I was pleasantly surprised at how fast things happened, all at a reasonable price. They were prompt, courteous, professional, honest about what is the best for me. My roof leaked during a winter storm. I thought adding a gutter on the second floor would alleviate the problem. When I asked their opinion, I was told fixing the roof area that meets the second floor wall would resolve the problem, a gutter wouldn't be necessary. On the day of the job, the crew showed up on time, worked swiftly and precisely. I went out for a doctor's appointment. When I came home, new gutters are installed, debris were all cleaned up. Since then, we have had quite a few big storms and heavy rain. My new gutter worked great. I will definitely hire them again in the future for anything related to my roof.

Jason was quick to respond to my initial phone call. He lives close by to my residence so he came over that day to look at the situation. A written estimate was dropped off a few days later . There was a bit of a delay as he thought I was going to drop my signed copy in his mailbox and I mailed it to the office instead...but that was easily sorted out. Rain delayed the project a bit more but again...no one can control the weather. The crew called Memorial day morning and asked if they could come out. (which was a surprize as it was a holiday) and they come out and did a nice job and cleaned up after they were done

Everything totally met my expectations. My initial call to the company was returned the same day. The next day Jason came over and gave me several possible solutions. We decided on the best approach and he went out to his truck and printed out a very detailed proposal. A week or so later the crew came out and did the work. A crew of 4 or 5 worked all day and completed in the late afternoon. They cleaned up everything before they left. The crew members that I talked to were all friendly and professional. I waited 6 months to write this review, because I wanted to be sure there were no problems with leaks. I am happy to say there were none, even after all the rain we have had this year. I would definitely use them again.

It went so well it was amazing. Everything that was explained to me about the process went exactly the way it was explained. They went above and beyond to match the existing roofing material on the front of my house. The crew was professional and polite. The work was exceptional. Do not be deterred by the age of the owner or the crew! They have experience and more importantly integrity! They take pride in what they do and it shows.

Jason and his crew were great and I would recomend them to everyone. We had another quote from a larger local company that was recomended and the price for just the house was almost $14,000

Arrived on time and as promised, took time to answer all questions and concerns. Stayed late to finish job on time and budget and cleaned up all materials when finished.

I selected Cousins based on the reviews here. I could not have been more pleased. I had used another company in the past, and the quality of work from Cousins was MUCH better. They quickly responded to my initial call, and had an estimate that same day. They did the first half of the work the following day, were thwarted by rain, but came back on the weekend to finish. They stayed in touch the whole time, and did a great job. Highly recommended.

Outstanding job! We had just a small project for our kitchen roof replacement. They showed up on time, carefully removed the old roofing and installed the new flat rood with a 30-year rubber material. After they were done, they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and left the area spotless. Although they were very talkative, they did the job in less than a day. They were very professional and knowledgable about the roofing business. I am an avid DIY'er and know enough about everything to be dangerous. They answered any question I threw at them. Gilbert and Mark were professional, courtious and helpful, going above and beyond their work to help me out. I have two fake knees and they actually blew out my gutters of the leaves for me while they were in the area. They are a good group and I would hire them again in a second.

After two major storms I discovered a serious leak with my roof. I had some initial problems reaching them but this was a busy time combined with a vacation. Once we got in touch, they were very good about getting back to me. The problem was quickly diagnosed (a previous company had been unable to figure out what was wrong). They completed the repairs quickly and the problem was solved. I would happily use them again and when I need a new roof, I will give them a call.

