Henry came to the house, looked at the job and gave me an estimate which is what he charged for the job.  It was arranged that I would purchase the tile and grout and he would supply the adhesive for this tile over tile job.  He was professional and cleaned up when he was done.  When it turned out that we were 2 tile sections short (a linen closet in the bathroom I forgot to include) and my wife didn't like the grout color that I picked, Henry went to Home Depot to get different package of grout and  extra tile sections even though I offered to go. There were a lot of cuts required but he did not charge extra.  I would recommend Henry and Home Magic Renovations for any home improvement project.  My son needs a bathroom installed and I gave him Henry's card.

They were a great crew.  Professional, punctual and courteous.  Henry has a vast knowlege of the material and was able to explain the scope of the work being performed in laymens terms.    The work was exactly as stated.  The crew cleaned up as if they had never been there.  The work was promised to be done in one day and they were able to finish the work in the time quoted.  His price was not the least expensive but fair for the job requested.  Quality of work 2nd to none.  Henry is an honest guy who produces exactly what he promises. Completely satisfied!!!

The worker showed at 8 am and began taking down the old roof. By 6 pm, the job was completed. I had to pick a shingle that  was available, since I didnt allow enough time to get to pick and choose, but I was still given a quality Timberline HD roof and the color ended up looking really good!
A major clean up was done to my property and everything was hauled away. I had a great experience with this job and was especially impressed with how quickly Henry made this happen for me. The inspection took place on Tuesday March 5th and believe it or not, I was able to close on the 7th!
Great work, very nice man, great price! I will be using him very soon to do a new roof on my new residence!

Henry was very knowledgable and very courteous.  He arrived on time and worked on the project until completion.  He was very reasonably priced and went the extra mile to fix other items that were outside the scope of the job without charging us extra.  Overall we were pleased with his work.  I would hire him again.

"I had to go back to the spring to even find out who this customer was mailed him contracts to sign and never received a sign contract back . I will not work with out a signed contract ( which was written in the spring of 2013). I went to his house picked out shingles , brought him a sample ,he said he wanted to move forward, I mailed him contracts and never heard from him again Its been almost a year since proposal was written and i put my time in to get his house done . I assumed he went with some one else. Maybe some miscommunication sorry this turned out with out me selling a job or his work getting done"

I found water leak somehow actually coming through the backside of my shower between my bedroom wall and shower. After I looked at it through the access panel, I saw the water was somehow coming through the shell itself. I called Home Magic, and he was there shortly after I called him.  I couldn't be happier with the service provided. He was quick to come over and dig right in to find the problem. After some quick trouble shooting, he found the problem, repaired it, and double checked that it was good to go.

Originally I had a good experience dealing with them. The guy that came out was good and friendly. I was satisfied with the service. I just need to call them back because I found something that doesn't work that they've done.

UPDATE- The outlets aren?t working now, and it appears that the ceiling was not completely painted.  The agreement was for the whole ceiling to be painted and he only painted part of it.  I've tried to contact him and left messages regarding the work that needs to be completed and he has not made any attempt to contact back.

UPDATE- It has now been 5 months and I have still not heard anything from him.

Henry came for estimate. Called him week later, he stated he would email estimate. Never happened. Similar experience of previous posting. I'm not going to chase them. Not professional in my opinion.

"This gentleman wanted a free estimate on every thing in his house , as we walk through his house he just asked for a price on everything as it came into his site , I was called to give a price on hardwood floors and painting and was asked to give a price on any dream that he could think of , I left his house with 8 pages of notes . I was asked for " a free estimate " on finishing his basement "maybe with a bathroom", a new kitchen ,new trim in every room , MOVE the bathroom in master bedroom , new doors , replace windows , ect. He had no products selected and no plans . I dont shoot out prices , I write them after finding cost on materials , labor ect . it appeared to me he was just wasting both of our time The job was local and i have been by the house a few times and to date have seen no work of the magnitude that he was asking for . I write Free estimates all the time."

We are very happy with the results.  Our foyer looks better than it did before the damage.  Henry was very nice to work with.  He fit us in between jobs and kept in contact with us. Would recommend and will contact again when we are ready to do future work to the house.  Sorry it took so long to write the review.

Recently after we moved into our new house we found that there was a leak in the roof.  We called several people on Angie's List and Henry is the only one who got back to me AND came to take a look at it.  Henry was there the same day and had my leak repaired within 2 days.  The work was 1st rate and his price was very reasonable, lower than I was expecting.

This was the second time I have called Henry for an emergency issue.  I found that I have a leak in the wall behind a bathroom vanity which was dripping into my basement.  I called Henry in the evening and he was there that night to take a look.  He came back 1st thing the next morning and fixed the problem.  Henry is a very honest guy and has not tried to push other services on me when he is helping with something.  His prices are fair.

After Henry did such a good job with our den and laundry room, we decided to renovate our bathroom and paint the walls in the hallway. Henry and his crew did it all--removing the old walls and fixtures, putting up all new sheetrock, installing a new tub, tiling the floor and walls, installing a rather complicated vanity and sink, installing the bath fixtures, installing the toilet, and painting the walls and the hallway.
Henry sent us to a plumbing supply house where we selected our own material and those costs as well as the cost of the vanity and tiles that we paid for are not included in what we paid him.
Except for a problem getting the wrong size toilet and having to find a new one, everything was done right. The house was kept clean throughout and they were responsive to all the little modifications we asked for. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are so happy with the results.

Henry and his crew did a wonderful job. We ordered the new laminate flooring, and he picked it up. They worked quickly to remove the old floor and haul it away.  The work was done cleanly and we were very pleased with the results. We were so pleased that we decided to have him renovate our laundry room and paint both rooms. We found the stock cabinets we wanted at a big box store and he picked them up and put them together and installed them. There were a few complications with the plumbing (not his fault), but they fixed them without adding any extra costs. In addition, Henry is an interesting, honest guy. He seems to like his work and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I would give him an A+ if I could.

It went extremely well.  The call to set up a date for an estimate was returned in a timely manner.  Henry arrived on time, listened to what was to be accomplished and delivered the estimate within several days.  The estimate was broken out with costs clearly indicated.  The job took the eight days that Henry indicated it would.  The workday started at the same time each day and ended around 6:00 in the evening.  Even during the tear down there was minimal mess and it never reached the house proper, it was always contained to the utility room and bathroom.  Much of the sawing and other outside work took place in the back yard and even that was cleaned up every evening.  Fidel who was here everyday was courteous, pleasant, and well skilled  The finished rooms are well done and let me tell you, a real pleasure to look at.  The clean up that was done at the conclusion of the project was outstanding.  All in all, I would call Home Magic Renovations back to do additional work without hesitation.  The cost was reasonable (even though the 10% Senior Discount indicated on the site page is not valid), the job well done.
