When the salesperson came to our home on December 28, 2013,  I was excited about our purchase.  He sold us on this "Champion Comfort Seal foam" that works so much better than Fiberglass.  He sold us a delivery date in 3 to 4 weeks.  He sold us 7 regular windows and one window for the bathroom.  I was especially excited about the bathroom window because we had to cover that window with a shower curtain.  The new window would be surrounded by PVC framing.  It was supposed to look really nice - no wood.
On February 1, 2014 the workers came to our home and did a really poor job. It took them and extremely long time to do 8 windows.
On February 3, 2014 I contacted the Champion office and talked with the installation manager about the very bad install. Not only did the workers leave cigarette butts, metal shavings, nails and screws in my driveway, on my roof, and around the perimeter of my home but I also did not get what was promised.  First they charged me for lead testing that was never done. The craftsmanship of the job was poor. (When they took out the wood surrounding the windows they did not replace them so that they sit flush.  There are gaps and lifts in the wood).  Champion Comfort Seal Foam was supposed to be used and instead they used fiberglass.  When I told the worker that foam should be used he told me that it was okay and that they do this all the time.  When I told them that no wood was to be left around the window in the bathroom they stated that they had not been notified of that and were only prepared to put the window in, not do any extra work.
After numerous calls to the office and speaking to the installation manager and the division manager I was promised that the work would be corrected.  The date to correct all of my problems was set for February 17, 2014.  I was told by the Division Manager, Rich Kirnan, that the Installation Manager would come out to personally oversee the work.  The workers were supposed to arrive at 9am.  I got a call stating that the workers would be 2 hours late.  The workers came by three hours later.  They did not have the proper materials and had to make a run to Lowes.  The installation Manager did not come.  When they returned with foam that they had bought at Lowes and pvc that was supposed to cover the inside of the  bathroom window, I called the office again and spoke to Rich Beal, the installation manager.  He told me that this is the foam that they use all of the time.  I told him that it is not what I was sold.  I told him that I have the brochure and everything.  He told me that regular foam would be used.  The workers must not have purchased enough PVC because there are large gaps that they have tried to cover by using large amounts of caulk.
I called the office and notified the installation manager of the poor job that was done again.  He had no reply.
All of my windows show poor workmanship.  I still have not received the product that I purchased.  My windows look worse than they did before I replaced them.  I have been waiting to hear from Champion management and no one has gotten back with me.
Dealing with Champion has been the worst experience that I have had.  Think twice before hiring Champion.

to the manager about rescheduling and have him call me.it needed to be warm. The workmanship was poor.
Response to our complaints slow.  Immediately needed sliding glass door replaced. Ceiling was not installed properly and now is saggy in spots.
The first snow storm in February 2012, snow came in around all the windows and at the base. We called and by now there was new management and employees. They came out and said that the windows were never insulated around the edges and supposedly they fixed them. They said the snow on the floor fell from the windows! Wrong! They agreed that the lock on sliding glass door was not working right and poked at it with a screw driver which just bent and scratched it and did not fix it.
Winter of 2013 the snow came in again, slightly less. The next group of NEW management came and looked. They said they couldn't come out till April to fix it because it needed to be warm.  They came out and again supposedly fixed the insulation around the windows. They agreed the sliding glass door was not working right.
Winter of 2013-2014. The snow has come in again Twice. I called the first time and raised a ruckus and the manager (guess what, a New guy), agreed to send someone out to look at 9AM the next morning since I told him I would be leaving the house at 11AM.
They never showed. I received a call at noon from the man who was coming to set a time for his visit that afternoon. He said the manager had never told him he was suppose to be there at 9AM.
He was going to speak to the manager and have him call me. I'm still waiting and the snow has come in a second time. I didn't even call about it but I have pictures of each episode.
I almost forgot about the gap between the subfloor and the walls that my husband had to fill up so it wouldn't fill with dirt and dust.
Champion Windows---Poor workmanship, Poor poor product quality, Poor customer service.

They were very expensive and they seemed to have a reliable product, good quality for that but they did not have the ability to really do what we were looking for. They were essentially just a door provider. I didn't have any problem with giving me the quote or talking to the individual except that the services just didn't meet my need. They lack the ability to do what we were looking for and they had an excessive price.

Their quote was the most absurd of all.  They were professional and on time.  Their price was high.

They were good overall!  Time wise, they were great in coming in.  We had no issues with that at all. It was $1,000 for both windows.

