The owner in Stony Brook, Jim LaFontaine, is completely honest and reliable. He and his team go the extra mile to assure an excellent job and back the quality of their work. They painted my deck, and the weather had stripped it in certain places after a year. Returning to touch it up, they realized that it would not look right and so repainted the whole deck at no cost. Jim had to go considerably out of his way to find the matching paint. They have also done interior work for me, including painting my kitchen cabinets, and I could not have been more satisfied.

The crew of 2 were personable, courteous and did a great job...attended to all requests and even schlepped upstairs huge heavy bookcase which was delivered to the front door. Excellent professional painting and detail oriented. Amazingly fast completion with immaculate clean-up every day and at the end. Many thanks to all!

Good job on what was painted. Had to paint little annoying things like door frames myself as these were apparently not part of the contract. One paint color not even close to the sample. I went out and bought another color which matched fine. I see by another review that this is not the first time. Between good painters and a little do it yourself if needed you will end up with a fine product.

The work was done in the time frame I required,it was done neat an cleanly. The only problem was that after the paint was put on the wall the color did not match the paint sample I gave them exactly. It was close enough so I didn,t complain about it. Overall it was a very good job.

Lou is a professional he knows his job the two men he had at the house were excellent very clean. Overall great workman ship. He was a little higher than the other guys but I feel like I got the best job for the money.

Unhappy with the experience. The manager of the job realized after a few days into the work that he underestimated how much repair work there was to do and stopped repairing and started rushing the work. He wanted to charge me for things that i didn't approve after i had made it clear to him that i didn't want to spend any more than the original amount. During the preparation the workers got heavy amounts of dust on everything including stereo, tv, etc. The caulking was poor to non-existent, tiles were broken and not repaired with care. When i pointed many of these things out excuses were made. i would not recommend them.

"Homeowner was extremely unrealitic in wanting the painting project to cure all the home's ills which were the result of years of neglect and abuse to plaster walls from both the family and the pet. After carefully advising the client regarding paint colors which would cover within our spec on the project, of 2 finish coats,the client continued to select extremely deep based colors requiring 3-4 coats to cover and wanted to add accent walls to all rooms as well as changing colors after areas were completed and did not want to pay any change orders. A very unpleasant client who nitpicked everything and even wanted us to re-grout her loose tiles"

Extremely professional, cautious persons. I really felt good that I made the right choice getting my work done by CertaPro. They bent backwards to meet my deadlines. The guy who did the job was a perfect gentleman. I would use them again on my other projects and will have no hesitation recommending them to my friends.
