Fernando was responsive in the beginning and was quick to provide a fair estimate.  From the time we agreed to proceed with the work until the work was actually started took a little longer than I would have wanted (approx. 3 weeks) but was happy with the end result.  Unfortunately Fernando was not good at communicating because I never knew when things were going to happen and had people just show up randomly to start ripping out my old lawn - and it was left bare for about 2 weeks until the new sod came in.  He was also not specific on how the new sod should be maintained and I ended up under watering it, loosing about 1/3 of the new front lawn.  At first he was willing to help me fix this but ultimately never came through, never returning any of my calls, and again just unexpectedly showing up to remove the damaged sod without me ever agreeing to a price or authorizing the work.  Needless to say I would not use them again.

Update as of 9/1/11:
Shortly after posting my original review I was contacted by Fernando and was assured he would do whatever it took to get the lawn back on par.  Within 2 weeks he purchased new sod to replace the dead pieces.  He removed the dead pieces and replaced with the new ones all in the same day.  It's been about 2 1/2 weeks since the installation and looks like the new sod is taking very well.  The best part is that Fernando did all this work at no charge.  Not really sure what triggered the attitude change but glad to see he was dedicated to resolving my issue.

As I mentioned before I am happy with the quality and would considering using Recino again if they keep up the level of quality and improve their communication.

He didn't come out for at least four weeks after the contract was signed so my husband called him. He finally came out and did some work in the first week of May, then he disappeared for another couple of weeks. At that point, we called and told him to forget it. 

At one point, he said he would need to remove my kitchen cabinets to work on the tile floor. I mentioned that my granite counter top would break and he said "yeah, it might crack."

He did send us a bill for $108.00, which I did pay. I have since hired another landscaper to do the work. 

Fernando and his crew are true professionals. Fernando came and gave me an estimate for a clean up and clearing operation at my house and gave me an estimate. I told him to go ahead and they went to work and finished very quickly and on budget. I highly recomend using Recino's for all of your landscape/hardscape needs, i am very satisfied and have planed future projects.

We contacted Fernando Recino and had him come by for a quote. His price was very reasonable & he was very professional. He got started fairly quickly (before 2 weeks) & finished in a timely fashion. Good experience. We will use him again.

The contractor worked very carefully to remove the brick without breaking any pieces. He was essentially successful in this regard. A couple of the original pieces subsequently needed replacement and that was handled by him without any consequence. He returned the brick to its original status without a hitch. The contractor did the job as specified at the price quoted and within the time anticipated.

I had used Fernando for hardscaping around the house and I was extremely pleased with his work, so I decided to have him install our sprinkler system as well. He is our landscaper too, so I figured having him do the sprinklers will incentivize him to keep a beautiful lawn, because landscapers will often blame the sprinklers if the lawn doesn't look good. He installed a state of the art system that was competitively priced in less than 2 days and he continues to alter the pressure and raduis of the heads in order to make sure every part of the lawn is covered. He is meticulous in his work and takes great pride in what he does. I highly recommend him.

I had used Fernando for hardscaping around the house and was very happy with the outcome and decided to use him for landscaping as well. He and his crew are top notch and have an incredible work ethic. Any issues I had he was on top of. He is incredibly responsive and has tremendous pride in what he does. The outcome is a very beautiful lawn.

I have had a very positive experience working with Fernando, the owner of the company. I had found his name on Angie's List and called him for an appointment. He arrived at the time we had designated, which is unusal for people in this business. He was clear, articulate, and passionate about his profession. He didn't rush me and answered all of my questions. His pricing was on the higher side, but he assured me you get what you pay for, and boy was he right. The date we agreed to commence working was the date he started, which again is unusal for people in this industry. His workers were hard-working and polite. They would show up at around 9am and work until 6pm, with only a short break in between for lunch. Fernando brought a port-o-potty with his crew so they wouldn't have to come inside the house. Fernando works on many jobs simultaneously, so he isn't always on the job site. However, he did make it to our job site once or twice daily to check on his crew and their progress. I would call him occassionally with a question and 9 out of 10 times he would pick up. The times he wouldn't pick up he would return my call within an hour, he is incredibly responsive. Fernando has a top notch work ethic which manifests itself in how hard his crew works. I was very pleased with his work and I will surely call on him again when the time comes.

Job went very well. Ferando Recino supervised his men and often worked with them. He is very well organized. He brought pictures and helped us select materials to match our house. Job started a few days after we signed the contract. The work on the porch and path took 3 days. About 2 weeks later he and one of his men came and installed the PVC railings.

Very well! The first day they filled the hole and built the patio. The next day they laid the sod and cleaned up everything.
