I had Seth Bykowski come out from Reiner heating and cooling to fix a waterline problem I was having. He was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to talk with. What a pleasure to have these people working for Reimer.

i had to sign up for a service contract on my air conditoning, furnace and water tank in order to get a 10yr warrenty instead of a 5yr warrenty on the water tank i had installed by Reimer.Fast forward to my 1st service contract appointment which was a tune up on my furnace. The technician never performed the tune up that was scheduled. All he did was point out components on my furnace "That might go",or "are old and might fail".... All he did was try to sell me on parts and componets that my furnace did not need nor did i want. When i had enough of his sales pitch after not doing anything close to a furnace tune up. i asked him to leave my home. He continued to return to his sales pitch after each request to leave my home which was 5x.I then had to threaten him with a call to the police before he left my home.I will never call them for anything. When i asked him to leave he became beligerant and verbally abusive to a 68 yr old man with a cancerous wife.Big man! Reimer Home Services, from the first call to them, to the final instal of a new Carrier unit, furnace and A/C, they were very professional, courteous knowledgable and explained what they were doing basically every step of the way. They removed the old unit and hauled it away, the job was very clean, neat after they had left. You want to have a check, recheck and a final approval of a service, Reimer Home Service Company is for you.

Not good. I was told that the heat exchanger was rusty and emitting fumes. they turned off the furnace. I then got quotes to replace the furnace from several companies. when the work was being done it was discovered that THERE WAS NO RUST!! We purchased a new furnace unnecessarily based on what the Representative from Reimer told us. He Was Wrong!

A service tech named Lou came out to check out our furnace/air conditioning unit. He found cracks in the core of our heating element. Lou spent quite a bit of time with very advanced technological tools to show me where the problems were. Once we decided we had to replace the system I did my homework. Lou's pricing was excellent, and they were prompt, courteous, and efficient when replacing the units. They made us very happy when they routed the drains directly into our sump pump; accommodating our new basement remodel needs. I would highly recommend this company; and we did sign up for additional maintenance service contracts because we trust them.

Excellent. We chose Reimer because of option to have 10-year parts and labor warranty and because their installation plan required less preparatory work for us. Their staff were all very professional, they explained everything thoroughly, and they cleaned up carefully.

Ten years ago my furnace wasn't working and I called Reimer (I save all the receipts I have from home improvement projects, that's how I know this). At that time Reimer wrote in my quote "main limit blown and several cracks in the heat x-changer. Could not repair due to safety issues." We had another company come out who was able to repair our furnace. The reason I'm on Angie's List today is because our furnace is not working again and I'm looking for the company who came last time to repair it. I definitely will not be calling Reimer. LOL. That furnace they wouldn't repair in '07 had another 10 years of life in it.
Response from Reimer Heating & Air Conditioning
"We were at this address on 12/19/2007 and found the heat exchanger cracked during video inspection. We followed up on 12/26/2007 to inspect the heat exchangers again and was confirmed a second time that they were indeed cracked during the second video recording. At that time we do file a unsafe shut down form that states that if another company finds it to be safe(not cracked) and it was human error on our part we will fix the furnace at no charge. We never again heard from you, and to wait 10 years to give us a negative review when we video recorded the cracks twice for you is a bit unfair. If you have any questions please give us a call."

Not well. Service rep was on time but didn’t tune my furnace (boiler) bc he deemed it defective and ‘unsafe’ d/t a crack in the heat exchange. He then shut my furnace down and said it needed to stay off until it was repaired or replaced. Repairing it would only give me few more years so he recommended that I replace it for $8662.00 vs repairing it for $1800. I got a second opinion by a licensed heating & cooling contractor that said my furnace is fine, only a pressure relief valve was needed and the heat exchanger was NOT cracked. Reimer rep also told me about the bad pressure relief valve but would only matter if I chose to repair it. He only charged me for a service call.

We have them come every year to do the service on it. I'd give them all "A's". I chose them because I saw a review on Angie's List and they were near where I work. A couple of people said they used them and several people recommended them. They answer the phone instantly, came out instantly. They were super clean and honest. They put the camera inside the furnace to show me what it looked like.

