Charles Moorehead - CDM Contractor

Mr. Moorehead was hired by an senior citizen to replace a failing concrete driveway in a subdivision. The workmanship on the completed driveway was so awful the City required it be redone. City letter stated, ?Recently replaced driveway is severely deficient in all facets. Poor workmanship, installation and finish is unsightly and is a hazard. Englewood requirements and guidelines were ignored. A serious and unsafe condition currently exists. Driveway Must Be Replaced.? Another contractor was later hired to replace the driveway properly. Mr. Moorehead was clearly not qualified to perform the work, but still collected the second half of the payment at completion of the job, even though the workmanship was obviously substandard. When later informed of the City?s letter, Mr. Moorehead showed surprise and stated he saw nothing wrong with the results. Mr. Moorehead ignored all requests to repay the money. Mr. Moorehead?s quote was twice the other bids, but he used the "friendship" he established with the elderly man in order to win the bid. Mr. Moorehead preyed on this senior citizen by doing odd jobs around the house, at an expensive rate, with poor workmanship. After this driveway incident, Mr. Moorehead ended the ?friendship?.
