Stay away from this company!!!! We paid them $4,800 for a chimney repair in April 2019 with a 10 year warranty. The problem was never corrected and my roof is still leaking. We have called them back multiple times with no satisfaction. The last visit here was December 8, 2020 where Jim Hubler looked at the problem and proceeded to curse me out with horrible vulgarities and asked me to come outside and fight. He has an anger management problem and should not be allowed in any customers' homes. Their contracts state they have a 10 year warranty on their work, don't believe it! I feel cheated. There are many other contractors in the area where I am sure you will not be subject to the verbal abuse I received as the customer.

Jim Hubler and his team are the best contractors by far in the roof installation and repair business. We called in 4 roof contractors 4 years ago and Jim Hubler was the only one of the 4 that actually went onto the roof which was remarkable to me that the others stood across the street and decided I need a new roof. The other 3 vendors all said I need new shingles asap while Jim said I could get another 5 years out of the current roof and even repaired some loose shingles for free. I waited 3 years (no incidents) and then decided it was time (35 years old) and called Jim and his team in. They were extremely reasonable in terms of cost and I could not be happier with the results. They were timely, efficient, patient and knowledgeable. They even came back for the damper vent and inspected the roof after the recent storm. The Hubler team is the gold standard for roofing, You will not be disappointed and it is a pleasure to work with an honest, hard working team who cares about his customers and his work. Great company. Not a lot of companies today have the level of professionalism as Hubler has. I've used them several times for various roofing work & it has always been a very good experience. They excel in all aspects of customer service.

We had an appointment with John G. Hubler & Sons on April 11, 2017. Jim Hubler arrived on time for the appointment. We asked him to give an estimate on a new roof on our home and garage. He looked at different portions of the roof. Jim asked us immediately "Why am I here?" He informed us the roof appeared to be OK and not in disrepair. He said we had several years left on the roof. We were totally amazed and happy to hear this. We told him about a possible small leak in the roof by a first floor bathroom and some moisture on the floor in the garage. Jim went up on the roof and took pictures of what was causing the leak. He said we needed sealing around the vent pipes, chimney flashing, and repair nail holes in shingles and that’s it! After the inspection, Jim was very honest and said we did not need a new roof, but only a roof repair. I had several other Roofing Specialists come out to give quotes. The quotes were from $10,000 to $17,000 for a total rip-off of the roof. No one mentioned roof repairs. We decided to go with Hubler because of their honesty. A working crew came out May 31, 2017. They did all of the work listed on the proposed estimate. The job was done professionally. Jim Hubler said if we had any issues in the future to call him. I can’t believe there are still honest people existing in our world today. I will surely use Hubler & Sons again for any roofing repairs and any other services they provide.

They did a great job. It turned out the skylight did not need to be replaced, and only the seal needed to be redone. They did not try to oversell the job, and they were very professional and prompt about fixing the skylight.

It went very well. I was worried about matching the front and back sections of the roof because the original roof color had been discontinued, but they did an excellent job matching it up. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. A very pleasant experience all around.

Jim was great. He did not try and sell me a roof that I did not need. He made some recommendations and gave us some options. We hired him to have the roof inspected and sealed. He was professional, courteous and respectful (including taking his shoes off when walking in the house despite me telling him it was not necessary).

We found this company and their staff to be very courteous and professional. The estimate and work were done in a most timely fashion. We had concerns after the work was completed and they returned to fix the problems promptly. We would definitely use John G. Hubler & Sons again.

Please do not get fooled by positive reviews. The company is simply terrible. Misleading and money hungry. Steve is an extremely shifty guy, once he receives the money, something magical happens to his memory and it is impossible to make him finish the job. Things that are discussed during quote never make it to the contract in full, I honestly think that it is done on purpose, so you can pay more later on. I was not looking for the cheapest company, I was looking for quality work, which you hope to get when you are spending 18000. Now, they certainly can do a very good job when they want to,but you have to make sure that you are looking over their shoulder. 
I live in RVC and I was very excited to find someone local. When Steve first came in he made a very good impression on me and definitely looked like someone who knew what he was doing. He stated that it was his job to worry about everything and he never does half of the job. I signed a contract for exterior and interior work and so the work began. 
They started to work on my windows on Monday, on Wednesday I got an email stating that they were done and were going to move inside of the house. I asked my dad to go in and take a look and was very surprised when he called me back stating that not only they did not complete half of what was discussed, but they are now claiming that it was not a part of the contract. They basically left pieces of rotten wood under new trims that they have installed. When I went back and read the contact it clearly stated "replace all rotten wood under all windows." Additionally Steve pointed out to me that I need to replace a wooded step under my side door and we agreed that we will do it, however that never made into the contract. OK, my bad, I needed to read it more carefully, but what was completely outrageous is that he claimed that he never stated such a thing, when both my dad and I vividly remember that conversation. I called Liz (who by the way is the only person I really liked to work with and who really tries to make things right) and asked her to help. Everything was corrected int he morning, but I would prefer not to make it such an effort for my own money. 
It became better once they moved into the house. At that point we were keeping an eye on everything and once again came in in the evening to look at work that was completed inside. The minute we entered the house we found a broken vase on the first floor, with glass all over the floor .Not a big deal, but when my dad asked what happened there, Steve claimed they did not do it. OK, once gain, not a big deal, but no one else was in the house. At that point it almost felt that Steve does not even go their to look at the project and his team does whatever they want on their own. We asked them to put a drywall into by daughter's closet and was very surprised to see such a poor job. It almost looked like they used leftovers from some other project and the wall was not even stable. The window well that they refinished for me looked  decent, but was not the right shape. It was slightly off to the left, once again not a big deal, but  they are calling themselves professionals. We called Liz in once again and she agreed that the wall in the closet had to be replaced. It was done yesterday.I can go on and on, but I think at this point you will get the picture.
I honestly did not want to leave a bad review because of Liz, but I  hit the wall when I walked into my house this morning to learn that my sideboards were not painted and replaced as it was stated in the contract (needles to say that once again I received a confirmation that they were done). I texted Liz telling her that I expect that the job will be completed by the end of the day today. To be honest I just want to be done with this company. Liz  apologized once again and they are coming to finish the project, but I will never be hiring them again. It is something that I added later on and I sent at least 5 emails to Steve and he personally added it to the contract. Once again, once he get s the money, he does not really bother...
I want this review to be fair, so I have to say that they did  a good job on exterior work and ok job on the interior, but amount of errors and so called misunderstandings was above my comfort zone.  

Jim and his colleague Andrew were great. They were on time, professional and a pleasure to work with.

It was very satisfactory. I have no complaints. They finished the job on time. They came in exactly at the estimate that they gave me. They were extremely courteous. They cleaned up everything after they left. I couldn't be more pleased with them. The price was fine. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Everything turned out fine. It was all fine. It's what they do for me for 20 years.

From the estimate to completion, these guys were super professional and did a great job. Jim did our estimate and provided us with a huge depth of knowledge on how s***** our roof was (thus all the leaks). After negotiations and signing the contract, they estimated 3 days but it took 4 and they completed it without trying to cut corners. They arrived on time, cleaned up everything  on each day and left us with an amazing new roof. If we had questions or concerns, they answered any and all questions via email in a timely fashion. The price was OK, a little more than we wanted to pay but knew the job had to be done right from the get-go so we added on all the extras without feeling like we were being up sold. Also, the price estimated was the final price.
Very happy with them and would recommend them again and again.
