Mr. Forster returned my initial inquiry within 24 hours and did an on-site inspection within 2 days of that call.  He provided me with a written proposal.  Upon receipt of a downpayment for materials a date was set for the work to begin.  Mr. Forster arrived on time for the 3 days he and his crew (2 other workers) and proceeded to  work in an efficient and professional manner.  They were very respectful, always kept the area neat and removed any debris that was left over.  This is a project that has haunted me for a number of years and Mr. Forster and his efforts dispelled my fears with his confident knowledge and workman-like manner.  I will definitely be contacting him again for further projects.

Mr Forster came soon after I called him for an estimate. He quoted me a price that was 1/4 the price quoted by the company that had originally screened in the porch. A week later Mr. Forster and his helper did the work and cleaned up in one day. The job was satisfactory and I saved significant money.

We hired Brian to tear out our old, rotting rear deck and replace it with new lumber and Trex railings. First off, he was punctual for his estimate appointment. Second, while not the cheapest bid we received from the contractors we spoke to, his was significantly less than the highest. Third, he actually began the work a few days ahead of the scheduled start-date, due to his calendar having a sudden opening. Brian did the work himself (with one assistant); arrived promptly in the morning and stayed throughout each of the two days the work required. Most important, he did a stellar job: The deck is beautiful and solid as a rock. One last thing: We called him a couple of times since with questions about care and maintenance, and he returned both calls quickly and was eminently nice about it. We would use Brian again for anything involving quality carpentry and would recommend him very, very highly to anyone needing the same.

I called Brian because he had been rated highly on Angie's List. He came right out that weekend and gave me an estimate. He listed carefully to what we wanted and asked good questions. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule three weeks earlier than he originally exepected. He said he would begin at 7:30 in the morning and I thought to myself, "yeah right", when he said that. But sure enough, he and two of his workers showed up at 7:30 on the dot and began work. He carefully tore down my existing dilapidated deck and was careful to not damage my house in the process. They worked very hard all day and got all footings dug and poured and the deck frame constructed and joists cut. They came at 7:00-7:30 each of the three days it took to construct the deck and worked extremely hard through 90+ degree heat each day. They applied the decking and railings on day 2 and completed the stairs and apron on day 3. They also made a "gate" for us that looked just like the railing so we could keep our three year old from accidently falling down the stairs or "escaping" the confines of the deck when he's out playing. This gave us great peace of mind and was not something he had to do. He also made us a little hatch entry door, so we can store things under the deck if we want to or get under there for any reason. He listened to us throughout the job and accommodated our requests whenever possible. All were very professional and did great finish work, including sanding down all rough edges and any splintered wood on all surfaces.

It went very well. Brian is on time and efficient. He and his employee (total two people) worked on a Friday and a Monday and finished almost everything in two days. It was a very dry weekend and I was concerned with the cracks in the wood. Brian was very patient. I asked around and realized that the wood would crack anyway. As long as it is not a deep crack all the way through the wood, it is fine. After a few days of rain, the cracks actually disappeared. Overall, it is a very satisfying experience. Brian is a very good carpenter. Everyone is impressed, including my neighbors and my wife. Brian is not too big on design, though. But if you know what you want, Brian probably can make it happen.

Mr. Forster was prompt, worked assiduously and methodically but deftly, and did a fine job and on schedule, too. The area was well-cleaned after the job. His pricing was on par with other estimates, and there were only two almost-niggling problems I discovered (and very easily addressed myself) later.

We ended up going with someone else. He was very nice and gave us a competitive estimate. He was not as willing to work with us on the design of the deck. We were interested in someone that would help with the design. His price was for a no frills battleship deck. He said that if we wanted to work with him, then he would refine the estimate. He said if we decided what we wanted, then he would give us an estimate for that. He came when he said he would come and he was very professional.

Someone from work suggested him to me--he returned my call right away and came to look at the job. He was unable to put me on the schedule that fall but I was first up in the spring. True to his word he called as the first warm weather arrived and he finished in three days.

HE'S DEPENDABLE. IF HE SAYS HE'S GOING TO DO SOMETHING, HE'S GOING TO DO IT. THAT'S NOT TRUE OF SOME PEOPLE WE HIRE, THEY LEAVE WITHOUT SAYING. BUT MR. FORESTER IS VERY DEPENDABLE AND HIS WORK IS EXCELLENT. HIS PRICES ARE VERY FAIR.

IT WAS GOOD. HE WAS HERE WHEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO BE HERE. I WAS ABLE TO WORK WITH HIM SO WHAT I WANTED DONE HE DID FOR THE MOST PART. HE DIDN'T DO HIS OWN THING AND I HAD TO LIVE WITH IT. I THINK HE WAS VERY FAIR. HE WAS HERE EVERYDAY WHEN HE SAID HE'D BE HERE AND HE SAID HE'D FINISH THE JOB IN SIX WEEKS. NOBODY BELIEVED HIM BUT HE DID IT.
