Crossfield Heating & Air Conditioning

We had done a lot of research and once the work was done we were very happy with them. We had referred them to one of our colleagues and they informed us that they were very happy with the services provided by them too. They were in the building and we didn't even know they were here. They were very efficient. We had an old water heater in the basement and they carried that out for us at no extra charges. They took it with them with the old heating equipment at no extra charges.

Though we received a cheaper quote from another company, they seemed to be the most knowledgable about the product and service they were providing. I also liked the warranty service they offered to us. They were always prompt and courteous whenever we dealt with them. Would highly recommend their service to others.

They got the air conditioning unit working for us and checked everything.

Crossfield completely removed our old heating and air equipment and installed new equipment from Everrest. They did this with minimal disruption to our daily routine and in only one day start to finish. We couldn't be happier, they were professional all the way and the install is first class. I am very picky and am completely happy with their work. I definitely recommend Crossfield and will use them in the future for all my HVAC needs.

They are a great company. They are on time and they are always here when they say they will be. They are clean and very respectful of our property. I can't say enough about them. Their prices are average; they are not above or below. I will absolutely continue using them.

Crossfield was very responsive and professional throughout the entire engagement. The primary contact was Bart DiProspero. We contacted Crossfield for a routine service call on a 25+ year old system. On his first vist, Bart took a quick look at the existing system and told us that it should be replaced - which wasn't a real surprise, given how old it was. He explained why he made that recommendation, including reliability, comfort, energy efficiency, tax rebates and a current promotion that Crossfield was running. He answered all of our questions fully and clearly. He explained the NYS energy audit program, the RGand E rebate and made the follow up appointments necessary to get everything done. After listening to the issues we had with the old system (hot and cold areas) and completing a thorough load analysis, he recommended the specific equipment. Again, he explained his recommendations cleary. He explained the options that were available and why he would or would not recommend each of them. As a result, I think we ended up with the right system for what we needed and avoided extra cost options that we really do not need. We had 4 separate teams in for the 4 parts of the job. Bart coordinated each visit and showed up each time to make sure everything went as scheduled. Each group was on time for each appointment, did their work quickly and as far as I can tell did it well, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Bart took care of the paperwork required to qualify for the RGand E rebate, and came back for a final visit to fine tune the air flow in each room. The final cost was as quoted and the system seems to be working well.

I have used them for years and I would rate them well. They are prompt, thorough and the people who come to the house are nice.

It was pretty expensive. They were very knowledgeable and very responsive. We had used other providers and when compared to others they have lot of integrity in their approach and recommendation.

The salesman knew what he was talking about; they gave me a fair price on their top of the line model. The installers were proficient in what they did. They did a good job of working hard. I was very impressed with Crossfield and will do business with them again.

Professional technician. Took care to keep the carpeting clean. Came quickly. Nice work though a bit more expensive than I thought.

Good company. Professional. Worked with us to get all the tax credits that were available - which some of the other companies we talked to didn't mention one of the credit programs. They were very professional. We had a minor water drip a couple months later which they quickly came and fixed. I'd highly recommend them.

It went well. We had several companies give us estimates; Crossfield was in the middle. We knew from both research and experience that the installation was the difference in how well things worked. Were pleased with their work and professionalism.

I called early one afternoon and their sales person arrived that day. He returned the next day with a quote and comprehensive explanation of the work to be done. He also presented a financing offer which I accepted. The only hitch I felt was being told that the price was only good the day it was presented.

They could only come during hours I was at work, but they called me a half hour before they were going to arrive, so I could get home to meet them. I thought that was great! None of that horrible, "we'll be there between 8am and noon". And, the guy was on time. Wonderful! He asked me the specifics of my problems and got right work. He found where the leak was coming from and determined that the pipes had a clog. He got it unclogged fairly quickly. Unfortunately, they do not work on Bosch on demand hot water heaters, so he couldn't help me with that. That was pretty disappointing. I wish I would have know that before I had them come out. But, other than that, great job!

They were very thorough with the heat loss analysis and spent a lot of time going through it with us. We got three estimates from different companies and liked them all, but utimately went with Crossfield because it was the least expensive and had glowing referrences. They did a great job and were very neat, cleaning up afterwards. Before they started,they showed me where the vents would come out of the exterior of the house to make sure I was ok with it. They have been in contact since to make sure we were pleased.

The furnace was about eight years old. Some moisture had built up and caused some of the heat exchange to rust. They needed to replace it; it wasn't a warranty replacement.

I call and they come quickly. I pay an annual fee that covers a once a year check up and cleaning. I haven't had any problems for a long time which I attribute to them.

Crossfield was very good about keeping to their schedule and being flexible around mine (and my tenant s). They came out to check on a heating problem and determined one furnace was in bad shape and the other was on its way out. They explained everything in detail (over the phone and in person) about the problems and about my choices. They had exact figures when they called, and were able to get the job scheduled for the next morning. The work appears top notch and they didn't cut corners because they were rental units. After a few days they called to make sure everything was OK and to see if I had any questions. I did, and they were able to answer them right away. I didn't get other quotes, but I feel confident I got a fair price and I'm very pleased with the work and the organization. I would recommend them.

I had to buy a new furnace, not an easy decision to make. But Crossfield Heating was great. The representative came on time and explained all the available options. The installers came on the day promised, at the time promised, installed a new furnace and air, conditioner, took away the old ones and cleaned up immaculately. They made certain that I understood the operation and the thermostat before they left. I could not have had a better experience.

I really like this company's responsiveness, professional quality, and their knowledge. We had called them before about the possibility of installing an air conditioning unit and they came out and told us with that with the furnace that we have it would not be a good idea to put one it. They said that in order to install the air conditioner that we wanted we would need a two stage furnace. I really appreciated their honesty because I am sure a lot of other companies would have just told us that it was okay to put in the air conditioner in order to make more money.

They came out quickly and got the job done fast. I thought they did a good job. The thermostat works fine. I thought they were a little pricey. The good part was he already had the parts on his truck that we needed.

Company called ahead. Representative arrived right on time. Performed the work quickly and efficiently. Explained everything to homeowner.

Pete, the technician, did a very professional installation and was very neat. The second floor unit does condition the entire upstairs, as Ken predicted. We anticipate being very comfortable this summer with the air conditioning and saving a significant amount per year in heating costs versus the baseboard resistance heating. The unit on the first floor controls the humidity well and will also save in heating costs during heating season. We were very pleased with Ken and Pete and would recommend Crossfield.

Overall I would say the installers we good. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. They also cleaned up the work site after the work was completed. The installation of the heat pump outside the house, and the air handler inside the house, went very well and I was happy with the work. However, a small part of the work I wanted done was to re-route an existing duct. The installers removed the old duct and ran a new duct, which was fine. However, they forget to cap the old duct so I was left with a hole in the duct work that was blowing out cold air. Not a big problem, but an oversight on their part. Also, while they taped the new duct run they did not tape the seam of the duct where it connected to the plenum chamber, leaving small holes where air was escaping. Again, not a big problem, but a problem non the less. Overall I was happy with the work except for the two minor problems with the duct work.

We have been doing business with Crossfield Heating & A/C for a while. The service call was quick, but thorough. They come out as soon as possible during emergency situations, too. We would highly recommend them to others.
