Trained in Ireland then moved to Long Island to live the American dream of starting a my own business.Owner is on each job from start to finish.We also work with many General contractors that build houses, kitchens and bathrooms. Mike Connolly was extremely professional and reliable from start to finish. After reading many reviews on Angie's list decided to give Shamrock Electric a call based on information we read. Mike contacted us on the same day we called and scheduled an in-home estimate 2 days later. My husband and I thought we may need to upgrade our electrical box but after his honest evaluation was advised we didn't need one that we just needed to have rewiring done.  My husband and I appreciate his HONESTY there are some providers out there that would have tried to sell services that were really not needed. We received a writing estimate a day later and decided to hire Mike. He called us back right away and we scheduled a time for him to complete his job.  The night before he called to confirm he was coming the next morning.  Mike and his assistant arrived on time the next day and started to work right away. They were courteous to us, our home and even our cats. We are extremely pleased and happy with Shamrock Electric and will definitely use them again.

Mike was away for the weekend when I placed my initial order for the outdoor outlet through Angies List, but he had the courtesy to keep me informed as to his schedule and contacted me upon return. He scheduled my work extremely expeditiously and was very accommodating. The ceiling vent fan I purchased didn't fit the hole left over from the prior fan perfectly. Mike took the time to spackle the gaps, which I felt was outside of the bounds of his responsibility, and I really appreciate the extra effort. I am very happy with the results and I am sure I will have Mike do additional work at my home in the future. A+ Highly Recommended.

The job went excellent.  It looks beautiful.  We were also having vinyl siding done at the same time.  He was very accommodating when he had to come back at different stages of the job.  He was extremely kind, friendly, and professional.  The quote he gave us was in line with the other quotes we received.  We intend to use him for any of our electrical needs in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone.  Once again Angie's List came through!!  Couldn't be more pleased!!!

As always, Mike did an excellent job. This was a short notice call, as we were getting ready for a graduation party and realized just days before that ants had infiltrated our outdoor outlet. We needed this outlet for outdoor lighting for the party. Mike fit us in and did the job with his usual professionalism.

As always, Shamrock Electric showed up exactly when they said they would, both for the estimate and then to do the actual work. The workmanship, reliability and their professionalism is the reason that I call them for all of my electrical work.  I am a stickler and told by many that I can be difficult to please, however, Shamrock Electric rises to the occasion...every time!  I was originally quoted $1,900. to do the job and when it came time to pay the bill Mike Connolly, the owner, told me to pay him $1,600. since the job went faster than he had originally anticipated.  That kind of business practice is almost unheard of these days.  I would absolutely recommend Shamrock Electric for any type of electrical work you may need as you will not be disappointed.

Mike the owner ,is the utmost professional. This is the fourth time we have used him, with his prices being very fair, and work that he does excellent. He is always on time, and also communicates very well while the work is going on . We have used other electricians, and I cannot stress enough that we would not use anyone else from now on

Michael was prompt, courteous and professional.  We had a nice chat as he went about his job.  The circuit problem was no problem because I never reset the GFCI box after it tripped off.  I laughed at my oversight while Michael smiled and said, "It happens."  I will recommend Shamrock Electric without reservations.  He diligently cleaned up when he was done.  A pleasant experience.

Mike was an absolute professional. He shows up and finishes when he says he will. Does good, clean work, and was even nice enough to fix a switch in another part of the house that was left in a sorry state. My house had many challenges that made this project anything but easy, but his good nature and attitude, always left us calm and confident. I promise anything else we call Mike for in the future will be much, much easier.

Initially I could find a good electrician in my area but after some searching I found Shamrock Electric with the best reviews.
Due to my work schedule had to reschedule the initial estimate couple of times but when Mike showed up I knew that he will get this job.
 Everything was done in the same day and very professionally.  Was able to test the equipment right there.
Definitely will call him if I have any other electrical jobs.

Mike did electrical work for me, & made an appointment on little advance notice.
He showed up on time, & was courteous, knowledgeable, & professional. I thought his rates were very reasonable, & he gave me an Angie's List special (two hours of work for $199), which I wasn't even aware of beforehand. 
Mike left no mess while working, & everything was restored to the way it was before his work began. He also gave me good advice on how a pendant lamp would look best. 
I recommend him to all who are looking for a conscientious electrician who does good work, & who is a good listener, & is good at diagnostics.

Mike was great and on time. He installed an outer outlet box for my pool and replaced a broken outlet in my kitchen. I would defiantly recommend using shamrock electric. I will be calling Mike again to install outside lighting for my deck.

Every service performed by Shamrock Electric exceeded our expectations.  The company holds to the highest standards.  For example, estimates are fair and have never exceeded stated cost.  Installations and upgrades are done professionally and are high quality.  Mike is very detailed in his work; for example, when he upgraded the electrical service the entire panel was marked and he provided us with a hand writen list detailing each breaker to each appliance and light.  Mike and his crew arrive on time, never rush or leave a mess.  His men are polite.  They speak to each other via walkie talkies.  There is no shouting!  My husband is a contractor and has gone through many sub-standard electricians.  He can rely on Mike and calls him for every job and of course, our own work.  When it comes to electrical work. there has to be perfect, high quality work.  Shamrock Electrick has stood the test of time; they have been with us for several years and that will not change.  Wonderful company

I got in touch with Michael Connolly, the owner of Shamrock Electric, towards the end of April, requesting an estimate for the work that is detailed above. He came out the next evening to check everything out. Within twenty-four hours, he sent me his proposal, which was readily accepted. Once the barn light arrived from the manufacturer, I called to arrange to have all the work done on a day that was mutually convenient. Everything was done exactly as agreed, and Michael's work was done professionally, meticulously---and so neatly, that apart from the visible improvements, you would never know that anyone had been drilling through walls and studs to make them happen.
Without any hesitation, I highly recommend Shamrock Electric to anyone who is in need of an electrician.
