Fox Floors Carpet One

Store has good selection, installation went well. However, workers did not come with any trash bags, broom, or vacuum. I provided all of these to them but they did a poor to fair job of sweeping and cleaning up. Disappointed regarding this phase of the work.

I dealt with Salesman Bill at Fox Floors. He was very helpful. However, there were issues just before Fox came to install the tiles.
About 2 weeks prior to installation, Bill & I realize the guy they sent to measure a basement closet did not include the measurements on the floor plan. Bill has already placed the order. He does a quick calculation in his head and says there
should be enough tile to do the closet. I originally told him it was approx 20sq feet. I go back a few days later and tell him it is
about 30sq ft. Fox should have sent someone back to my house to re-measure the sq footage correctly.
Installation Day - (Friday) Fox does a very good job removing the carpet from the basement floor and installing the new tile. It looks really nice. However, they are short tiles.. They barely make it to the closet doorway. 
I also paid Fox to remove the carpet from the basement stairs.  (I had a carpenter sand/stain/poly the stairs)
Fox Floors sent a second crew of 2 guys to remove the carpet from the basement staircase. The guys from Fox Floors removed the carpet. I did not inspect the stairs closely after they removed the carpet as I was working from home all day.
I paid Foxx 1/3 of the job upfront before the job started. I told their guy I would pay another 1/3 of the payment that Friday night after they finished the main room. I told him to have Bill call me in the morning to order the 2 boxes of tile to finish the closet.
The next morning (Saturday) I noticed the bull nose was broken at the end of the right side. There were also at least 100 staples still in stairs.  A couple of friends who do home improvement said the bullnose on the step was just broken. The carpenter who replaced the step said it was also probably recently broken.
Bill call me the next morning. He says Fox wants $690 to finish the closet. I tell him his guy probably broke the bullnose on the step. Bill tells me they will send someone out to look at the step. Ok, no problem. He tells me they have stock pine and will take care of it. I tell him I will pay the balance that Monday. Then he tells me because I spent around $4200, they would give me a break and only charge me $500 for the closet.
About 10min later, the manager, I think his name is Gabe calls me. He insists that Fox Floors did not break the bullnose. He claims that his guy told me the previous night that the step was broken. This is absolute bullsh*t. No one said anything or showed me the step. I got very annoyed when he said that. He insists there is no way they broke the bullnose. Then he tells me that they finished the job and should be paid in full. I said the job was not finished. They knew I wanted the closet done as well. Gabe is insistant that I pay. He has no clue how to deal with customers. He really annoyed me and I hung up.
About 2 hours later (still saturday) I call Bill back. All of a sudden his story changes. He says there is no way they could have broken the bullnose. He takes $125 off the bill and I pay them in full.  He tells me Fox will do the closet for just the cost of the materials and he would call me back on Monday. I never heard from them again.
The guys who laid the tile did an excellent job. The guys who handled the stairs, not such a great job in hindsight.  I question the professionalism of their manager. Hard to trust anything they say.

Fox has a good selection of carpeting in different price ranges. We got beautiful Karastan carpeting for less than $5 a square foot.
The carpet is thick and beautiful and the installation was excellent. We are very happy we chose Fox Floors.

I only have accolades for the company and my salesman, Bob!

The purchase went very smoothly. Fox has a very large inventory of carpet remnants displayed for easy selection. The salesperson was very attentive and helpful explaining that any remnant could be cut to our specifications and delivered on our schedule. The store is located on Staten Island and we live in Brooklyn, so we opted to pick up the carpet ourselves to save the delivery fee. The carpet was ready a few days later as promised.

They had me over a barrel, so I agreed to the $100.00 or they wouldn't finish the job. I paid in full by giving the installer a check for $1700.00 when the job was finished. Because of shoddy work installers had to come back to the house and redo part of the installation. Consequently I returned to Fox Floors and made a complaint with the manager concerning the overcharge, and was refunded my $100.00 back.

The price for the carpet and installation was less expensive than 4 other big carpet stores, including 2 home improvement stores. They installed the carpet for 2 rooms and 3 flights of floater stairs. The stairs are tricky but they did an awesome job with it. They showed up on time and did the whole job in one day!!! Perfect installation and no seams! Would use them again!

They have excellent service. They did a really nice job on the carpets and also the staircase. The staircase was a little tricky and they had no problems with it. They showed up right on time. They also had our carpets installed within a week from the time we had picked it out from the time of installation.

