they were young and tireless, moved quickly and efficiently-a lot of banging , scraping and bumping...we were to have been sent only 2 men and a truck and instead received 3-not in the agreement-hence the high price for a 3 hour move. When questioned by phone, the reply was that if they had sent the original 2 men-it would have taken longer and cost more anyway...also, I was never told about Wardrobe boxes-this would have saved a lot of wear and tear on my dad and I.

We booked Sheridan early May 2013. We had to move some appliances and heavy furniture as well as some boxes. Ricky and another guy showed up on time and were SUPER friendly guys- Ricky was a really hard worker but the guy with him whined the entire time! and quot;My back hurts. This is SO heavy. I am really thirsty. I need a breakand quot;. It took them 6-7 hours when it should have taken them 4 or so, and we were charged for the entire time they were here, even though the one guy took 4-5 breaks, each lasting about 15 minutes.
They didn't damage anything, and were super respectful and careful with our stuff. Their truck was clean and spacious.
I would have used them again, and just requested they didn't send the same whiny guy, but when I requested a quote online (we just bought our final home and are moving at the end of the month) I never heard back. A week later, I called to see if they got my quote request and the owner answered. He put me on hold, was short, kind of rude and didn't give me a quote. I asked if he could send someone other than that guy (Ricky was great, and I let him know that). He said and quot;I'll look into itand quot; and didn't seem concerned. You'd think they'd be more interested in repeat business, and would be a bit nicer, considering this will be an all day big job and they'd make well over $1,000.
Anyway, I ended up canceling this second job with them and booking with someone else instead.

Excellent service, and great flexibility in allowing us to reschedule several times to give us time to complete a home renovation project prior to moving in.

The movers were professional, friendly, and efficient. With expertise they very carefully moved my appliances down the narrow back stairway of my 100 year-old-house. I will be hiring Sheridan Brothers Moving again a year from now when I move into the main house.

When we moved we had left half of our belongings in our old house in order to and quot;stageand quot; it so that it might sell better. Once it did sell, we had to of course hire movers to relocate all of those things to our new house. It took 2 movers about 5 hours to move everything, which filled their truck completely. Mostly it was furniture and some home decor items, so a lot of large and heavy things. These guys did a good job and did it quickly.

Move the contents of my brother's apartment to a storage garage.

I have moved several times in my life and this was by far the smoothest. Joe and his two crew members did a fantastic job. They are experienced and extremely professional. They were right on time and they went so quickly they made me tired just watching them. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

The guys picked up furniture at our friends house and then came to our house to pick up our furniture. They then brought it to the new house. They were extremely professional. They asked where we wanted furniture placed before putting it down. They weren't able to get a couch in the basement due to the fridge and waterline, but said that if we got the water turned off and moved the fridge, we could give them a call and they would come back out and move the couch for us.

Great under a stressful situation

Very accurate in price projection, helped with packing when it became clear that I still had lots to do. The crew worked really hard and as quickly as feasible.

The movers arrived on time and were finished in less than 2 hours.

Overall from start to finish I received a five star service. It doesn't get any better than that.

The more experienced pair packed us up.
But they didn't drive the truck to our new home 4-hours away so a different crew, much less experienced, unpacked us.
Our bedroom and office furniture was a bit complicated to take apart and they had no idea how to put it together, so that fell back on me.
95% of the items they moved were moved very safely with no damage. A couple of items had damage but neither of the younger pair that moved us in bothered noting it to the company - I guess they felt that was my responsiblity. Furthermore, I was not given a survey from the company to rate their service - as this would have given me the avenue to note the damage.
Regardless of the few negative issues above, I'd use this company again - especially if I could get the more experienced pair.
They met ever need of my schedule both packing and unpacking.
Both crews had good attitudes - something I've missed in other moves in my life.
Overall - a very good company with a some room for improvement.

After meeting with their salesman and booked our move, we decided to
purchase extra insurance to cover some higher end furniture we have. I
was assured we would have that dollar coverage should there be any
issues or damages. I have no complaints about the three men who
actually moved our furniture, they did it in a timely fashion and were
very professional. They arrived on time, and worked well together. We
had three pieces of furniture damaged in the move, Two of them (minimally)
which we noticed while the movers were still here, so one of them filled
out some paperwork and took photos. He told me someone would contact
me within 48 hours to set up the repairs. I was pleased to think that
was how easy it was going to be. After they had left I was making our
bed and realized they had broken our mattress, by folding in incorrectly
to get it up our staircase. I called and spoke with Jennifer the next
morning to tell her what I found. Her response was and quot;what do you want
us to do about it?'. To make a long story short, it took until I filed a
complaint with the BBB to have the two damaged pieces fixed, then took
well over three months to get reimbursed for my broken mattress. The
owner of Sheridan Brothers never same across as very professional, I got the run
around from him. At one point he suggested I reread the section in the moving guide
about what movers are liable for. I did, and learned if you purchase
additional insurance from a mover, they are required to provide you a
copy of the policy or they are liable in full for all damages to your
property. I called him and told him this, we settled on a dollar value
and I was reimbursed.