I'd give them all "A's". I would use them again. They are local, so they can get here quickly. They answer the phone right away. Their prices are very reasonable. The workers are very clean, very friendly. They put slipcovers on their shoes.

I came home to an 80 degree house as the A/C stopped working sometime today. I found them on Angies List and called right away. They were here in 45 minutes, found the problem and fixed it. He was polite, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend them.

They did an excellent job conveying the work they were completing and how much each item costs and then why they were replacing it. When they arrived for installation they treated my home with nothing, but respect and worked hard for almost six hours despite fighting the rain through out the installation.

We're billed monthly for this; it's approximately $13 a month. We pay for services and then they give us a free check up in the spring. I'm only using them only because our furnace is under warranty, but as soon as our warranty is up, we will go with someone else. We have no choice, but I would not choose them nor would I recommend them to anyone else.

A lot of work was done removing the old heater and exhaust pipe, installing the tankless heater and creating an exhaust system that goes directly outside rather than into the chimney.

From the first call to the company, everyone I dealt with was awesome. The woman that took my call was polite and friendly. I had workers here within an hour-hour & a half of that first call. The guys were respectful, polite, & friendly. They explained what they were doing... All in all I am absolutely satisfied with this company and will most definitely use and recommend them in the future.

Installation was quick and efficient. Servicemen were very polite and took the time to place drop cloths throughout the home (work done during winter). Clean up was thorough. A/C will be completed in May.

I contacted Reimer and explained what exactly we were looking for. We currently have 2 Mitsubishi Splits in the Home and looking to replace/compliment those systems with HVAC to heat/cool the attic and cool the 2nd floor. An appointment was made and I was specifically told to make sure both adults in the household, who were capable of making these decisions, were home for the 60-90 minute assessment. The employee, Steve, arrived on time (Tuesday) and we began the discussion. He stopped us about 10 minutes into the discussion after we stated that we wanted a HVAC system in the attic (as stated on the phone). He advised us that this was beyond his experience level and that he would have to return the next day (morning) with a more experienced team member, Rick. I cleared my entire schedule (my partner could not) only to have a no-call / no show (Wednesday). I contacted Reimer directly at 3:30pm and spoke to the receptionist who read the notes in my file and promised a return phone call from Steve. Steve never called and never showed. The following day (Thursday) I contacted Reimer in the morning (11:00am) for any update / information. I was again told that they would contact Steve directly and have him contact me directly. Steve called me at approximately 2:30pm, (the first contact since the start) and apologized for his demeanor citing personal reasons, the office was busy, and he could not get ahold of the more experienced tech. (All good reasons HAD HE CALLED). Steve promised he would contact Rick and set up an appointment in the morning (Friday). He would call by 6pm Thursday to confirm. I informed him that we were leaving town on business on a flight at 5pm but would keep the morning free for him and Rick. I even offered (and emailed) a copy of my Survey for the home to help them gain a better understanding before arriving. 6pm came and went, it was another no call / no show by Steve, Rick & Reimer. Friday morning came and went. We kept our morning open while packing for our trip and there was never a response. The most inflaming thing about this is that Reimer requested that any decision maker in the household be present for the consultation as not to "waste" THEIR time....... and then they no call / no show me THREE TIMES in four days. How is my time any less important then theirs. On day one I was asked how quickly I would be interested in moving forward and that this was their slow season and they have six separate teams working so the job was ready to be started and completed quickly. Again, this is no reflection on Brandon and his professionalism while completing a tune-up on my HVAC in the fall, however, I will not being using good Reimer again in the future. I'm upset that I purchased their annual maintenance package and have already paid for a spring tune up. I am a completely understanding consumer and work in transportation, a very dynamic industry, so I understand things not going as planned, however, you should never leave your customers in the cold!

This company is a great example of what good customer service should be. The furnace broke down in February and, with a baby in the house, we hoped to find a fast fix. We got that and more from Reimer. The technician arrived quickly and on time. He was personable and professional. The repair price was reasonable. We surely saved this number for future reference!