Called for a roof estimate and they responded quickly. Sales person arrived on time and was very pleasant. He gave a lengthy, detailed description of their processes. Their price was the highest of 4 quotes that we received. Did not use them for the job.

They did a great job installing a sunroom  onto our already existing
porch. The manager made a very good estimate of the job to be done,
explained everything very well, and did work with us on the price. (It
was a bit more than the estimate we had gotten from another company, but
we decided to go with them because we felt the quality of the glass
would be better).  They worked with us on the dates of installation and
did everything on time and with excellent quality.  I felt comfortable
discussing the project  with them and was glad to see that it was going
the way the manager had described it. The builders were very friendly
and promised to come to install window blinds in summer if I still feel
that I need them at that time. I was quite touched that the manager,
during his last visit - right after the job was finished -  even gave us
a small gift card to pay for the home address tiles that had gotten
destroyed while they were taking out the existing poles.  We didn't
expect that, and this was a very nice touch.
We also appreciated how meticulously both the manager and the office staff kept track of the
progress over the phone - I never had to call to push them to do
anything.  They all were very courteous and professional - and that is
not something one encounters every day.  In our experience, they really
stand out as an excellent business model. We will definitely recommend
them to anyone we know who needs these services.

I already had an existing back porch, which consisted of a concrete slab (18'X24') and a solid roof (which had/has skylights in it). This porch was already screened in but we wanted to make it into an all-season room so we could use it year round. We had spoken with several "enclosure" companies and had several estimates done. However we were looking for "particulars". When we spoke with SCOTT BARANAUSKAS- the salesman at Champion, he assured us that all of our "particulars" could and would be met. So although they were more expensive than the others, I feel (typically) you get what you pay for. Except this time.
Scott told us once the project was under way that it should not take more than two weeks- tops. Paperwork was signed in February. When I called at the end of March, I was told they were waiting on the building permit. The building permit was issued on 04/12/2011. The project began shortly thereafter. The final walk through was on 05/21/2011. Thats over 5 weeks! And even then it was only completed because I called the headquarters to find out why this project was taking so long. The female that I spoke with assured me that it would be complete within the week. (After I spoke with her, Scott called me to inform me that it was not necessary to call the headquarters and that they would get it done as quickly as they could. Interestingly, we never saw or heard from him again.)
There were many issues involved in why it may have taken so long. We live an hour from the Rochester facility. They kept telling us that "it was such a long drive". (You knew that when we signed the papers.) Therefore the installer didn't get there (on the days he actually came) until late morning and left early afternoon. I spoke with him and he informed me that they were "short handed". And he had been assigned to another project at the same time.
They had to sub-contract out the electric, since the installer was apparently not a certified electrician. However the electrician they had come in could only stay one day. He was not able to complete all the electric, leaving the remainder to the installer. We have had many issues with the electric in this room. Because of the sloppy install on the breakers (its loose in the box), it trips frequently.
They also hired a carpet installer to install the carpet. Scott had assured us there would be a thick pad under the carpet so that the coldness from the concrete would not be felt. Wrong. Also along the edges of the wall, the carpet is unraveling. It can be seen along the edge where the carpet is not attached to the floor or a strip.
After approx. 6 months, we noticed a crack in the sheet rock over one of the windows. After we went through one winter, we noticed a very large "buckle" in the sheet rock over top of another window. I understand "settling", but as I said, the concrete pad and the roof were existing. They did however remove the original posts that were holding the roof up and installed different ones. Initially the room looks great, but on closer inspection, many flaws can be seen. After paying $25000.00 for this room, how long is it going to last?
Interesting too is the fact that to this day- we have never recieved a phone call from SCOTT BARANAUSKAS, the Rochester office or even the Champion headquarters to find out if we are saitisfied with the results.

FANTASTIC!! Don Miller was my salesman. I would encourage anyone in the Rochester, NY area interested in new windows to use Don and Champion. Don's sales presentation was thorough and professional. Price negotiation was straight forward and exteremely professional. Price was very competitive with other high end window suppliers. Champion's windows are well designed and built to last. The energy efficency rating of the Champion window was on par with or exceeded competitors' products.

The install crew led by Dave Whaley did an excellent job. I was very impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail as they installed, insulated, sealed, and even cleaned each of the windows.  Don came by at the end of the installation and personally inspected each and every window, inside and out! We were extremely pleased with every aspect of this job.
