Lighthouse Fence

I hired Lighthouse Fencing to install a fence around my pool to protect my 1 year old and 3 old from falling in the pool.  I got an estimate from Lighthouse Fence for $2,335, which was comparable to several other quotes I got. I questioned Chad the owner who did the estimate where the fence was made and what the warranty was on the fence. I was told they only use American companies, he named the manufacturer (which I cant recall) and told me the fence had a lifetime warranty. I was told that I would get a warranty card after installation and that if a problem ever arose I could contact the manufacturer and they would take care of the repairs. The fence was installed and I have yet to get the warranty card many weeks later. I called four times over several weeks. The first and second time I was told by the owner Chad he would either put it in the mail or drop it off personally. Never got it. The third time he changed his story and acted surprised and said I filled out your paper work and you should be getting the information from the manufacturer in the mail. Give it a few more days and if you don’t get it I will drop it off personally. Again never got it. The final time I left a voice mail stating my anger and I said if I do not hear back from you I am assuming you lied to me about the type of fence you installed and the warranty. I never heard back from him. In addition another thing that fooled me is his positive customer reviews on Google. He has 5 stars from 17 people. Look closer and read all 17 reviews. Either he took out multiple screen names and posted the reviews himself or he had his friends (or a combination of the two) in my opinion post positive reviews. There are several reviews all with the same name and the dates the reviews were posted are all on the same dates or very close to each other. Seems a little odd, doesn’t it? The reasons I chose him was due to all his positive ratings and the lifetime warranty promise. Shame on me for not getting the warranty and fence manufacturer name it in writing and for missing the Google reviews. He lies to potential customers and installs a lesser quality fence than promised but charges a comparable rate to one that should.