The 1st installation went very well with no problems at all. On the 2nd job the workmen did not vacuum the carpet before leaving.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH I THINK FOR THE CARPET. THE PERSON WHO INSTALLED IT WAS NICE. ONCE THEY WERE HERE THEY DID A GOOD JOB, BUT THEY WERE LATE. I REMEMBER I WAS WAITING FOR HOURS.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS BAD BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE MUCH CHOICE IN HIRING THEM. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY NICE, BUT I WAS ON A DEADLINE. THEY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT I COULDN'T HAVE THEM CONTINUALLY SHOWING UP LATE. I HIRED THEM BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY COULD DO IT RIGHT AWAY, BUT THEY WERE PULLING MY LEG. I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE SEAMS THAT THEY INSTALLED WITH THE CARPET.

I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE THIS LAST TIME, AND THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. BUT THIS TIME IT WASN'T AS GOOD. I HAD TO CALL THEM REPEATEDLY TO ASK IF THE CARPET WAS IN YET. IT WAS LIKE THEY WERE TOO BUSY TO DEAL WITH ME AND SUCH A LITTLE PROJECT. SO I HAVE HAD ONE GOOD EXPERIENCE AND ONE BAD ONE.

IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE BECAUSE THEY DID A FINE JOB. THEY PUT THE CARPET ON THE FLOOR, AND IT STAYED ON THE FLOOR. IT DIDN'T FALL OFF OR CURL UP AT THE CORNERS. THEY DID A GOOD JOB ON THE STEPS, AND EVEN THOUGH I WASN T HERE WHEN THEY WERE WORKING THEY DIDN'T LEAVE ANY KIND OF MESS BEHIND.

THEY ARE TERRIFIC. I WOULDN'T USE ANYBODY ELSE. I COULD HAVE SAVED MONEY GOING ELSEWHERE, BUT THE QUALITY OF THE WORK MAKES IT WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY. I GOT THE WHOLE NINE YARDS. THE CARPET LOOKS GREAT AND THEIR WEREN'T ANY DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT OR INSTALLATION.

THEY WERE FINE. I HAD USED THEM ONCE BEFORE, AND THEY WERE EXCELLENT THEN TOO. THEY TOOK THEIR TIME AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS DONE CORRECTLY. I HAD BEEN TO THE STORE SEVERAL TIMES AND CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT WHAT TO GET AND THEY WERE VERY PATIENT WITH ME.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY WERE ON TIME FOR THE DELIVERY. THE PRICE COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, BUT IF IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT IT. THEY DID A NICE JOB AND CLEANED UP THE MESS FROM UNWRAPPING THE RUG. NOTHING REALLY HAPPENED. I BOUGHT THE RUG AT THE STORE, THEY DELIVERED IT, CARRIED IT INTO MY HOUSE, AND PUT IT ON THE GROUND. THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, SO I THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB.

IT WAS FINE. THEY DELIVERED THE CARPET WITH NO MAJOR PROBLEMS. THEY LAID THE CARPETING. THEIR CARPETING CREW WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THEY WERE FRIENDLY TOWARDS MY SON. IT WAS LAID CORRECTLY and EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE VERY GOOD. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID ON THE CARPETS.

IT HIT ALL THOSE MARKS. THEY WERE EVERYTHING YOU SAID. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL. I WOULD SAY THOSE THINGS, AND THE PRICING WAS GOOD.

I THINK THEY WERE VERY GOOD. WE'VE USED THEM IN THE PAST. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND NEAT ON BOTH OCCASIONS. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK AND THE PRICE. WE WILL CONTINUE GOING BACK TO THEM BECAUSE OF HOW SUCCESSFUL THEIR WORK HAS BEEN FOR US.

I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FOX FLOORS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. THEY HAVE A LARGE SELECTION OF PRODUCTS, AND THEY INSTALL THEM IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF SEEING THE PRODUCT THAT YOU LIKE, THEY PUT IT IN.

I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN. I HAVE ALSO USED THEM FOUR OR FIVE TIMES NOW. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

EVERYTHING THEY DID WAS GREAT. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. THEY ONLY TOOK ONE DAY TO DO EVERYTHING. THEY SAID THEY WERE COMING, THEY CAME, DID THE JOB, AND THEN THEY WERE DONE.