After reading a lot of reviews about moving companies, I decided to go with these guys. I also decided to schedule the move for 8:30am, so as to avoid any delays from an earlier move. I highly recommend doing that. They arrived on time, and headed into the house to assess the situation as a whole. They came up with a game plan very quickly and began grabbing stuff. This was smack dab in the middle of Hurricane Sandy, so we had a lot of rainy weather before, during, and after the move. Thankfully it was fairly light rain during the move itself, but the outside was very muddy. They did a great job lining both our apartment and more importantly our new home with tons of pads and cloth, to keep it clean.
The whole time they were very friendly and professional. We had lunch together after a majority of the work was done, and they were extremely grateful for the food, to the point of thanking us constantly.
Overall a fantastic experience. The price was very fair, even less than I thought it was going to be. Definitely going to recommend them to anyone in the future.

We had to change the move dates a couple times due to the house closing running in to days and time changes (as those things can come up).Sheridan brothers made sure they were available and at times seemed to move mountains to make sure they were available making our complicated move seem effortless from their prospective any ways. They showed up when they said they would worked in a timely fashion and with the utmost of professionalism. The guys worked hard as this was a complicated move and went above and beyond to make it happen and finish the job the right way! They worked long and hard tirelessly through the better part of three days. We have been 100% satisfied.

The crew (Eric was the lead man) showed up on time and ready to go with a good attitude. The good attitude did not fade as the move went on all day long and multiple trips. These guys were fast, efficient, and very nice to work with. We've done a number of moves and this was by far the best experience. Highly recommend with no reservations.

The office staff were friendly and answered all of my questions. They were accommodating to our busy work schedules when setting up our appointment for a moving estimate.
On moving day, the 4 men showed up on time, communicated their plan, and started working immediately. They designated one person to pack boxes and the other three stayed busy loading the larger items onto the truck. Our small, fragile items were wrapped and thoughtfully packed into boxes and were neatly labeled so we could easily identify our things while unpacking. They were careful loading the truck and wrapped the large furniture in blankets, to prevent scratching/rubbing during the move. Several items were antiques and family heirlooms and they handled them like they were their own.
We moved two households to one house and we had an appointment to move things from the 2nd place the following week. There was time and room left on the truck after moving the first place so I asked if they would be willing to fill the truck from the 2nd house. Once they confirmed with the main office, they came and moved as much as would fit in the truck from the other house. Fortunately, it was a local move and they were able to accommodate our last minute request. That was a great help and expedited our move overall.
The men were friendly and hardworking. I appreciate their patience and respect for our personal items as we figured out where we wanted them to place each item in the new house.
Sheridan Brother's Moving is a class act. I'm thankful that our move was a happy one. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to someone who is moving for other reasons and is in need of a sensitive, respectful crew to accomplish this.

The mover arrived on time with two men. They packed the first group of household items quickly and carefully,then drove to the next grouping of items at the second stop,again quickly and carefully packing items and furniture onto the truck.The same went for the third stop .The crew then drove the truck to the final destination and unloaded all the items and put them in the proper rooms intact.The men used heavy drop clothes to protect the hardwood flooring and moved everything with care.The leader CJ and his helper were attentive to our concerns and addressed any worries with had with respect and were very competent. They were neat in appearance and courteous through the whole experience. They set our worries at ease and made the trying day much easier for us during the move.All the items arrived clean and intact due to there diligent use of packing materials and care.Actually at one stop some items in storage were damaged from a damp unit and CJ offered to take pictures with his cell phone and forward them to our email so we could submit them to our insurance company,anther example of extra care and service. Our choice of using this company was soley based upon prior Angies list feedback from other people that used this company. They had many"A" reviews and it proved valuable to us as we also had a very positive experience from contracting them for the move.I highly reccomend this company and would use no other mover for any future moves.

Very smoothly. Staff were punctual; if there were minor delays, they called.

The in-home estimate went well. the agent was on time and polite. The agent seemed eager to be of assistance. Once I was told that the company would definitely move me. I began to get ready, however, anxious, because the date had not been settled. Eventually, I was contacted with a suitable date.On the day of pick up, the labeling agent was more hour late. When the truck finally arrived the guys quickly packed and were pleasant. The only negative was that they did not have the proper screwdriver to break down the bed.On the day of delivery, I was most disappointed that the driver did not communicate the delay. I reserved loading dock from 3-6pm. The driver did not arrive until 8pm. If I had known of the delay, I could have adjusted my schedule accordingly. Instead, I sat in an empty apartment, afraid to go out to eat, just waiting for hours. The actual unloading did not take too long. (One object was missing a handle. A previously repaired piece of furniture was re-broken. These things were not a big deal. I have moved myself with a truck and driver 6 times without losing anything or re-breaking anything, but it is all par for the course.) Unfortunately, an hour was spent putting a twin bed frame together which has been put together in less than 10 minutes on multiple moves in the past. The delivery team was not pleasant. I really felt uncomfortable with them in my apartment especially at such a late hour. I only let them in because a friend waited with me. The in home estimate was a significant under-estimate. Overall, my things made it without much damage. I notified the company of my disappointment without any response. The lack of courtesy/professionalism of a small company is surprising and unacceptable. I have had others move me for free. This was not for free. A few phone calls to let me know about the delay would have went a long way.

Brian (one of the owners) showed up with two of his employees, they were all cheerful despite it being the end of the day. They worked harder than I could have hoped for and I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are for their hard work, positive attitudes, and the care they took with our belongings, and with our new home. We will definitely be using their services for our next move as well!!! As I told Brian and the guys, even though we were paying for their service, we could not have anticipated or expected their great attitudes or their care.
