Owners are a little rough around the edges when you speak with them on the phone. I didn't find them to be terribly friendly or accommodating but that being said, they were able to schedule my move on the day I needed and they got the job done quickly and affordably. I moved from an apartment to a new home across town and the charge was a bit over $500 which seemed pretty reasonable to me. The movers with a bit of a motley crew, but they were respectful of me, my furniture and my new home so you can't ask for much more. Overall I would use them again and recommend to others.

My sister and I were selling our mom's house in Syracuse and needed to get everything out of it within 3 weeks. Our mom had been in the house for over 50 years so you can imagine what she had accumulated before her death. As it was we had spent the last 8 months cleaning out and giving away everything we could but could get through the last of the stuff that we didn't want. The task alone was daunting enough without having to think about what to do with the stuff we didn't want but couldn't move ourselves. We found Ralph Palmisano Movers on Angie's list and decided to call them. Ralph Palmisano came over to give us the quote and walked through the house with us so we could show him what we wanted to move to each of our houses. All he kept saying was and quot;don't worry we'll take care of itand quot; and he did. Ralph was personally there every step of the way, from the quotation to the last delivery of the furnature and boxes. We got a flat price of $4000 for the move (which was their minimum) because we were not even filling the truck.
While Ralph was at the house we showed him a piano we had. It was an upright that no wanted (we even tried to give it away for free). Once again he said and quot;don't worry we'll take care of itand quot;. While he was there we told him we had found a non-profit in Syracuse that wanted the piano to use at their music school. The schools said they would love to have the piano but that they had no money or way move it. Ralph offered to move the piano to the school for no extra charge and even offered the school 2 more pianos that he had in his warehouse!
Ralph and his teamed showed up on time the day of the move. It was a very emotional day for us but these guys really made it as easy on us as they could. They came with 2 separate trucks to pack up the house. In the first one they wrapped, protected and loaded everything that was coming to Massachusetts. We were with them as they loaded it so we could tell them where each piece was eventually being taken. Next they loaded the second truck with all of the stuff we were not taking and needed to dispose of. This included everything from the piano to old furniture that no one else would take even for free. They even offered to vacuum the rugs when they were done.
On the other end a week later Ralph and a few of the same guys that were at my mom's house showed up at my house right on time too. Ralph's wife, who handles the schedule, said that the guys would drive the stuff up the night before and then be at my house by 8am. (They actually showed up 15 minutes early) They put everything in the house were I asked them and were finished in a matter of 45 minutes. Ralph gave me a big hug when he left and then headed off to my sisters in Boston with the rest of the load. All I know about the rest of the trip was that it went so well and they worked so hard bringing everything into my sister's 5 story Brownstone that she gave the guys a tip. And then when my sister and I talked after everything was done I asked how everything went on her end and she said it could not have been better. She said that the guys even moved the patio furniture up to her roof deck! Then jokingly she said and quot;because I tipped them Ralph gave me a big hug goodbyeand quot; I had to tell her I got one for free:) All we can say is...Thanks Ralph for making it so easy!!!

They were wonderful. I had a lot of antiques and they moved everything without damaging anything at all. They really went above and beyond and their price was very reasonable.

When we called the first time, a woman answered and it sounded like we had woken her up. As it turns out, we had. The business phone is their home phone. It was just before 8 am and the woman who answered was in a foul mood and told us we would have to call back after they were and quot;open.and quot; We did and tried to set up a time to get an estimate but the same woman couldn't even set up a time to have someone give us an estimate for our move. When Ralph called back, he apologized for what happened on the phone and set an appointment for the estimate. On the day of the appointment, he called after the time he was supposed to be at our house and said he was and quot;leaving nowand quot; the only trouble was he was leaving from an address nearly 40 minutes away and we had other appointments. We told him to call us to reschedule but he never did. We wouldn't have used their services in any event at that point.

We found another local mover who did a great job for us so it worked out for the best.

I called the company just a few weeks before the move, and they had no trouble fitting me into the schedule--they were even understanding when I had to reschedule a week prior, due to a delayed closing on our new house. The movers were prompt, efficient, completing the job in three hours. There was no damage to the walls or furniture--not even a rather rickety desk that had to be hefted up and over a stairwell railing and squeezed into a tight corner. The charges were reasonable, and the crew was professional and good-humored throughout.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and speed with which the 4 gentlemen conducted the move.

They came in and immediately coordinated the loading of the truck and even advised against putting certain items in the truck as they might risk breaking. I really appreciated this. They could have just thrown it in the truck and hope for the best. But they had our possessions in mind.

It took them a little over an hour to load everything of ours onto the truck and a little over an hour to take everything off the truck.

They showed up on time, and everything went extremely smooth.

