Description of Work: Burner King switched us over to gas. We were using oil.

Description of Work: the cost was before rebate from national grid. |They replaced old oil system with new gas boiler. |they removed old tank |they installed a tankless hot water heater | |This was a large job and it went quite well. Myself and 10 other neighbors all converted together. I recommended Burner King based on research I did. Many wanted to research a vendor themselves. I believe all of us went with Burner King, they were professional and by far the least expensive. I saved over $3,000 my first year over oil. | |I believe everyone else was happy as well. There were a few kinks along the way but Brian got them resolved to the best of my knowlege

Description of Work: Excellent pre-sales which was both 'push' free and gave me time to understand the quote and some background engineering stuff which others hadn't explained. | |Install was very quick, very clean, and very professional. Clearly highly experienced installation team, they took very special care to not damage a new floor.

Description of Work: After Hurricane Sandy demolished my boiler I called Burner King who sent their representative to my house. With no heat, electric or hot water and my dear 93 y.o. mother in the hospital, I explained to them that I was the caregiver to my mother and I would need to have heat for when she came home from the hospital. The rep told me not to worry because they "had a warehouse full of supplies" and "it would only be a matter of days before they would have me up and running". The rep wanted a thousand dollars deposit but I told him I only had $500 of my mothers' money to give him at that time. I wrote out a check for $500. and waited, feeling hopeful. After a few days of not hearing from them I called their office. Each and every time I called I received an answer that was more of a "put-off" type of response and finally, after days and weeks had gone by, I was told by one of the girls (Debbie, Karen or Brook) not to call any more (in a very nasty tone) and that they would call me when they had the boiler! At that point I said, "Wait a minute...you said you would have me up and running in a couple of days...that's why I gave you the deposit....my mother will be coming home from the hospital and I will need to have heat for her when she does. If I can find another company that has the boiler for me will I get my deposit back? Their answer was YES. On November 29th I called Burner King telling them that I got someone to do the job and to please refund my $500 as they said they would. To date (May 6, 2013) I have not heard from them nor received my $500 deposit back.
