ROTTERDAM SEPTIC SYSTEMS INC

It didn't go at all. This is an updated review of one I have here from 9 years ago. I've tried four times to get them to come and snake out the foundation drain I previously raved about, with no success. I'm torn because they did an amazing job several years ago solving a flooding problem in my basement. They've come several times in the past to pump my tank and clear the drain of roots, but as I've said, I've now tried four times to schedule a time to do yearly maintenance and am told someone will get back to me but no one ever does. Last year it was twice setting appointments and no one showing up. Sorry, but this company's reliability has fallen flat for this customer.

I scheduled an appointment for an inspection and pumping. The first available was over 4 weeks from when I emailed them. I took the day off to be home for the inspection. They were scheduled to come at 11am. When 11:30 came and no one was here I emailed them with no response. When 12 came and still no one I called and left a voicemail, no response. When 12:30 came, another voicemail, no response. They never showed up and never returned my calls or emails. Took my business to a company that actually wanted to do the work we needed done and was actually cheaper then what they quoted me for.

Matt was very professional and respectful. I could hardly tell he was here since he replaced the grass after digging it up to pump out the septic tank. I would highly recommend his services.

The technician arrived at the early end of the timeframe I was given. It was a short window, 2 hrs, which I appreciated, can schedule my day better. The gentleman was outgoing and friendly, worked quickly, explained what he was doing. I gave N/A for the price as I don't have a basis for comparison. The company performed this service last did so 3 years ago, so I can't compare to that price. I gave up on them after contacting the owner 3 times.

Had to locate since tank was covered by 3 foot of soil. Found lid on first attempt. Returned soil and sod hardly notice area was disturbed.

Larry and Matt were great. I was under a time-crunch, and they were able to move me up in their schedule by two weeks. And, THEY ARE REPUTABLE. I obtained estimates from septic companies in Ballston Lake and Queensbury as well. One tried to convince me that I needed a pumping station (for another $3,500), and the other one tried to convince me that a full engineering plan was necessary (for an additional $1,100). I highly recommend that anyone needing septic work, contact them.

Very well. They were prompt, fast, clean and provided nice service.

I called them 3 times over a 3 week period. never returned my phone call. have used them before in the past. In fact, in 2012 they replaced my leach field for my septic system. I guess they can't be bothered returning phone calls anymore. The price I am listing below is for the the last time they were here to pump the tank in 2012. I can tell you that I do not recommend them at all.

After many years of frustrating septic problems and being told by two septic companies that I needed an entire new system from the house to the leach field I decided to consult with a plumber. It was difficult to believe that an entire new system was needed as this had been done in 2009 and the leach field redone again in 2010. After making a few repairs the plumber indicated that the septic tank was full and would need to be pumped out. For a household of one this would be the fourth time in six months that a pump out was necessary. He recommended Rotterdam Septic Systems Inc. and they arrived within an hour or so. After emptying the tank they observed, as other septic companies have in the past, that water was rapidly entering the tank from the outgoing drain. Rather than just deciding that the leach field was faulty these young men took a few minutes, determined that the leach field was dry and continued investigating. As it turned they discovered a second tank with an effluent pump and the plug to this pump had inadvertently become dislodged in the garage. Problem solved in a matter of minutes. One would think that the septic company that installed this tank and pump would have had some record of this and not recommended a whole new septic system.