I hired Ralph Palmisano Mover because I had used them before. Although the appearance of the movers might not meet everyone's expectations, they were extremely professional, courteous, punctual, and fast. I actually moved during the terrible snowstorm on 12/2 and was worried about them showing up. They called me when they were about to leave the warehouse to let me know they were on their way. They had me out of my old apartment and into my new house in 2 hours -- even with the blizzard! There were 4 men and they were very nice and kept telling me not to worry when I apologized about the weather. Very good with breakable things. I would definitely use them again.

They didn't do any packing, they just picked everything up. They were very timely and everything made it to the new house safely. They were very professional and quick. It was a good experience.

Ralph, the owner came out and gave an estimate and we set up dates. Our pick-up day and time along with our unload day were critical in our moving plans. Ralph tcame the day of the load right on time with four guys a big beutiful truck and everything he needed to pack our belongings. These guys all knew what they were doing and they worked hard and fast. The whole house was paked on the truck by 1:00 and even some last minute fragile items Ralph and his crew took care of with no problem. The unload went just as well. Ralph drove the truck and they were right on time again, after a 6 hour drive. We had some delays due to carpet installation but these guys were patient and professional. Ralph also held our stuff on the truck for a few days with no extra storage fee.

The move was outstanding. I've been in the military for over 20 years and I've moved a lot (every couple of years). This was hands down my best moving experience ever. The owner (Ralph) and/or his wife (Rene) were present for every moment of this two-day experience. All of the workers were courteous and hard-working; they went out of their way to ensure our furniture and belongings were well cared-for and properly protected. The estimate was accurate. The movers arrived on-time. I would recommend Ralph Palmisano and his crew above any moving company I've ever dealt with.

They were great! Packed loaded and unloaded on schedule including bad weather drive. Crew was honest they even found money and jewlry in some of the drawers and brought to my wife attention immediately. Pointed out scratches and marked so we would know it was not damaged in move. Most impressed when they wrapped items os they stayed dry (rain-snow) during loading and inloading. I liked the owner on the job. Very nice to work with. Very fair in price compared to others who were 30% more.Did a lot of extras including set up beds and dressers. Even helped hook up washer.

Overall things went very well. Crew of four showed up on time and worked incredibly hard all day. These guys were professional movers and knew what they were doing. No damage was done to belongings or the house. Not an easy task considering the two flights of stairs to the attic and the delicate plaster walls. I did not know it was going to take two loads, although it was obvious to the crew when they got a look. So it took much longer and that meant more money than originally anticipated. We only did an estimate over the phone so I thought the price was reasonable considering the amount of time. My only complaint was that by the end of unloading the second load, the guys were in a hurry and just put boxes wherever it was easiest, instead of where was indicated on the box. I asked them a couple of times to be mindful of that but it didn't seem to work. That just meant that I had to go back and move a lot of boxes over the next few days. Overall, though I was very pleased with the effort and care these guys gave during the move. I thought it was well worth the money.

The crew arrived promptly, worked efficiently and was generally careful not to damage anything. We did have one minor/major problem. While moving bookcases into the living room, they gauged the living room ceiling which happened to be a canvas drop ceiling. It took us a long time to find anyone who could fix it and because my husband had put his finger through the hole to check for leaking water, they claimed that they were not responsible.

Although Ralph did not drive the truck as was reported by other reviewers, the 4 guys who came were very nice, courteous and professional. I had several antiques and a custom one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that was awkward to move, and they took great care with everything. I have found not a scratch on anything. Our move was mid month which made scheduling easy and my several conversations with office staff were direct, informative and professional. The move took just the 2 hours predicted plus one hour travel time added on, one large truck, one trip of 4 blocks.

Four guys showed up and moved a couple of couches, two beds, some tables, and a bunch of other heavy/large stuff, plus a few dozen boxes, many of them filled with books. I was just moving down the street, but they loaded the truck, drove down the street and unloaded it in just over an hour. The guys worked very hard. The owner was not present, as other reviews have said, but it didn't matter. I was surprised they finished in an hour and gave them a nice tip for their work.

A positive experience overall. They arrived late because the cold weather made it hard to start the diesel trucks. I had to call to find out what had happened. One lamp with a paper shade (that wasn't being moved) suffered a small tear and they put one scratch in the hardwood floors. Considering the conditions that day and amount of work involved, I was satisfied. Like the previous reviewer, having the owner on the job and driving the truck was a big plus.

Phenomenal. After collecting quotes ranging from 140-175 per hour to move, we came across Palmisano. They've been around for 80-90 years and our parents had used them a long time ago, but decided to give it a shot. We got three guys and a truck (the fourth called in sick, so they dropped the price to $108/hr) and they busted their butts to get us out quick. Nothing ever touched the ground and they treated things as if it were there's. The owner, Ralph Jr., drove the truck, which I thought was pretty impressive. All told, they billed us for five hours including travel. We tipped $30 a person.
