They, thankfully, were willing to come on a weekend evening (at a higher but reasonable price) to resolve the main line sewer backup. I've had this problem occur before due to roots in the line. High pressure jetting cleared the line. However, another backup happened again about five days later. Again they responded promptly and used a camera to find that some persistent roots that had survived the first line cleaning. After thoroughly cleaning the main line again with high pressure jetting the problem was taken care of. Rotor-Matic stood by their work warranty and there was no charge for the second trip although it took about an hour and a half. Jason also made some excellent and helpful suggestions for preventing future problems. Everyone was pleasant, courteous and professional. (Yes, masks were worn at all times).

Everything is working fine now.

I had a blockage in my sewer line due to pieces of the cast iron pipe breaking and getting caught in the underground trap. Charlie blew out the blockage with high pressure. Jason arrived about 15 minutes after Charlie and left to get a replace boot for the section of pipe Charlie had to cut out. Charlie was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why.

They were great at communicating. Got me on the books very quick, then had an opening even sooner so was able to get the work done quicker than anticipated. Very professional, courteous and thorough. Would hire again without question.

Jason arrived, walked the property, identified most likely cause of basement flooding, and provided an estimate. Tom arrived a few days later and jetted tree roots out of my exterior gravity footing drain.

Excellent. I requested a quote on December 10 2018. I received a call within 2 hours of putting the request in. A plumber was at my house that afternoon. Tom was excellent, on time and extremely courteous. I would hire again.

After wasting $700 over a 2-day nightmare with another company (International Plumbing), this one was a pleasure! Tom got here quickly and within 30 minutes the problem was fixed for half of what we paid the first company, AND he gave us a 90 day warranty. He was pleasant even though it was late on a Saturday during the Christmas shopping season. We will call him again in a minute if needed.

After 11 years my home with no previous flooding problems, I suddenly had 25" of water in my basement overnight. My regular plumber couldn't fit me in so recommended Rotor-Matic. They came promptly and made several more visits over the next week to pump out the basement, set up a sump pump, and ultimately excavate around my foundation to locate the basement perimeter drain and its "daylight" outlet. They ended up having to do more digging than they originally thought, but honored their original estimate. Upon examination with a camera the drain was totally occluded with roots/silt so they jetted it out until clear. They also installed an extra daylight outlet from the first floor foundation drain. Charlie and Jason were clearly very knowledgeable and explained everything they were doing. So now, even after a five-hour heavy rainstorm a few nights later, my basement remained bone dry. Would highly recommend this company for anyone with similar problems. Maybe not the cheapest in their field, but the lowest bidder is rarely the best option anyway. Overall I think their charges were reasonable in comparison to what it might have cost me had the problem not been pinpointed so promptly and resolved so professionally. Tom Semago, owner, came on the same day I called and went right to work cutting through tree roots that were blocking the line. He is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We will be hiring him for replacement of a cast iron pipe in the basement & I’ll report back on that. I highly recommend him.

Charlie from Rotor-matic arrived approximately 2 hours after I called the company on a Friday. All drains were badly clogged. Charlie assessed the situation, snaked the toilet and the tub, then checked the cellar and advised me that snaking would not work. There was a blockage in one of the basement pipes that was preventing all drains from clearing. We agreed that he would return on Monday with the appropriate new pipe section to install. He did not charge me for the snaking of the tub. Charlie returned on Monday as planned, replaced the problem pipe, and ensured that all drains were working properly, which they were. I believe they give you a 90 day guaranty on the work. He was efficient, polite, and explained everything. I was satisfied with the cost, although I forgot to ask for the Angie's discount. I would definitely use this plumbing service again, and I would also ask for Charlie.

Two staff members showed up when they said they would be there. Very professional and courteous demeanor. Snaked the drain very quickly. Provided recommendation for product when I asked them if there was something I could do to reduce the likelihood of drain clogging again. I'm very satisfied.

Plumber had some trouble finding drain cleanout (under living room floor). Blockage of tree roots were found at around 60 feet. A month later I called them again for the same problem, they came within an hour and now the drain is clear.

The tub was ankle deep. We called them at 3:00 and they arrived within 30 minutes. They were finished in half an hour. Great job.

Generally good as the drain got cleared. The problem here was that they assessed that though they were able to clear out the drain the backup was caused by a suspected disconnect where of the drain pipe from the sewer which seemed to occur 50 feet out, which would be the middle of the street. They told me I would need an additional procedure with a camera to determine more but they did not have that technology. However, they said they could refer this task to a firm that works in tandem with them if I was interested. I agreed but there was no follow up! Since they could not fully assess the source of the problem, I was told that their regular 3 month guarantee would be reduced to 30 days. Fortuneately, we haven't had a recurrence but I am left with the question as to whether I will need the camera analysis. I have decided to see if the problem reoccurs and if so I will look to use a company that can leave me feeling that the problem has been identified and fixed.

Very well. Efficient and professional. Very informative with the matter. Made some good suggestions to prevent the matter from being as messy if it happens again. Did a great job cleaning up when the job was done.

Crew readjusted the line in the cellar and refit the rubber connector from plastic drain line to the outgoing water line. Suggestions were made to limit the water used and the amount of soap used in the laundry loads to decrease the bubbling in the line during the spin cycle. The two man crew was very knowledgeable and carried out their work quickly , efficiently and with a pleasant demeanor.

Not well. They fixed a crack in the main line pipe (with PVC) that needed repairing and so far so good (although another technician said it looks like it may be on backwards). However, they did not address the systemic problem with the backup of water in our washer, which is what we called them for in the first place. Three weeks later, because they did not snake the line all the way to the other side of the house, I called Mr. Semago to address that underlying issue -- again. He was going to New York and couldn't help; said he didn't want to give me to a contractor (to his credit), but that I'd have to wait until Monday, as it was on the weekend. My family and I were left stranded without the ability to cook, shower, or wash. On top of the $435, then, I had to spend another $315 to get Roto Rooter to fix the second back up that Saturday morning. Mr. Semago chided me for calling them, as they "were too expensive." I called Mr. Semago and asked him to compensate me for at least $100 of the second bill, to maintain good customer relations. I called him several times, and each time he said he would drop it off, but he never did. That was a month ago. I am now contemplating whether or not I should take him to Small Claims Court to recover ALL of that $315 fee. The paperwork looks a little daunting, but I've always been successful in that endeavor. This is very unfortunate, because he seemed like such a nice person -- however, I am a widow, and felt taken advantage of. This is just not right. I should have known by the disastrous, chaotic look of his service truck. Always judge a man by his tools!!!!
