His crew was punctual, and proceded to work in a professional manor. They got right to work stripping off the old shingles. With the exception of lunch, they worked the entire time, no hanging around taking lots of breaks, they respected us and our property, and even fixed some things that we didn't expect, ie, fixed a piece of loose siding near the roof, and replaced a leaky ridge vent over the garage. (the ridge vent was an additional cost) but that is to be expected. Pat, the site foreman that day showed me and my husband the material they use for the ridgevent and how it works. I have had no problems so far nor do I expect any, but feel secure that if there is an issue that this company will take care of anything that should arise. They cleaned up all around the house, so no mess for me to clean up. And the added bonus 5% off of all services because of our Angies list coupon. We are planning on replacing windows and siding in the future and expect we will be calling Cousins again to do that work when the time comes. Thanks to Jason, Pat and the rest of the Crew.

Replacement of roof went very well. However, 2 months later we had a roof leak in our dining room. They came out right away and did a temporary repair. They came back a couple of weeks later and did a permanent repair. They are unwilling to repair the damage to our dining room ceiling caused by the roof leak. They admitted that the roof was not completely installed correctly causing the leak and the damage but since they don't do the kind of work to repair the ceiling, they seem to feel it's not their responsibility. I believe they should either hire someone to repair our ceiling or credit us the value of the repair. They have made good on fixing our ceiling. They arranged for a separate contractor to come and do the repair. It did take some persistance but they honored their warranty.

Weather did complicate the scheduling of the work but it was accomplished within a reasonable amount of time.

After the estimate was recvd and contract signed, we were informed it would be 2 weeks till they could get to the job. I happened to be working from home 3 days later and the truck pulls up with slate in hand ready to do the work. I checked with my husband (who confirmed they were not expected) and called the contact numbers from the contract, but couldn't reach anyone. The workers did not have the work order and the only way I could confirm they were who they stated they were is that they showed me checks they had for previous jobs they had done that day and a box of business cards. In their defense, they continuously stated they would leave and return at a later date. However, with the evidence they were able to produce from the truck I allowed them to do the work after we reviewed my copy of the work order. The slate was originally the incorrect size, so they needed to obtain the correct materials - which they did promptly. The work was done quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up all area

Jason arrived as promised and provided a reasonable quote; the work was scheduled for a later date. His employees who performed the work were friendly and quick to get to work. The work was completed to my delight. Jason took the time to provide "insider" knowledge on other projects I was completing.

After hurricane Irene, everyone was too busy to do the work or even call me back. However, Jason called me back and explained they were busy and could get to us in two months. He was honest and did the job. Thanks, Jason

Everything that had to do from start to finish went very well.

I had contacted Jason to get an estimate on a roof replacement and he was responsive in getting back to me to make an appointment. He did spend some time with me going over the options of materials and provided a reasonable quote that was very close to other estimates I had. They arrived at around 9 on the day set to do the work with a crew of 5 and were able to remove the old roof and put the new roof down in one day. By 4 pm when I arrived home, they were still doing some cleanup, but the new roof was on.

I could not be happier with the final product! I interviewed 7 roofers for this 4 day job and Cousins exceeded my expectations! The crew was rained out 2 days during the week and it rained hard with no leaks. They left the job each day with a water tight roof in the event it did rain. They came on a Saturday to finish the job. I was very impressed with the work ethic of this crew, their expertise on materials and their installation, and friendliness to explain the process each day. I knew this was going to be a tough job and a lot of siding needed to be removed to install the roof system properly but these guys handled it. Theyreplaced a couple of siding boards without charging extra. No hidden costs, what was on the estimate is what we paid, which was highly competitive. It would be hard to find better work quality for the price, making the value incredible. Even after explaining that they had to replace the siding boards, Patrick told me to my surprise that it was included! This is a classy enterprise and had I been able to afford to side my house, they would have been the guys to do it! One last thing...The reason I chose this company, other than the price is because they don't take more than one job at a time! Thats huge! When rained out, they showed up to finish the job the moment they could! Thanks again for an awesome job!

Its nice to see that there were no surprises and it went exactly as Jason had said. My mom and I were very pleased from beginning to end. They were punctual, professional, and cleaned up very nicely afterwards and we love the results! What more could we want. Thank you Jason and to your team!

Jason Hall responded quickly to a call for an estimate and, within the day, came to look at the house and talk with us about the work that needed to be done. We received an estimate in a timely manner, and Jason returned to go over everything with us again. We established when the work would be done, and the job started on time. During the job, as needed work was discovered, we were always told all our options and given estimates for each piece of additional work. The job was completed in a timely fashion and we are pleased with the results.

