"Although I missed the unusual construction on the first inspection, I did inform him about it and that it would be difficult to do a complete job. I offered him the option of not going forward but he decided to go on."
"On this particular review, I disappoint myself because I disappointed the homeowners. They are very nice people. Although I don't agree with everything they said, any unhappiness means I failed them. I called to discuss the rating with them and to help. After all, it was my fault. I want to own up to it. The length was longer because I was not always able to work because of there schedule, and I did not finish the cleanup to their standards. If I felt the rating was unfair I would say. But in this case - it was deserved."
"From the beginning, I knew I was going to have trouble with this girl. Her mother told me from the beginning that she was hard to live with. She is pregnant and had to move back home. It is my policy that I never pick out the paint in spite of the fact that the daughter picked out the paint the day I got there to start she complained about the colour and was irritated with me because I stated if I could not paint it would cost her additional money. What she failed to mention was that the agreement was that the furniture was supposed to be cleared out, it wasn't, it is very difficult to apply an even cost when you have to constantly stop and move furniture. The contract was for a single coat I put on two. Before I left I knew the daughter, not the mother, was not happy. I stated in no uncertain terms I would stay and fix anything they were unhappy with. You just can't please some people. Just look at the rest of my reviews does this same as the same company."
"The first stage of the project was to assemble lawn furniture. when i bid the job I did not open the box because I was concerned that pieces might go missing i wanted to keep the box intact until the day I started the job. When I read the instructions it recommended two people to assemble, I was alone. I did try to assemble, I spent about two hours trying to understand the instructions which left a lot to be desired. despite poor instructions I was making head way however It became appearent to me that working alone I was more likely than not to cause harm to his furniture. I informed the homeowner that I was unable to accomplish and offered to return his $20 deposit. He stated that was unnecessary as I had done some work, albeit without completing the task. So in the main he is correct I was unable to complete however as I stated I was willing to return him to a position of no harm"
"Now this is a strange review, just think this over for a minute. If I installed shelves in your home and you had a problem with their height wouldn't you have said something. I went over the height with the customer and she said the height was fine. Additionally to operate the bottom shelf took a little more effort then the other two shelves. I pointed this out to her and she stated it was fine, as long as she could operate it, I was not trying to hide anything from her.. So I am a little taken aback by her comments. It is true that I had to read the instructions that came with the shelves but isn't that the norm when installing something that you did not manufacture. Every brand is different, every brand is put together differently. The fact is I read the instructions and installed the shelves. If I had not installed them there would not be any discussion about having to remove them. So again I am baffled by her comments. It is possible that the walls got scratched a little but the customer is not letting you know how tight the shelving was in the space provided. The door opening was smaller than the width of the shelves, to install them I had to put the shelves in one at a time on their side and them turn them right side up to install the second shelf. It is no wonder that the walls took a little hit. But a little touch up paint would do the job in any event. This customer had confided to me that she had been waiting a long time for her pantry because she could not find anyone to install the shelves. So I wonder who is going to uninstall them and then reinstall them. Please just use your common sense, when you read the comments from this customer."
