This company did some work in my basement. It was done in a timely manor and professionally. They work quick and cleaned up after themselves. I am 100% satisfied with the work.

Hired Greg for a full gut and remodel of a bathroom. Greg was very competent, personable, and took the time to understand exactly what we wanted. He made us feel like we were in good hands. He took the time to make sure things were done the right way. The result was top notch, couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely use this company again!

They were very professional. Arrived on time, completed the work in two days as promised. The price was reasonable and they cleaned up everything. The two men were very friendly. Go on their website and see before and after pictures of the deck. We are very pleased and would hire them for our next job. William and Virginia Potts of Centereach

Update to my posting below. I was able to get an itemized accounting of the expenses. Things were charged appropriately. I did encounter a number of problems in the remodeled bathroom that became apparent over time. Greg did work to fix everything. In the end, I have a nice bathroom remodel. It was very difficult working with Greg, who is an otherwise nice guy. The project took much longer than estimated and the cost was 4x the estimate, which was not precise, so I knew that there would be extra expense - just not that much. I am not confident that I paid an appropriate amount because I was never, despite many requests, able to get interim invoices of the work and justification for the cost increases. The final invoice listed just a final amount with almost no justifications. The final invoice was not even final in that another came, claiming nearly $1,500 more was owed. There were numerous problems, and I had to contact Greg to get his attention for - things like staining a rug in an adjacent room, wall and ceiling scrapes and dirt in adjacent areas, not using tarps to protect areas, and other errors like the tub was not secured to the flooring. When the work was pronounced done, I found that electrical outlets in another room had been disrupted so that I had no service, nails had been driven through the remodel room wall into the adjacent room, and the custom medicine cabinets had been installed upside down (and could not be reinstalled without damaging them). Greg uses subcontractors, also nice guys, but sometimes they do not show and other times (at least a dozen), they or the primary crew left my front door unlocked (when I was not home). In the end, I have a nice, remodeled bathroom but think that the job could have been done better, quicker, and possibly for less cost.

"Hello Katherine, since this was a lengthy post I decided to tackle each topic one by one and hopefully come to an understanding. I just want to start off by saying we have never and will never use subcontractors in any Greg Home Improvement remodeling job except for the ones that are needed (electric & plumbing). In regards to leaving the door unlocked, I completely understand the concern and when it was brought to my attention that this happened, I relayed the message to my crew immediately. In terms of the ?longer times and 4x the cost? by us having to use electricians and plumbers, we have to work in line with their schedule. Work cannot be continued on our end until the plumbers and electricians are done. There was also more of a delay due to special orders, holidays and your vacation time. In response to the stained rugs, we always cover up any floors with plastic and drop cloths. At the time we were working with chalk-line and unfortunately, the dust seeped through and stained the rug. It was stated that it would be fixed by us and it was and I specifically recall you being especially surprised and pleased with the result! ?Wall and ceiling scrapes,? since this was an area where there was heavy foot traffic for several months, accidental bumps on walls and ceilings are not always 100% avoidable. After the concern was brought to our attention we said we would take care of the situation by spackling, sanding and painting the area at no extra cost to you. When the concern of the tub not being secured to the floor was brought to our attention, the job was not completely done so that would be the reasoning for that, not due to negligence on our part. In terms of the electrical outlets, that is something that the electricians should have taken care of and put back. However I do take responsibility for that because at the end of the day, I should have doubled checked and made sure that their job was done the right way and for that I apologize. With regard to the ?medicine cabinet being installed upside down,? we had asked you how you wanted the door to open PRIOR to installation. You asked for our professional opinion and it was recommended that the side medicine cabinet should open away from the front mirror and for that to happen it would have to be installed the way it was to prevent the cabinet door from possibly hitting the mirror and causing damage. In the matter of ?interim invoices and explanations for prices in the final invoice then $1500 with no details,? as I explained to you then the issue of ?$1500? was because whoever the electrician was before I took this job, drilled the holes for the wires way too close to the sheetrock therefore there was no way for me to know that when I drilled a screw in there, that it would hit a wire. Since there was extra work to be done having the electricians come once more and extra labor from me, there was an additional $1,425.38 that was added DETAILED AND WRITTEN in the proposal dated 3/1/2020. In the end, the last payment was received without the amended price of $1,425.38. I then sent you a text message regarding it a couple days later to reiterate the price that was already provided to you. I always detail and itemize my invoices, if you wanted a more SPECIFICALLY itemized invoice all you needed to do was ask and I would have happily complied! I have many jobs going on at one time, and always try my best to communicate and provide the best customer service I can to my clients! I am so sorry if that was not your experience but I just wanted to clarify and thank you for choosing us to remodel your bathroom, glad you enjoy it."

