John P. answered the phone when my husband called Rochester Appliance asking if we could have assistance in the move of our fridge from one house to another. This was a last minute call when we realized our fridge wouldn't fit through our new home's door without removing the fridge doors. John was very informative, polite and professional on the phone, as well as when he and Jeremy promptly arrived the next day when he said they would arrive. I called a few days later to ask a question, and the person I spoke to on the phone was also very informative, professional and polite. I found Rochester Appliance on Angie's List and felt confident in hiring them for the job based on their ratings. You should feel confident in hiring them as well.

Repairman was not able to observe issue w/stovetop, Oven manufacturer no longer makes repair parts.  We weren't able to get our issues resolved, but was not due to the repairperson's expertise

They were able to send person out within a day of our calling them. Ben arrived within the timeframe given. He assessed the problem quickly. He had the part with him so was able to fix it right away.  After having to defrost a large amount of ice from the freezer fan area he cleaned up any water that was left. He was friendly, polite and professional.

Simply the best appliance repair experience I have ever had. Ben was terrific. He identified the problem and fixed it within one hour. I had called this morning asking for immediate help as family arriving tomorrow. Would I use the company again? You betcha!

Had two appliances that i needed repaired. Got their name from Angie's List which had good reviews. They came to the house, fixed the dryer, the ice machine only had a frozen ice piece in the back which they were honest about and did not charge for it. Reasonably priced and good customer service.

Very well.  Ben was very polite and did an excellent job.  I would definitely call them again.

Let me tell you how honest Dean is. A few years ago, he found a $20.00 bill inside the washer (outside the drum but inside the base).  After the repair, he told me about finding the money.
Such honesty! I would never have known and he could have kept it.
Since he was so honest , I felt I had to split it with him. He did not want to take it but I insisted.
  I have recommended Dean to a friend and she too was very happy with his services.  

I stopped into the store to look at the available used washers.  Not only was the location clean and organized, the employees were personable, helpful, experienced and informed. I was asked what price range I was looking for and was shown two washers that fit my need.  It was nice to obtain information from one who actually repairs the appliances because he was straightforward with me when I asked which was the most reliable overall of the two and that is the one I chose.  It happened to be the repair person's personal favorite.  I thought I was going to make some big sacrifices with a used unit and I didn't have to at all!  It was a perfect fit for me, priced right and came with a 1 year warranty. I had it delivered the following week.  I am very pleased. I would highly recommend Rochester Appliance.

Every thing went well.  The technician was on time and maintained phone contact as to his arrival.  He diagnosed the problem and then replace dthe defective part.  I thought the price was a bit high, but it sure beats the price of a new freezer and it was done quickly.  They arranged the repair within two days of our request.

I had forgotten  to open up the drain from the dishwasher to the new disposal I had installed  the day before.

The repair person was very sympathetic and didn't laugh. He said this was acommon problem. He fixed the problem very quickly.

The refridgerator/freezer (side-by-side) stopped working with a house full of family from out of town. I send an email for a service call in the early morning and was told someone would be by later that day. Ben showed up and had us back in business by 5 PM that day.

Our washing machine stopped agitating and would only go in to spin mode so we called Rochester Appliance. They were very courteous and professional. They showed up at the appointed time as promised with a follow up call to confirm our appoint. Overall we were very satisfied with the initial request, follow up and work done. I did feel that $205. was a little expensive for a 10 minute service call. I know you pay a house call charge which I don 't dispute , time for a mechanicst time, knowledge etc. The part I don't understand is how they can mark up the price 200-300% for what was literally a 10 min house service. Strange as it may seem I would use them again . On line the part price was $60.00 fr om other sources

I was told that the washer was not worth repairing. The repairman was kind enough to explain what was wrong and why it did not make sense to repair it. I was offered a discount on a purchase, equal to the cost of the service call, but I found a used washer elsewhere that seemed like a better deal, so I did not take advantage of that offer.
I was pleased with the repairman. He seemed knowledgeable and I got the impression he would have done a good job, if the job had been worth doing.

My overall experience (from calling to schedule an appointment, to dealing with Ben - the repairman, to calling again a few months after when dishwasher leaked again) has been pleasant. They are all helpful and professional. Ben, especially, is courteous, professional and considerate. When he thought he was running a little behind the time frame he had given me to be at the house, he called to let me know (even though he ended up on time). He was patient about figuring out the problem and finding a solution. He explained his thoughts about probable causes and the steps he was about to take to me. Whatever the cause was, Ben managed to fix it. Having said this, the dishwasher leaked a month later (although not as bad as before) and when I called and explained the situation, they were apologetic and accommodating and told me they have a 6 month guarantee on their repair work. Ben came to the rescue and the dishwasher hasn't leaked since.

First contact for service was professional and helpful. I knew the problem so it saved the diagnosis trip. They had to order the part and I was contacted for the appointment. There was some confusion on the service time. It was supposed to be first thing in the morning but that morning I got a call and they said it would be between 3-7 PM. My bill was adjusted for the inconvenience.
The service man was polite, clean and a pleasure to work with. He is a great representative for the company.
I will consider them when I update my kitchen.

Quick, prompt, courteous service.  We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends or neighbors.

from start to finish, the process was quick, easy and  very much appreciated. could only do laundry on the delicate cycle, so some laundry took a lot longer to get done before the rochester appliance came over.

They called to set the appointment up in the morning. They provided prompt service and  were very courteous. We will call them again for sure.

We called for a dishwasher repair. Because no one could come today, a gentleman spoke to my husband and gave him some things to check for.  My husband was able to correct the problem himself without a repair bill. Because the company was so helpful (and honest), they will be the first company we call for any future repairs on any appliance.

Renters broke my refrigerator. We called Rochester appliance based on Yelp reviews (we did not belong to Angie's List yet). We live in TX and are renting out my house in NY until I can move back home. These guys were awesome. They worked with us on scheduling a time that was convenient with the renters to go over and do the repair. They were very polite and understanding of the situation. I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to other people.
