Description of Work: A huge branch came down due to a storm. Our tree is in an odd spot and access is difficult. A competitor who quoted us $200 less described how complicated it would be, what he'd have to do, including disturbing our neighbors. On top of that, he couldn't guarantee he could even do it, AND he couldn't give us a definite date. Rick came in after him took 5 minutes to say he could do it with no problem, could get there 4 days sooner than the other guy, but the price was $200 more. Ok what could we do? When he came though, I was amazed at how fast it all went. He had a team of maybe 5 or 6 guys with him and they worked like a well-oiled machine, taking down the branches, getting them out of the yard, and getting them into the wood chipper. They cleaned up everything and even took down some extra dead branches. They were very professional and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: They did an excellent job removing a huge black walnut tree from our yard. They had to remove a fence piece to get to the tree. It was removed and replaced without any damage.They cleaned up the yard after the tree removal. It was like the tree was never there!

Description of Work: This vendor was first contacted in August, with only claims they were busy and not able to give an estimate. This took over a month to preform. It was the same extensive delay for the work to be done, which involved HALF a day, only, not some extensive multi day job. They did professionally and safely remove trees, but did NO hedge trimming, they cut out the big branches only. Their cost was excessive for the final job in my opinion. I do not recommend them, for their unprofessional timeframes for estimates, lacking estimate descriptions, which were basic at best and left a lot of leeway for them, and scheduling jobs which ended up being 2 months.

+ -1 moreWe had a very large ash tree in between our yard and our neighbor's yard that was dying and hanging precariously over our garage. The same neighbor had contracted Rick Turk a few years ago to remove a large maple tree hanging over her home and was really pleased with him and his work. I called him for an estimate and he came right out in a day or two. He not only removed the ash tree but he removed, free of charge, the two smaller trees in front of it to make the work possible. He personally came with his equipment taking care to protect the lawn as much as possible. He was on site the whole time, in charge, and running the equipment himself. His team worked together like a well oiled machine. When they left a few hours later the yard was literally raked clean, lawn still in tact and everything was hauled away.
Description of Work: Rick Turk Tree Service took down a massive ash tree, chipped all the brush and hauled all the wood away.