Very pleased with this company. Greg was very personable. And his workmen were very respectful. They paid attention to what I wanted. The overall appearance of everything was perfect. The tiles were beautifully set in by Israel. Overall all of them were anxious to please and I cannot find fault with anything they did.

Greg & his team did a wonderful job on my renovation project, with exceptional marks for honesty and communication. Pricing was fair, and there was always confidence in the work itself: it's clear that Greg brought a tremendous amount of experience to the project, and he consistently ensured that work was done correctly (down to every last detail). I could not ask for a more reliable and honest person to deal with! Additionally, the scope of work changed on our project due to additional requests we had (our decision to re-do walls, install new lights, etc.) yet there was never any worry or concern on unfair pricing. Greg gets five-stars, and we will definitely work together again in the future.

I’m Very happy with my newly renovated rooms done by Greg and his crew, Master bedroom with an en-suite and a 2nd bedroom, both with walk-in closets , The whole crew were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous throughout the whole job. I know that Reno jobs always have the unexpected and hidden problems. But Greg and Greg’s crew never overreacted. They always may me feel relaxed and that it was “No Problem”. “Construction without stress, who would of thought that possible!” I give them a 10

Bathroom - Remodel
They cut a corner by not waterproofing the shower pan when remodeling the upstairs bathroom. This was actually told to me by one of the employees who had told the owners son that waterproofing was necessary. Shower leaked and destroyed the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom. There were tiles in the shower that were cracked and had to be replaced. There s one tile they would not replace because it would ruin the drywall behind the tile. The owner stated it s ok, you can t even see it . After the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom was replaced caused by the leak, painting was needed. The employee stated that the owner wanted him to only paint the ceiling and 1-2 feet on the walls. I had to tell the contractor you can t leave the bathroom with clear paint lines from fresh and previous paint. That would look rediculous. After the contractors employee left on day 4 after painting the ceiling and walls, I could visibly see paint running down the walls. There was also an area on the wall where the employee clearly painted over the dust from sanding the drywall. Needless to say, I had to go to Home Depot and purchase paint to repair and repaint the walls. What s the worse part is that the Owner ( Greg ) never even said I m sorry for the entire disaster that should have been avoided in the first place if the job was completed correctly in the. The contractor left their large pieces of drywall in my backyard that I had break up, put in contractor bags and throw away. The Owner never came by to inspect the completed work, he was only at the house to see the leak coming through the floor boards after the ceiling was opened up. This contractor was chosen because of previous reviews. We re very disappointed in their work.
Response from

"We are extremely sorry to hear that you were so unreleased with our work. As you can see from our other customers, that is not their experience and it is most definitely not our way of treating our customers. As you will note, the first time you called to inform me about what was happening, I arrived to rectify the situation the very next day and was very clear on the steps that needed to be taken in order to fix the leak and repair the ceiling. As for the waterproofing we did not cut corners because we have never done that, we have not had any issues up to this point. As for the debris I took everything the day before and I was not informed by my worker that there were a couple pieces of Sheetrock left. As for the paint dripping even though my worker should not have left it that way in the first place you could have stopped him and told him to correct it before he left. In your negative review, you mentioned only the negative things that you experienced but never mentioned the positive ones, such as my customer service when I answered your call the first time then being at your house the next morning addressing the situation. I understand that when people are frustrated with a situation like you have experienced they just talk about the bad and not the good. I don't think it is fair that you wrote a bad review to put a permanent mark on my reputation that was earned with dedication and respect to every customer. Please Mr. Greg reconsider your decision of posting that review that it will hurt my reputation, we did everything in our power to please you as we end up removing the entire ceiling plus the original one that was not affected. I never once gave you no for an answer. Also I do not know why you said that you paid for the paint at Home Depot when it was I who paid for it, but nevertheless I cannot change the past but I can only make a better path for the future. I am truly sorry for the troubles that you have gone through with Greg Home Improvement. If you do ever choose to call us again, I can personally guarantee you will not be disappointed again. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you, Greg Estevez Greg Home Improvement Inc."
