They always do a great job. We have used them for 10 years. They are prompt and willing to make suggestions. We had a flood and they came right away to make sure everything was okay. If you call them they will come right away to take care of any issues. They are available 24 hours a day.

They were very conscientious about what they did. They cleaned up after themselves which to a woman is a big deal. They were always on time when they said they were going to be there and they came back and made some adjustments that were necessary and it was all good. We think their price was fine. They were professional. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

It was really complicated for them to transfer the contract from my old house to my new one.  I had to call them a lot of times and even talk to the manager.  They made a really big deal to come over to my new house.  Eventually the guy who came out was great and talked to me about it.  He advised me to replace it instead of servicing it.  Their price was fair but there was a difference in the price and they eventually they did not perform the service but still charged me for it.  There was a huge procedure involved in getting my money back and I had to keep calling them as the money had gone to collection.  I eventually got my money refunded back and cancelled the service.  I would not use them again in the future.

I have had a lot of problems with my heating and cooling, and they are just not able to address it. I just don’t think that they hire a lot of service technicians that do the basic, but beyond that they are not very good. I have not taken the trouble to find somebody different and because they installed the system, and if could find somebody better I would change.

They are very reliable company and they are basically a maintenance department, they are really looking for recurring revenues, and they are more of an "on call" type of company but they are responsive.  I don't find them that cost effective, but they are very reliable.  I would use them again in the future.

I initially had them come in to service an old furnace that was making odd noises.  Their service guys are fine; honest, knowledgable and very prompt and fast working.

After looking at the old furnace (and the fact that repair was impractical), a "comfort expert" came and assessed the situation, which ultimately ended with me signing a contract for them to remove the old furnace and install a new Lennox SLP.  (They are owned by Lennox so you won't be presented with any other options, fyi.)

Lennox systems have a lot of mixed reviews -some reportedly work great, others reportedly are total junk, so I also bought a 10 year warrenty and maintenance plan so I wouldn't have to worry about repair charges if needed.

I also asked the comfort specialist to set me up for a duct cleaning, which hadn't been done since we bought our house 8 years ago.  He looked around, and said that would be no problem.  Turns out it was - I probably wouldn't have gone forward if he had told me then that the asbestos tape around my ducts prevented them from doing the vent cleaning, but he didn't.   In fact, they didn't tell me about the duct tape until after the installation had begun - this is after  the initial serviceman, their comfort expert, and the three installers came in and looked around.  (News to me: asbestos tape is white and was wrapped around the ducts connections to prevent air escape.  If you have asbestos tape on your system, you first have to have those professionally removed before you can clean or install new ductwork.) (It would be nice if Angie's list has some asbestos remover reviews...)

On the day of the install, I was told to expect them by 9am, and they weren't there.  I had to call to ask where they were: I was told they were on the way and they finally showed up around 10:30am. Three guys showed up.  They did a great and very professional job with the installation itself: everything looks good and appears to be running ok, and the return they installed looks fine too. They definately know what they're doing technically.  A+ for that.  Also, they do all the paperwork for you to get a rebate from National Grid ($500), which was a big help and very much appreciated.

Problems: as mentioned above, they only told me about the asbestos tape after they started work.  I really wish I'd known about that because now I have a new system with old and dirty ductwork.  Kind of defeats the purpose and is the reason I gave them C's instead of B's.

Other complaints are mostly just minor giping: sure, use my bathroom, but could you at least put the soap back in the soapdish instead of putting it on a shelf that had to be cleaned afterwards?   Also, I told them I was working from home, so the first thing they do is bring in a boom box and start it up - never once asked if was ok.  I had to move upstairs to use the phone because of this. Lucky for me I actually like Pix106, but I think the hard rock and metal music might've been a bit too much for other folks.  Also, they made zero effort to minimize whistling, shouting, singing. I'm all for a fun workplace, but I'd be more respectful when I'm in a person's home.  Petty stuff, perhaps, but I was expecting more considering all the hype on their website about their professionalism.

