were delivered a few weeks later and I had picked them up. I had never
done any window replacements before and got all 11 installed in a
weekend. I would have had them installed but we had issues with Lead
Abatement and that would have added $1000 onto the cost.

I would have expected in regards to the operating mechanism. The installers
left exposed ply wood edge showing instead of covering it with molding. As the
installers pulled in the truck was too tall for my trees and they hit a lower
branch. I stopped them from pulling in further. No real damage. The installers
left and when they returned they pulled in past where I had stopped them before
and went under the limb they hit before. Upon leaving they ripped the sizable
limb from the tree which I had to cut up and drag out of my driveway. I called
the Wonder Windows salesman who sold me the window and was assured that the
window molding would be fixed and wasn't sure why they would leave the ply
wood edge exposed. Wonder Windows then contacted me, I'm pretty sure it was the
owner, who tried to tell me that there was a design change in the window that
the installers were unaware of and that is why the edge was left exposed. There
was no design change. The design was the exact same as the sample that the
salesman showed me to begin with. Basically I was given a line of crap.. The
owner then said they would be in contact the following week to address the
molding. That was a week ago. I haven't heard from them and have bought the
necessary molding and supplies to fix it myself.
"The bow window frame was supposed to have been edge banded, providing a finished look and allowing the installer to leave a reveal which gives a better look to the project. In speaking with the customer and realizing our error, we ordered a factory repair kit that arrived in 2 weeks (not 1) and were prepared to schedule the service when the customer informed us that he had taken care of it. We understand why our customer is frustrated but we have installed the highest quality window with a lifetime parts and labor warranty and we'll continue to stand behind our job."
"This customer contracted for an addition with BSL Direct Sales, Inc, the parent company of Wonder Windows in 2009. We made every effort to satisfy and adjust the scope of work for this customer. The BBB determined that we had made a good faith effort to resolve the complaint and closed the file in September of 2010. The experience for us as a company was very difficult. As a 50 year old company, we work very hard to make every customer experience great. However, we realize it is impossible to please every customer."

"We apologize for not contacting you sooner. After doing our research including stopping by Morse Sash and Door, we realized that the original suggestions to you were correct. Replacement vinyl windows for the piano room would cost 3500.00 but you would have significant glass loss and a noticeably different look from inside and out including color and finish. You would almost certainly want to change both windows at that point so the exteriors matched. Andersen has replacement sashes with high efficiency glass that would maintain the windows existing appearance. We looked into getting the windows ourselves but this work is better left to an Andersen dealer who is familiar with the procedures. We appreciate the opportunity to quote this work. After mulling around for about a month, we decided to go with Wonder Windows and the sales rep was out at our house the next day. Then a representative came out 3 days after to take final measurements.
