It went great. John came out and gave me an estimate in the summer of 2016. We ended up having to wait until 2017 but in my case anyway (can't say this would happen for every one) but they honored the quote from 2016 much to my pleasure. I interviewed 4-5 more roofers before deciding on Todd Fritz. They did the job, they did it reasonably quickly. It was a full tear off on the house and just new shingles on the detached garage. The team were nice guys, they were efficient and they cleaned the place up. I could not have been happier. The following summer I had the house sided by a different company and they did a crappy job replacing the gutters to the point that I did not trust the gutters to stay up in the winter so I called John and they showed up, inspected and replaced all my gutters, dirt cheap (no reason for them to do it for free as they didn't cause the issue) I am sorry to see the negative reviews as my experience was top notch and I would have no hesitation to hire them or recommend them!

I did many hours of research, and got quotes from many installers before selecting Todd Fritz. I was looking for a GAF certified installer, preferably Master Elite. Todd met with me personally, performed the measurements and wrote me a quote on the spot. His quote was the most detailed and thorough, and his price was very competitive. Many of the other big name roofing companies sent slick sales people, but with Todd I felt like I was dealing an experienced and knowledgeable roofer. His crews are employees, not contractors, and they were very professional, courteous, clean and efficient. Todd was very responsive during the quoting and scheduling process and the job started and completed on time as he promised. I would recommend him without hesitation.

They did a great job! Many people in our neighborhood had this company do their roofs. So we saw how nice those roofs looked ahead of time. And our roof looks just as nice after they did their job! And we get some really big wind storms. This is our second winter since the new room and ALL is great!

Contractor did a good job. Installed a GAF roofing system. Most of the work was done in a couple days and cleaned up when the job was finished. If there was a problem or the wrong material was on site, it was corrected promptly. The Contractor included a manufacturer's warranty upon completion.

The guy came out thinking I wanted a quote for gutters even though I told him the night before that I need a new roof & insulation in my walls. I even said that when I made the appointment. I contacted them after a week or so to see how much longer it would take for the quote. I received an email saying the guy was going on vacation & he would quote me a week later. A few months later...I still don't have a quote.

First off, they completed the job in one day, but put 9 guys up on my roof at one time to do that. Secondly, I never got the ice guard I paid for, and only learned that approx. 2 years ago when I had to put a new roof on it. When my gutters where installed, the sub contracted company shorted me 4" on all ends of the house. Therefore, the gutters came up short by 4" on all ends of the house, so I had nothing but water problems dripping off the corners of my house creating water problems. There answer to this was to cut the end caps off and extend the gutters with a 4" piece, which the seams quickly started to leak after about a year. They put thinner plywood on my house than I paid for, and I could go on. Shingles did not hold up any longer than 10 years without losing all their grit causing streaks, and they never fixed a rafter that was sagging. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and cheaper is not necessarily better. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

Things went very well throughout the entire process. I contacted two businesses for a quote on our roof. Todd Fritz got back to me the very next day to set up the appointment for the estimate. He came and gave the estimate before I even heard from the other company. I was so pleased with the interactions and price I decided to go with them without the other quote. I felt that their price was fair and they were able to proceed quickly since it is January in Rochester. They arrived on time and worked quickly to have the job done.

The guys arrived within a few minutes of when they were estimated. They kept me updated as to the time frame of the job. They worked efficiently, cleaned efficiently, and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with all of the work they did. I can see the specific improvements for issues that my roof was having. I would definitely recommend Todd Fritz to friends and family.

I called for an estimate for work. John called to set up estimate. He set up a time for that day. He sent someone else who came early. Which is fine except he did not know what work I was specifically looking for and was just going to measure the roof and leave. Luckily I came home early and was able to walk him through all that I wanted to have done. He seemed knowledgeable, answered my questions measured everything and left. That was end of anything good. I waited one week and heard nothing back from anyone about the estimate. I called John's cell phone, no response. I then called the office two days later. The woman was very curt and said someone would call back right away. No one did. I called John one final time - two weeks after the estimate asking if there were any questions, trying to give him one final chance to respond. Even letting him know that my uncle ACTUALLY works for him. Even that did not prompt a response from him. Luckily, we live in Rochester with many professional, responsible and reliable contractors. Clearly this has happened to others as well. I can only say, look for someone else. I would discourage anyone from contacting Todd Fritz - which is a shame. I had high hopes at the start.

I contacted Todd Fritz about getting an estimate for a new roof. John called me back and we set a time for him to come out the next day. I went through some inconvenience to make sure I was home at the appointed time. He never showed up. No phone call - nothing. Very unprofessional.

John Chatt was very fast in responding to my inquiry, and to come over to see the house. He also made a timely offer that was good, very well priced. While I ended up choosing another contractor, I appreciated his professionalism and the quality of his offer, and will definitely contact him again for important house work.

We already were aware prior to his visit we would need to replace multiple pieces of roof sheathing due to water and mold damage on the property. He worked up a quote without needing to entering the attic of the building, which was questionable but fine. His demeanor was unexpected for someone who would be setting a first impression. As he was about to hand over his quote he was asked about the replacement of roof sheeting as it had been recommended by other contractors. The situation went from awkward to extremely rude as he pulled the quotation away and said he didn't replace roof sheathing and let the other guys do your roof. Maybe this was just a bad day but it's not how a potential client should be spoken to or treated.

"I have no idea who [Member Name Removed] from Coventry, Connecticut is (we are a roofing company in western NY), however based on the description I am assuming he is referring to an estimate done on Monday 4/25/16 in Greece NY. I personally met with someone at that location, inspected and measured roof for replacement (which included going up onto the roof for a thorough inspection). Upon writing up a very detailed estimate I stepped inside the doorway to review our quote and answer any questions. Item #2 on our estimate clearly outlines how we address any rotted or damaged roof decking (to say that we stated "we don't replace any roof decking" is ridiculous). Person at the home indicated she already had several estimates and did not seem interested in ours. I was not rude (even though the estimate was awkward from the time I got there), I suggested maybe she select one of them, and I was not going to leave our quote, job specifications, product literature, etc knowing homeowner was not going to consider us for the job. I am available to answer any questions regarding this estimate if the homeowner would like to help with choosing a roofing contractor she feels will give her the best job possible at a competitive price. I would also like to thank the homeowner for initially considering our company for her roof replacement. Todd Fritz"

I am extremely pleased with Todd Fritz Inc. I worked mainly with John Chatt and his Foreman Steve. Both John and Steve were respectful, professional, punctual, and pleasant to work with. John was easy to talk to about any questions I had. He always called me right back and addressed any concerns I had and always exceeded my expectations in addressing them. He also helped me with the color of my roof and he chose a great color to match my house. I would HIGHLY recommend Todd Fritz Inc. I felt comfortable with the price, the people working on my house, their punctuality, their niceness and professionalism. They cleaned up my yard impeccably and I never heard one concern from my neighbor next door. If you need a roof, do yourself a favor and call these people!