Finally, the whole idea was to improve air quality, but as part of the install, I am told they spray the furnace with linseed oil to prevent rusting.  They said the smell (very strong) would dissipate in a few hours but it's still strong 2 full days later.  The night of the install, it was so strong all our eyes were burning and watering - I wish I had known about this or been warned beforehand.  It is getting better but you might want to consider spending at least the first night after an install in a hotel or something.

I have been having problems with my Gas Boiler for my hot water baseboard heating system since I bought my house three years ago. I have had Service Experts come a number of times and I do not get the same answer as to what the problems are or how the system works. The last time I called them it was because my thermostat was failing to regulate the system and my heat continued to go up regardless of whether the thermostat was on or what it was set at.The technician that came was able to solve the problem but he told me that what he did was not really a solution and that I would need an $800 part in order to fix it. I did order the part but the system seemed to be working fine so I canceled it the next day and it has been working fine ever since. Everything turned out fine. He only charged me the renewal cost for a one year service contract and a discounted diagnostic fee (due to being under contract. However, the fact that he set me up to purchase an $800 part to fix the problem that was unnecessary was troubling. The house is supposed to have three heating areas controlled by three separate thermostats. One area is intentionally disabled (the basement, as we are not currently using it as living space,  the second area is the bedrooms and that regulator does not work but the baseboards in the bedrooms seem to be controlled by the third thermostat and regulator which seems to work fine.

Our air conditioning has to be in the basement so it is a little more complicated.  We could have had it done cheaper but we opted for a better unit with a guarantee on it.  We have used them for a long time; they installed the first air conditioning unit 15 years ago and at that time it was a family business.  I didn't compare the price with anyone, but the price seemed fair.  The salesperson and the installers were very professional.

Scheduling was a breeze and the company called to confirm the appt. one day prior.  The service person was prompt, friendly, and worked without interruption.  He quickly wrote up my receipt and wished us a Happy Holiday.

I did not get them off Angie's List originally myself, but I know they are listed.  They are very good.  They arrived when they were supposed to.  They did the job.  They were courteous.  They explained what they were going to do and they did it.  We haven't had any issues.  It was expensive.  I don't have any comparison for their price.  I just got an estimate and got the work done.  I have a service contract with them.

The old condensate pump kept turning on and off. I called and asked for the price to replace condensate pump. The operator could not put me in contact with anyone who would give me an estimate. I told her to schedule a service call without the estimate because I used them for annual maintenance. The technician did not have the same brand as the old pump and said that they had stopped using the old brand. The final price was $250 which included a 20% discount on the pump as we had annual maintenance contract with them. I thought $250 was a bit high but I did not know what the pumps cost. Afterwards, I looked on amazon for condensate pumps and found the old pump we had for $40 and no listing for the new pump. At this point I was not happy with the $250 price tag as the pumps were cheap and the job only took about 10 minutes. I would not be complaining here if t was just a matter of cost but the new pump is much louder and wakes up people on a regular basis.

I am not happy. The technician did 1.5 hours of work. They charge $120.00/hr for labor. Even with a half hour travel time the labor was $240.00. They charged a flat-rate for the job, which means I paid $260.00 for a part that costs tops $100.00.  Check the price at Granger.com for example.

I was a customer for three years. Not anymore.

I call this company because I have a service contract with them on the furnace and I did not want anyone else to work on it at all except these folks. The basement work started on  6 July 2011, I had Roland Dawns suspend the furnace a couple of days prior. When I called them, they came over the next day and did the work. I paid them  in advance so, I new they were paid.  All they had to do is reset the furnace after the basement contractor was done.  I called, to let them know the contractors were done, this was just before the hurricane came through, they informed me they would be here as soon as they could, it took them 3 days after I call to show up. That is fast especially after a natural disaster like we had. They came by and finished the work and they said they will set up an appointment for me, to have the furnace serviced before using it. These guys are professional and they really know their stuff, keep it up.
