Moving
Horrible. I lived in an apt. bldg. and they dropped off a 28ft trailer in the parking lot . The closest they could leave it to the loading area was over 300ft. from the loading door. So that meant instead of 2 men @ $200 pr. hour, I was told I now had to use 3 of their movers and it took them 6 1/2 hrs.! I called them and asked for a break on the price and all they gave me was "It states 28 ft in your contract."
Also, I got a call from the driver who came to pick up the trailer and he told me the security wall in the trailer was not installed and if he had driven away like that all my stuff would have crashed! They loaded my $3,000 coffee table with boxes piled to the ceiling ON TOP of it and guess what? It broke! DUH? You have to do all the coordinating between Upack, the guys who move you, and the trucking company yourself. Make notes because you'll have a different a/c # for each company and they don't talk to each other. I haven't submitted my claim for the table to Upack yet but I'm sure their going to try to screw me on that, too. DON'T USE THEM!
Here's an update: I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Upak is assuming no responsibility for ANYTHING. However, they are offering me $4.00 (four) for my $2,400 coffee table that they broke. WOOHOO!
