Fox Hollow Movers, LLC- Allied Van Lines

The sales team was easy to work with and went out of their way to help us out (with an in-home estimate) and scheduling on a tight timeline. The crew arrived a few minutes early and started right at the agreed-upon time to coordinate the move out process with our sales closing and then move-in around our buying closing. They were all professional and took great care of our furniture and belongings. Given a few timeline hiccups to move into the new house (and rain), everyone was friendly and worked hard to get everything done in one crazy day.

Overall this moving company might be the worst in the business.  I have moved several times, including internationally and have never experienced such a poor service.   The move was estimated to cost $7,300.00 and ended up being over $10k due to mismanaged estimates on their part and an issue with the moving blankets (pads).  We emphasized to the estimator, Richard, that we needed them to use new or nearly new / very clean blankets to wrap the furniture.  The day of the packing the crew left without wrapping the furniture.  At this point we called the office and were assured that they would be using new or clean blankets to wrap the furniture the next day.  Next day the crew showed up with the most disgustingly dirty, stained, rotten and smelly blankets you could imagine. 
We called the office immediately and after arguing about the cleanliness of thesedisgusting blankets, were given an ultimatum to purchase new blankets ourselves or abort the move.  We were forced to purchase $1,300 in blankets to complete the move and were charged an additional $300 for Fox Hollow to deliver these to us (about 20miles away). 
In disputing this charge with Richard the next day we were yelled at and given no options to reduce this absurd cost, despite his assurance in the estimating process that they would use new / clean blankets. 
The only positive about this entire experience was the actual on-site crew, who worked very hard and none of the above was their fault. 
I would never recommend this company based on our terrible experience and personally think Allied owes me a phone call and refund - I am surprised they have no quality control over these local companies using their name!

It took 3 weeks just to get an estimate for an anticipated move that was less than 2 months away. The representative called almost an hour before the scheduled appointment to say that he was on his way. He was not a friendly individual.
