good. They did come out and look at everything and had good information but then they just didn't do anything beyond that. I don't know if I would contact them again.

I bought a wonderful old house built in 1918 in Bay Shore last summer.  Although we love the house, we knew that it had water issues in the basement due to the water table in the area (we are about 1/4 mile from the ocean). 
I first used Bill Simon's Healthy Basement Systems to put in new sump pumps to remove the water- we went from one pump to two pumps.  They did a very good job on the internal basement system. However, they then installed a drywell that was way too small for the property, which immediately started overflowing.   
Healthy Basement Systems then contracted with  Building Structures Unlimited to install a replacement drywell.  They installed a 260 gallon precast concrete drywell, which once again proved to be too small for the property.  The contractor admitted that he did not put gravel around that drywell, as "it would have been more expensive," which is a no-no in drywells.
Please note- It REALLY pays to get estimates- please note the difference below in prices.
I contacted Building Structures Unlimited  for an estimate to upgrade this drywell- they proposed installing two 4x4 drywells, and said that if these drywells were not big enough, I could just keep littering my yard with more small drywells.  They also did not think it was important to put gravel around the drywell, when everything I read online said it was very important.  They wanted to charge $3,000.00 for this job.
I then checked Angie's list and I found Evergreen Cesspool.  Thank God!  Ron was an amazing professional. He saw the overflowing small drywell and immediately said I needed two very large, 4x8 foot drywells side by side.  He put gravel all around them, put a fabric around them so they would not fill with sand, and then two eight inch thick cement covers on the dry wells which "could hold a truck" in case someone ever drove on that part of the property.  He then removed all extra dirt and  covered up the entire job.  The entire huge job was done between 8:00am and 3:00pm.  The new dry wells work perfectly- and he only charged $3,100, the same price that the other guy wanted for a much smaller job!
I also asked Ron, since he was there with his dump trick and shovel, to remove a large pile of old dirt in the yard that the previous owners had left there.  He did this cheerfully and only charged $100.00 plus the dumping fees (he does not have control over these) of $300.00.for 20 yards of dirt.
He is an absolute gentleman and really knows his stuff.  I will not hesitate to use him again and I plan to tell everyone in our neighborhood about this great service!

The guy was phenomenal.  He does phenomenal work.  He is the most pleasant guy I've ever worked with.  He is so honest.  He is the most honest guy to deal with in business.

I called Evergreen on a Thursday night and Ron (the owner) came first thing Friday morning to assess the situation and give me an estimate.  He was extremely, nice, professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything in detail that he would do.  I felt very comfortable with him, the price was very reasonable, and I agreed to the work.  They came on Monday and did a great job taking care not to disturb the nearby planting beds while working in a tight area.  They made sure to leave the dug up in-ground sprinkler lines pulled up to make it easier for the sprinkler company to find all the broken lines to repair.  I was very satisfied and highly recommend Evergreen.

The sewer line from my house to the street had collapsed and I was totally shut down and not able to flush toilets or run water. The first company I hired and rated A on Angies List and by the BBB jerked me around for 2 weeks until I canceled the job with them.
That brings me to Evergreen Custom Cesspool and the owner Ron.  We called him on a Thursday,  he arrived in a few hours to assess the problem, called the town on Friday and completed the job on Tuesday.
Ron was honest , gave a good price and was present for the entire job.

He is a very good guy and I would definitely recommend him. We were experiencing terrible weather that winter but he still came out to help me and did outstanding work. Ronald Sass is highly professional.

They have also invested in purchasing great equipment to do their work. They were prices were just about the same as everyone else's, however their references were exceptional.