I have a big roof of 3000 sq ft. I have my chimney repair together with roof replacing. Jason was able to contact and work with the masonry contractor and worked out a feasible schedule for roofing, and came back in spring after chimney work done to complete the chimney flashing. We had lots of phone conversations to finalize schedule and the sequence of roofing and chimney work. There were several 'plan changes' because of inconsistent schedule with masonry contractor, but eventually Jason suggested to come back and finish the flashing after the mason repair the chimney in spring. I was glad that they did the work before GAF shingle price went up, while still charging me the old shingle price. The team came on time and completed within 2 days. They did cleanup the gutter and yard. I am very pleased with their work and the 30 year workmanship warranty which is 10 years transferable to the next owner. They provide very reasonable price compared to other quotes. In contrast, I was shocked at the doubled estimate by so called 'GAF certified' contractor from Home Depot. They claimed 50 year manufacturer warranty due to the certified roofing skills, which to me is cheating because the shingle itself can only stand at most 30 years. Anyway, I will recommend Cousins to my friends.

Jason and his crew are always thorough, prompt, and professional. They go the extra mile to make sure the jobs are done right and to our satisfaction. They're very personable, responsive to questions and phone calls, and leave the place spotless. We've consistently found their pricing to be very reasonable and competitive. We highly recommend them...despite the fact that Jason is a Yankees fan. :)

From start to finish work went flawless and completed job was just as expected. Would definitely use again.

The workers arrived early in the morning and worked all day completing our roof on a hot summer's day. They finished the entire job in one day which was amazing. They did an excellent job. The new roof is almost a year old now and I am posting this a little late, but I wanted to see how the roof did its first winter. Everything is great even though we didn't have a very harsh winter with alot of snow.

The service was excellent, they were very punctual, and professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

the management arrived as promised to give me a estimate which ended up being right on within $100. they took a few days to get me the estimate but it was organized and well thought out. The team arrived on time, were prepared and went right to work. although it was very cold and windy for the two days they worked very hard, stayed professional and positive and got it done as promised. the cleaned up daily, stayed organized and took all their trash upon their exit. I was very happy with the project and the staff.

I cant speak to their quote amount or work since they never returned my call after over a week.

I was impressed with the progress they made with their four man crew. They opened up only parts of the roof they knew they could close off before the end of the work day and covered oopen edges with tarps. On one day there was the possibility of rain in the afternoon, so they did four small porch roof areas and other prep work rather than get caught by the rains, (which did come.) From the delivery time of the shingles, till the finish and wrap up of cleaning, five days,....with four of them being the work days. Although the roof part went well, I'm not sure there was complete coverage of one area the estimator had said they could do, "no problem", mainly re-tacking the pieces of the eaves where some of the pieces had come loose a bit. There was one small breakage in the vinyl siding, which I found later in the summer; but it was small enough to be filled with a healthy glop of outside caulk by me. True to his word, the estimator/manager applied the Angie's List discount to the second half of the bill, which was paid at the end of the job. So that saved me $500. Altamont

Our 90+-year-old Dutch colonial needed the entire roof replaced including the detached garage. Cousins Construction was able to fit us in on short notice due to a cancellation. All work was completed in three days per the specifications on the contract. The total quoted price was the lowest of all estimates we received and, in addition, the company honored the 5% Angie's List discount coupon which made the job affordable for us. Their representative was very professional and easy to work with. I would recommend this company for other roofing work in the greater Capital District.

I actually had this company do two different jobs for me. The first one was repairs to a slate roof that had some missing slates and miscellaneous other details taken care of including some chimney brick work. This job totaled $1,377.50.I was very impressed with the owner Jason Hall's attitude, honesty and promptness on this job, as well as the work and clean up performed. I then had him work on another building to remove a flat roof and replace with a new rubber roof including installing a new drain. (He found that there was actually a double roof to be removed--evidently the previous owners had done their roof job over an old one% Again the work was done promptly and cleanup was impeccable. Jason, the owner, works on the job himself along with his helper(s). I would definitely recommend him!

Cousins was excellent. Jason promptly returned our inital phone call, and scheduled a time to see the roof. He was very personable and knowledgable in his decription of the work. The work was completed right on scheduled, and Jason continued to be great about letting us know about the progress and process. We are very pleased with the way the roof looks as well. Would highly recomment this company.