Jason worked with me when scheduling the appointment to come out to do the estimate, and he was quick in getting the estimate to me. Scheduling the guys to come out and do the actual work was also very easy, they should up on time and were quick in gettng to work and cleaned up the area completely upon completion of the job. While on the roof they noticed that the chimney need to be repaired and offered to do that while they were on site and had the needed material to completed the additional work. Very happy with the job done, waiting for it to rain to ensure that the roof no longer leaks, plan to call them to come out and do more work on the main roof of the house.

The work done on this project is my second home, located in NY. Jason was very professional and easy to work with. My brother lives in the house and said they did an excellent job, when they left you would not have known they had been there safe for the new gutters on the house. Thank you. Jason quickly returned my call and set up a time to meet me at the house and look at the damage. He was knowledgeable, friendly and willing to take all the time necessary to explain the pros and cons of every option available. We decided what work we wanted done and scheduled a time for his crew to start and complete the project. He and his crew were on time, extremely professional and kind. They removed all the debris from the tree that hit the roof, tore off the old roof and removed that, and replaced the roof in a day!! They then removed our old bridge (huge wooden beams and boards). They dug and installed concrete footers, attached steel beams and double decked it with pressure treated boards. They then poured concrete on the garage side of the bridge to level the garage floor to the bridge and then added pavement to the driveway side to even it with the bridge. Everything was done on time, and the work site was left spotless. The icing on the cake for me is the fact that each and every time we pull in the driveway my wife says how great that bridge looks. Making her happy is the ultimate sign of success and not easily obtainable. I will have Cousins back again to do other work for me this year and have been spreading the word of finding an honest, fair, and kind contractor to everyone who will listen.

Jason was very responsive to our request for a bid for the roof. He met with us and explained the project in detail, he took us around to see roofs he installed and helped us with deciding color and shingle manufacture. A number of the crew were family members, they were very professional and hard working. Started and finished the project on schedule, cleaned up daily and did a major cleanup at end of project. Pat, the project lead, was very easy to deal with and worked along with the crew. I did a fair amount of reading on roof installation practices and beliieve they followed the 'good practice rule book". I would not hesitate at all to recommend or hire them in the future. Jason also provided us with insurance documentation.

Called for estimate in May 2012. Work done in July 2012. Estimate was lower than others called. Owner came and spent some time looking at the job and explaining what needed to be done. Crew of three arrived on time and began demolition. After the first set of shingles were removed, I noticed a crew member bringing new shingles up to the roof. I had to tell him the proposal was to remove two layers of shingles and one of two deckings, before new shingles were put on. Crew member stated that he had not read the proposal! If I was not there to oversee the job, it would have been done incorrectly. They proceded to remove one deck and the other layer of old shingles. Then the new shingles were put on the original decking.They did a good job with the new shingles and new flashing. They picked up debris and ran magnet around house. They said they were done and I paid my bill with the Angies List coupon discount of 5%. I did not notice, until the next day, that the gutters on the front porch were full of debris and nails! Not happy! I had to get up on a ladder to remove debris myself. Back porch gutters were clear of debris, but the downspout was stuffed full. Have found several nails in lawn and driveway since. Overall, I would give them a B minus, but that is not an option.

Trust them..they'll handle everything

We have no complaints about anything of the chimney work we have had done. Overall, a very good choice for anyone who needs this type work done.

Called Jason in May, he returned my call promptly. He gave me a written estimate. He told me they were scheduled tightly for the next several weeks but he would put my job in the queue. Two guys came a few weeks later. The job was done very professionally. The crew cleaned up afterwards, all leaks have stopped, and I was very pleased with the work. Would recommend to others.

Jason & Patrick always replied in a timely way, and more so after I sent in the signed contract. Jason took a lot of time to answer my many questions, and is a font of roofing knowledge. They were prompt, and completed the job in the stated timeframe, even though it required working past 7pm on day 2 of the 3-day project. The cost seemed reasonable (though I admit that based on the strength of the reviews here I didn't bother gathering other quotes) for a roof with as many slopes and dormers as mine has. They honored the Angie's List coupon. They did excellent clean-up: I only found a couple of old roofing nails on the ground out of the many hundreds that were pulled. I am completely satisfied (so far--it hasn't rained or stormed yet) & would recommend Cousins to friends & family. My only (very minor) quibbles are:* I didn't realize how much debris would be knocked off into the attic & they didn't mention it to me, so I had a lot of clean-up to do up there, some of which could have been mitigated if I'd had the chance to lay drop clothes down before hand.* They left some scaffolding on the roof & a flat-iron on the ground. However, they came back for 'em minutes after I called about it.

i called and made an appointment - the person was 10 minutes late but well within the time i expected him. he inspected the roof and said the chimney needed work also. He was willing to do both at the same time which would save me time and money. The crew came and did the job in the 2 days that was stated. they worked on days that were very hot but did an excellent job. I also liked the guarantee i got on the workmanship.

Cousins provided the most though estimate and assessment of our roof. A top quality job was completed on schedule and on time.
